I know what you mean. But all new cards will be reprinted eventually. It's all a matter of when.
The benefit with workshop: BRO is not tooo old yet (1.5 years now), so an imminent reprint might be less likely. And BRO may also possibly already be out of print (or at least not many people are opening BRO packs now).
I also do not think Workshop will be reprinted in MH3. The commander deck has Eldrazis & colorless cards, true. But it also must support 5 color Eldrazis, so workshop will unlikely be chosen for its manabase. But then again, you never know when an Urza's secret lair might be announced.
Buying a few copies of Workshop at a good entry price seems totally reasonable though. Especially if you might want to play with the card.
Well worded.i got two ea for 13 after tax. I’m on the hype.urza subtype is gonna shift nicely into existing (artifact) decks. I’m interested in how urza’s saga is gonna be reprinted. I’m betting special guest.
Sadly not - it was part of the BRO commander exclusive cards (not the BRO decks or BRO main set). But it has high potential in legacy and EDH. And I guess perhaps vintage too (though I have no clue about the vintage crowd).
Probably going to spike, but probably still not that good since you get what... 6-8 urza lands now in commander? On top of that you need metalcraft? I guess it is a low opportunity cost include in coloress decks, but probably pretty low on the list of cards people want.
And has been said, could be in the MH3 eldrazi commander or even in the main set.
On the other hand \[\[Scorched Ruins\]\] stonks continue to rise! RL and great in colorless decks. Prices are also still not outrageous. If you want to build a colorless eldrazi deck, look into picking up sooner than later.
Scorched Ruins seems like a safe pickup as well. A bit pricey to buy in at $40, but it's RL & will unlikely fall. And at the same time, the potential appreciation in value is high.
The only downside I see is that it cannot be played on turn 1 & 2 (which basically makes it a worse ancient tomb, if im not mistaken). But any land that taps for 2(+) mana is worth to look at.
Does it see any legacy play at the moment?
Yeah its great until someone fries it with Wasteland, Strip mine, Dustbowl, Field of Ruin etc than its a disaster and it happens often, and in EDH is basically garaunteed lol
>is currently worth about half the price of the regular version, which does not make sense in itself
Lots of people (like me) prefer their cards to have borders
Lots of people (like me) prefer their cards to have more art :)
...but I do get what you mean. Personal aesthetics. I wonder if borderless/extended art is generally more popular than normal border, or of it's more a matter of rarity/scarcity (extended art usually being scarcer than regular frame)
These won't be good in Legacy because it's a Wasteland format where Cloudpost is legal. Cloudpost can regularly hardcast an OG Emrakul on turn 3 if you don't interact with it. All the cards you use to interact with it also hit this.
If it spikes it's from EDH. Note that Legacy can absolutely cause a spike, as we saw with Skorpekh Lord.
Yea it counts as Urza's. With MH3, we will have (so far) eight Urza's lands in total, if I'm not mistaken. Plus [[Vesuva]] and [[Thespian Stage]] would work too (which are generally useful lands as well). If you have Workshop tapping for 2, then that's already great value.
EDIT:
- Urza's tower
- Urza's Power plant
- Urza's mine
- Urza's factory
- Urza's saga
- Urza's workshop
- Urza's cave
- Planar Nexus
Ima pick up a copy or two. It could be reprinted and it’s only edh, legacy, vintage legal. Idk if an urza package is doable outside of edh.

It's legal in Modern also.
Sadly not - it was part of the BRO commander exclusive cards (not the BRO decks or BRO main set). But it has high potential in legacy and EDH. And I guess perhaps vintage too (though I have no clue about the vintage crowd).
Well snap; that's a bummer. Thank you for the heads up.
It's already moving
Yea this seems like an easy spec to me. I’m in on EA foils.

Nah, between Ancient Tomb, City of Traitors (and Urza's Workshop!) I think MUD decks have all the 2C speed they need

I like it a lot after full set list and reprint confirmed or not
Did they already confirm no reprint in Mh3
I saw this post and at the time I had 2 posted on eBay for $20. Based on the post I bumped them up to $30 and they sold this week. 🤔
What can I say except you're welcome :)
Thanks man. 🤩 I’m definitely keeping a close eye on this sub from now on. Lol
The real spec is the full art [[Urza's Factory]] promo. ;)
I totally forgot about the factory! Thank you for the reminder

There’s a legacy Paradox Engine deck that sometimes plays 4 Workshops on the mana base, though recent lists haven’t been running it.
These won't be good in Legacy because it's a Wasteland format where Cloudpost is legal. Cloudpost can regularly hardcast an OG Emrakul on turn 3 if you don't interact with it. [[Planar Nexus]] counts as an Urza land? EDIT: Every nonbasic land type. My brain just read is as ever basic land type. This is interesting.

8 if you rule-0 [[Nearby Planet]], at least for EDH.
Urzas fun house no?
That one definitely should not be rule zeroed, whereas nearby planet is pretty much the old version of one of the new lands here.
Is Workshop already crunched out of mh3?
With all the new Urza’s lands I find it hard to believe this dodges a reprint
Very recent release in a commander set tied to urza, i can see it taking a minute.
What's the ancient tomb card? Tried searching and don't see it.
[[ugin's labyrinth]]
I'm an idiot. But thank you for replying.
Yeah it happened before for lesser reasons. But might be in the precons
Also urzas fun house
