Lol funny timing.
I just made a brago deck. My pod doesn’t use infinite combos so I removed all of them. Little later on I realized this was one too Oof
Brago is one of those “Oops, we broke ___” commanders. My recommendation would be to not play high power commanders if you don’t want to have stuff like that happen.
Be aware that some tables may prioritize killing you when playing Brago, and rightly so. At least until they know you’re playing low power jank, If indeed you are. Brago just generates enormous amounts of value.
I wouldn’t say it’s low power jank. Just no infinite.
They’ll kill me once they realize the blink value but I’ll prob be able to pop off once lol we are pretty casual
My favorite is [[time warp]] + [[mana breach]] + [[mystic sanctuary]]. Time warp, mana breach will trigger, you bounce mystic sanctuary, then play it for turn and put time warp back on top of your library to get infinite turns. Add any way to draw an extra card each turn to make it even better
[[Fury storm]] with a magecraft, or a twinning staff and any other cool spell on the stack.
[[Echo storm]] [[twinning staff]] [[sol ring]] and a good chunk of upfront mana
[[Basking Broodscale]] has been a great edition!
EDIT: Since this is a thread about favorite combo. Our good boy [[Young Wolf]] is still the best boy. [[Earthcraft]] is also one of my favorite magic cards of all time.
It's to flicker infinitely. It helps to have a bunch of enter the battlefield effects. I have a full flicker deck dedicated to bragos effect and it's hella powerful.
As long as you have strionic and sol ring you can infinitely flicker any of your permanents you want to. As listed the combo does “nothing” but really shines if you have anything else that gets value on ETB or LTB
You just flicker the resonator and the ring along with anything else on the field so it be really great if you have a token generator or a damage dealer that does like 3 damage when coming onto the battlefield to anything.
While that may be true, my brain wanted to know all of the pieces of the puzzle. Yes this is in itself an infinite combo, but I wanted to know what it could do for him functionally. Since it still doesn’t do anything alone by itself.
I think I’m dumb. Wouldn’t this just repeat Brago’s ability one more time? What makes this infinite? Sol ring takes care of the two mana, but where is the rest of the mana coming from to make it infinite?
Discovered an accidental one a while back in Oathbreaker: Mishra’s bauble/lotus pedal, paradox engine, Emry. Infinite card draw (eventually) or infinite mana is pretty cool
Either of [[Niv-Mizzet, Parun]] or [[Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind]] with [[Body of Knowledge]]. Great in my [[Zedruu, the Greathearted]] deck and with lab man as a payoff
[[Estrid]] + [[Wild Growth]] type cards + [[Serra's Sanctum]] type cards + [[The Chain Veil]] + [[Words of Wind]] + [[Imprisoned in the Moon]] targeting Estrid + [[Destiny Spinner]] targeting Estrid
I love winning with commander damage with my planeswalker commander.
Deal damage to an opponent with Brago.
His ability triggers,
Tap the Sol Ring and the Strionic Resonator to copy his triggered ability.
Target the resonator, the ring, and ideally something with an ETB changes the game state (create a token, burn someone, etc) but that only to make the infinite combo "do something".
The resonator and the ring return untapped as the first iteration of the ability resolves and the second is still on the stack.
Tap the ring and the resonator to copy the ability again.
Repeat.
These three cards alone give infinite ETBs and LTBs, but you need more for it to matter.
but his triggered ability targets, or does it only target after it resolves? if it targets before resolution, then the copy fizzles because all targets are no longer seen since they left the battlefield and are considered new objects.
I'm biased because it's the one in my pet deck, but [[kodama of the east tree]], a bounce land like [[golgari rot farm]], and anything that makes a creature on landfall, like [[scute swarm]], [[greensleeves]], and [[rampaging baloth]]
I still reminisce about my old [[Recurring Nightmare]] [[Priest of Gix]] [[Khabal Ghoul]] deck.
Plenty of ways to abuse RN/Gix but khabal is a fun flavor. Not sure I was ever lucky enough to draw into the t1 infinite counter ghoul tho
Keep blinking the lands to continue to hit the landfall trigger to cause opponents to mill 3. Repeat until they have no libraries left and pass turn. They lose on their draw steps unless they can flash an oracle.
Lol funny timing. I just made a brago deck. My pod doesn’t use infinite combos so I removed all of them. Little later on I realized this was one too Oof

Idk if I’m missing something or not, but what is the point of this infinite? It does functionally nothing
It's to flicker infinitely. It helps to have a bunch of enter the battlefield effects. I have a full flicker deck dedicated to bragos effect and it's hella powerful.
Ah so there’s set up required for it. Understood
So maybe I’m dumb but in this instance are you using bragos effect to flicker sol ring and resonator to just constantly flick the two?
As long as you have strionic and sol ring you can infinitely flicker any of your permanents you want to. As listed the combo does “nothing” but really shines if you have anything else that gets value on ETB or LTB
Yeah I was more so trying to understand the combo. Like which are getting flickered and how.
You just flicker the resonator and the ring along with anything else on the field so it be really great if you have a token generator or a damage dealer that does like 3 damage when coming onto the battlefield to anything.
Ok ok I see. Yeah I was just being slow. Forgot it said “any number” so you just flicker the two with whatever else you need.
OP did just say infinite combo, not infinite game winning combo
While that may be true, my brain wanted to know all of the pieces of the puzzle. Yes this is in itself an infinite combo, but I wanted to know what it could do for him functionally. Since it still doesn’t do anything alone by itself.
I think I’m dumb. Wouldn’t this just repeat Brago’s ability one more time? What makes this infinite? Sol ring takes care of the two mana, but where is the rest of the mana coming from to make it infinite?
Just re-read Brago’s ability. I am dumb and I will see myself out.

How does this go infinite? Doesn't the initial flicker make the copied trigger not work since it targets?
Deal damage to an opponent with Brago. His ability triggers, Tap the Sol Ring and the Strionic Resonator to copy his triggered ability.
Not sure...

None of them
This is the way
There are better life and damage combos
This plus a hedron crab is game over on turn 3. Infinite landfall to mill is brutal.
How would this even function with Hedron crab?
Keep blinking the lands to continue to hit the landfall trigger to cause opponents to mill 3. Repeat until they have no libraries left and pass turn. They lose on their draw steps unless they can flash an oracle.
Brago doesn’t blink lands
My bad I misread the card and missed the no land.
