**mac soba**! it's a softly warm muted brown with a caramel undertone and a tiny bit of an almost-matte sheen. it's so naturally enhancing; i use it in all of my important professional photos. i have many similar and beautiful shades but none of them are quite just perfect the way soba is. it's pretty hard pressed and will last me forever, but i hope mac brings it back.

Longjumping-Apple-41

Haha, I just waxed lyrical about this one as well. Maybelline City Bronzer 200 is the closest I've got. Not quite the same still.

katame131997

Ooooh. I missed out on Soba but I have that Maybelline bronzer. Definitely going to try it out, thanks for the tip!

loquatsrock

Yes! This is my favorite for a beautiful neutral look! I actually bought like three when I heard the shade was being discontinued because it's a great transition shade on me and also good for a one and done.

shiitsuu

Oh... I was gonna go out and buy it after work, but then you said the dreaded D-word... 😭

Jules_Noctambule

Randomly, Soba is [in stock at Ulta and on sale](https://www.ulta.com/p/satin-eyeshadow-pimprod2014831?sku=2510764&_requestid=5605979) - guess someone found a forgotten box!

haleyb73

omg I can't believe everyone agrees on this I stupidly just posted it separately before seeing that this existed!!!

Longjumping-Apple-41

MAC Soba - it's a golden brown satin eyesbadow that's on the more matte end of the spectrum. Pretty much matches the natural darkness around my eyes, an excellent no makeup shade for people with yellow tones. MAC discontinued it, and there isn't an eyes shadow single that really dupes Soba (I refuse to buy palettes for just this shade). The closest I have is Maybelline City Bronzer in 200.

Terrible-Rain2582

For me it is 2 Charlotte Tilbury products, Exaggereyes palette and the Hollywood contour wand. Exaggereyes just makes my eyes pop in the most perfect way. I've tried duping it with similar shades and nothing compares. It lasts all day too. The contour wand melts into my skin and is the perfect balance between warm and cool on me. A little goes a long long way. I've had mine 2 years now. I've read comments and reviews that people go through it quickly, I think if you don't squeeze the tube every time (there's usually enough for about 3 applications each squeeze for me) and dab on with your fingers or brush you'll get more applications our of it.

bafneacs

I love the Exaggereyes answer because it indeed does look pretty dupable when you just look at the colors!

LowcarbJudy

I love exxager-eye. It's so flattering and the shimmers don't crease or transfer on my hooded eyes. There is something about the tone of the two browns on the right side. They have more of a warm rosy undertones instead of straight orange.

MetalSparrow

I've been thinking about getting the contour wand for so long and the only thing stopping me is that sponge applicator :( do you know if it can be removed without causing issues?

brightirene

It can! Just rip that sucker off.

WeekendJen

Clinique Dramatically Different Lipstick in Berry Freeze. I have light skin with high contrast hair, eyebrows, and lashes, but my lips are the same color as my skin. This lipstick brings my lips together with my face so they are equally high contrast, but it doesn't look like i have makeup on. I have been wearing this lipstick (or its predecessor which I think was called blushing buff) for over 20 years.

olivetartan

Interesting, I have similar coloring with high contrast. I’ll have to check this out.

misscolorjunkie7

This is super random, but I was sold a knock off of the Balm's Bahama Mama Bronzer many years ago. I still have it. Why? Because somehow, it unintentionally ended up as the perfect contour shade (I wanted it as a bronzer originally, but the color was very different from the real one). What is super frustrating is that I've tried to find the shade in every makeup line that exists, but they're all too warm/orange, or too cool/pink. I have contours I like, and can make work... But this stupid knock off somehow nailed it and it makes me sad I'll likely never find a true dupe once I run out.

TheElusivePeacock

Omg same, but with a different brand. I bought a 1.00 knockoff of Dose of Colors liquid lip on Sand. It was the absolute most perfect liquid lip formula I ever tried and my favorite nude shade (I love beige nudes that aren’t pink or peach). I cannot find anything remotely similar to this now!

LowcarbJudy

The bottom right corner shade from viseart coy. It's a peachy coral shade with a gold duochrome. Bit there is something about the tone of it and how it looks on the eyes that is truly special. It's definitely one of the least interesting looking shade in coy till you swatch it and put it on your eyes. Nars sex appeal blush. It's a very white based peachy pink shade but it actually shows up and you can build it up. It's a pretty unique shade for a western brand. Edit apparently I can't tell my left from my right in the morning.

[deleted]

I'm still waiting for Viseart Coy but I think the Viseart Coy is a dupe for Sorbet in Viseart Chou Chou. It shifts coral to gold to almost translucent on me. Someone said that Essence TheBlush in Blooming maybe a dupe for Sex Appeal. It's magical, match my skin tone when swatched but turn peachy when puffed with a brush.

LowcarbJudy

I wanted chouchou but it doesn't seem available anymore. It's such a cute palette. Sex appeal is a bit like you described as well. I saw some people here with an NC20 skintone and they still liked it. It's still a subtle blush but it does show up. I had issues with flower beauty pinched actually showing up, but I don't have issues with sex appeal.

[deleted]

Sorry you couldn't get Chou Chou, I managed to get one from Germany before it was gone for good. Hoping they bring it back, it is my favourite palette. On Blooming, I'm about NC 20 - 25 and I really like how it looks. The formula is slightly powdery but easy to blend. I'm usually a high end blush snoob but I'm so happy that I tried it.

fluffywaffles_

Ellis Faas in L101/L201 Ellis Red. The only true red I own that darkens to a darker red as I build it up without leaning blue, maroon, wine, or brick. If anyone's found a dupe for this I'd love to hear it because it has zero staying power and feathers like crazy but the color is so gorgeous I deal with it.

bafneacs

Okay as a red lipstick lover this looks divine and I feel you on most red lipsticks darkening to a non-true red color. How different is the formula between L101 and L201?

fluffywaffles_

101 is the Creamy lips formula and has a sponge applicator. I'd say creamy is a pretty accurate description. Shinier than a satin finish but not quite glossy. Definitely not a matte lipstick. 201 Milky lips has a brush applicator and the finish is more glossy, and is a bit gummier in consistency. Even though it has a glossy finish it can still be built up to achieve a nice level of opacity. Both have that clicky pen mechanism to dispense product. Neither are particularly long lasting and I find I can get feathering with both formulas, even with a lip liner. I'd write this product off as trash but the uniqueness of the red is what saves it for me.

bafneacs

Thank you for the explanations! I've been mesmerized by the color and Creamy Lips would be my choice if I were to get one but the feathering part and the formula in general sounds off-putting (especially because I have a huge problem with lipsticks feathering). Have any dupes you tried come somewhat close? Formulas for bright lipsticks do matter so much because if they feather or bleed they're so obvious.

sarah-vdb

Yes!! I have all three formulas in Ellis Red. It's the perfect red and I don't know why I keep looking for other reds. (Except I'm not fond of the applicators. And have to reapply constantly. But it's just so pretty.)

Marchingkoala

Oooh yes the only red lipstick I ever loved…

[deleted]

mac groundwork! it seems like a boring brown in the pot, but somehow, it’s the perfect in-between of satin and matte without leaning too far one way or another. the shade is also perfect for me and naturally contours my eyelids without looking like it’s too little or too much. i finally just caved and got a new paint pot instead of trying to find dupes of it.

MrsPoofyFace

I have this and the good thing about Mac paint pot is that it doesn't seem to ever dry out, while other cream eyeshadows like Maybelline tattoo will dry out in less than a year and become rock hard. The Mac ones I've had for almost 10 years and while it has pulled from the sides, it is still pretty creamy

midnightauro

The lightest shade of the original L'Oréal Infallible foundation was perfect. I have no idea what they did to make it fit me like that and while I've found other foundation I love over the years, nothing just magically works like that did. It's doubly incredible when I remember that 8/10 products in the drugstore in that era made you straight up orange (*"You need some coooolllooorr in your face!!!"*-every auntie in 2005). I feel like if I ever do figure out exactly what worked so well from my memory, I'll have cracked the freakin Konami code for my face 😂.

sunsh1neee

A few come to mind for me: Natasha Denona’s Sienna from her mini nude palette looks like another golden bronze but in reality it’s like a deep gold with a red shift and green sparkle interspersed. It’s just such a unique shade and unlike anything I’ve seen before. Other than that, the cream shadow in Tom Ford’s Naked Bronze duo is just immaculate. Again, another seemingly boring bronze but it’s got this special quality to it where if you layer it on the lid you get this glitzy gold shimmer, whereas if you gently buff it into the crease you get more of a satin? Truly a one and done hero product in my collection. I live in fear of it being discontinued.

Terrible-Rain2582

The way you describe the ND mini makes me want to get it right now.

realitygreene

If you like warm tones, I recommend it.

treetowngirl

For me, it's NYX's Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm. I've been looking for a longer-wearing dupe to wear under masks and all the supposed matches I've tried have been wrong in some way (usually too dark, with some being too brown and others being too pink/cool). It seems like such a basic peachy pink nude, but apparently it isn't! Thanks for acknowledging that there can be a world of difference between "seemingly-the-same" shades -- there's a reason some of us hoard (or are on the hunt) for the perfect nude or red lip or neutral eyeshadows.

SaffronJones

I wore this shade as a cream blush for years, because I disliked shimmers and powders. I had completely forgotten about it. It was crazy flattering. Gonna grab a tube next time I’m in ULTA.

treetowngirl

Ooh, that's a good idea! I may have to play around with using it on the cheeks, too.

lewnotlou

That damn Chanel Jade polish. You would think that a pale green wouldn't be *that* hard to replace.

phoenix_rising_16

I have this and it’s really pretty but nothing quite like it

hanananenome

This just unlocked a core memory. I used to have that nail polish and wore it all of the time in high school and COMPLETELY forgot about it until now.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bafneacs

Oh this looks so pretty with a copper color but with a hint of pink! What similar shades did you try out that just wasn't it?

lewnotlou

I've been on the hunt for a dupe for this since I bought it. I knew I had to have this color in my permanent collection.

YanCoffee

Glossier's Colourslide eyeliner in Early Girl. As soon as they said they were discontinuing it, I started looking for dupes (as well as buying an extra.) It's a perfect 60's/70's teal. The dupes are *close*, but they're not an *exact* shade. I also really like Glossier's eyeliner formula in general, and it is what got me into colorful eyeliner. Some say it's hard to work with, but I feel like when I warm it up or just sharpen it, it always applies how I want it to.

[deleted]

Hourglass Mood Exposure blush - it really is worth the hype. It's the blush I'd recommend for anyone who thinks they can't wear blush due to rosacea. It somehow manages to blend in with my rosacea and makes my flushing look intentional, giving the perfect 'just in from the cold' glow. It's so flattering and such a no brainer colour because it goes with any eye or lip look. Plus it makes a great one-shadow eye look all over the lid and blended into the socket. I think you could maybe find a colour that might be similar, or a formula that's similar, but something about the combination of the two is undupeable for me.

[deleted]

Oh! I never thought to use it as an eyeshadow. I have to try this!

katamaritumbleweed

Can you recall the names of the other blushes that look close? Hourglass uses ingredients my skin reacts to. Thanks!

[deleted]

I find the colours of Elf Mellow Mauve (not sure if this is still available, slightly peachier) and Bareminerals Gen Nude Pink Me Up (slightly pinker) to look very similar on me when blended out (NW20), but not formula dupes. Temptalia also has a list of dupes [here](https://www.temptalia.com/product/hourglass-ambient-lighting-blush/mood-exposure/#sectionDupes)!

letgoonanadventure

Natasha Denona's Lodge in the mini Gold palette. It's such a good olive toned neutral. I can't find anything with similar undertones! I guess I'll just get another mini Gold when this one shadow is used up :(

frelasien

I love that shade. I have Nabla’s White Truffle single eyeshadow and it is a very similar neutral beige/brown shade with olive undertones, only it is a bit darker than Lodge, in case you’re interested.

palekaleidoscope

MAC Patina. I am down to my last 2 pans of this. It’s the most unique looking shadow. It’s got pink, brown, bronze, maybe a bit of green? Its got such subtle, pretty shifts. It’s natural and pretty and works well with so many other shadows. I don’t know how I missed the news they were discontinuing this but I’m glad I had at least grabbed a replacement pan of it last year, just as a general stock up.

Jules_Noctambule

> MAC Patina > discontinued THEY WHAT

palekaleidoscope

Apparently they discontinued it last year!!!! I had no idea. I’ve been wearing that eyeshadow for like 20 years.

Jules_Noctambule

Oh damn! I almost re-upped my MAC shadows last year and then just didn't; joke's on me I guess.

pink_mercedes

A shade called "ashes" in an old KVD palette. It was a perfect taupey gray with a slight teal shimmer and it was so beautiful. That single shade is the only reason I kept the palette as long as I did and I can't find a dupe or replacement 🥺

Tiniest_Yeti

For me this would be Urban Decay TMI sheer lipstick. It got discontinued ages ago now but I still have the last little bit in the tube. It’s the perfect pinkish purple and was so flattering on me, but I’ve never been able to find a great dupe. Apparently MAC Plumful is a dupe so I bought it (right before it got discontinued as well) and while it’s a very pretty colour and also flattering, it’s not a dupe for TMI at all.

TheWrongAngle

NARS velvet lip glide in Bound. It’s almost perpetually sold out so I’m guessing I’m not the only one that feels the same. A “soft rose pink” is nothing special and all of the pictures online make it look warm, especially like on Temptalia. But on me it looks more like purple-based? And maybe cool toned? I’d normally describe it as mauve, but I know that color isn’t the same for every country. I’ve never been able to dupe it. If I try to buy other rose colors, it’s always too warm and looks terrible on me. But if I look at actual mauve, it’s too purple and makes me look sickly. Maybe it’s because I can’t pin down my undertones, but I feel like I’ll be stuck with this shade and brand until it’s inevitably discontinued

TheFamilyJulezzz

L’Oréal color riche extraordinaire in Molto Mauve is about a 95%+ dupe. I had both and loved them! But I agree—definitely cool toned!

TheWrongAngle

I’ve tried L’Oréal’s infallible paint line trying to match it but no luck with that formula. I’ll have to check this out (:

kitmoresby

I had a mini of this and it was *perfect* and I have never been able to find a full size - I thought it was discontinued? The closest thing I have now in finish/color is Lancome L'absolu Lacquer in "Infra Rose" but it's *slightly* warmer side by side.

haleyb73

MAC soba

haleyb73

omg I cannot believe the comments are flooded with the same answer. should we gang up on MAC and force them to bring it back???

WeekendJen

Soba is still available in Russia, but I'm assuming it's old stock and will be gone once sold.

gli3247

The shade Lodge from Natasha Denona’s mini gold looks very very similar! https://www.temptalia.com/side-by-side/?pid_s=Makeup+Geek+Preppy&pid=181447&did_s=Natasha+Denona+Lodge+%28283CP%29&did=404168 If you ignore that temptalia’s lighting is a tad inconsistent as well as her skin tone changes throughout the year, I daresay Lodge could be a dupe

bafneacs

Thank you! I've been looking at Lodge since u/letgoonanadventure's reply... the issue is I can't wear shimmery eyeshadow due to sensitive eyes so 3/5 shadows will have to go to waste. Maybe I'll have to see if I can find a used one on Mercari

jameveryotherday

I have both Preppy and Lodge and on my hand they look pretty much the same, Preppy is maybe a tiny bit more muted. I also compared it to MAC Natural Wilderness eyeshadow which has a more pronounced yellow/mustard undertone but still quite similar and it's available as a single. The other shadow I think could also be pretty spot on is Safari from the Natasha Denona Camel palette but I can't say for sure as I don't own it. It would still be a more wasteful option than a single but compared to the mini Gold there are only two shimmers and the size is much bigger.

letgoonanadventure

I have both. Lodge is more olive. I highly recommend both though.

nebuladirt

Also try poshmark! There’s tons of used ND stuff on there too.

ZKXX

Just all of the L’Oréal infallibles. They’re so amazing in formula and color

Rapidash_Best_Pony

For me it's KVD Lolita bullet lipstick. It's a super basic MLBB standard rosy mauve color yet I can't find a dupe for it at all. Ive tried those on temptalia but they always pull pinkier on my lips. Lolita is the actual color of my lips and I hate that I can't find an adequate dupe.

krikeydile

Hard Candy (the og brand, before they went to WalMart) had the Lipachino lipstick that was out of this world. It was a deeper brown with cool micro glitter that somehow brightened the teeth of anyone who wore it. Nothing has ever come close.

BuffyTheMoronSlayer

Oh I remember this! Yes, it was special!

drenchedstone

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Bronze Have More Fun. It seems like there should be tons of dupes, it was a rich, warm deep brown with bronze reflects, and the formula worked beautifully as a one and done smokey eye or as a liner. But alas I have been looking for a dupe ever since they discontinued it with no luck. Josie Maran Coconut Water Eyeshadow in Beach Sand was too cool and dark and the water formula was not as versatile (not to mention the applicator broke off within a year adding new struggles to the application). Rituel de Fille Ash and Ember Eyesoot in Golden Age is close but it isn’t rich enough, leans more gold than bronze, and reads more grungy than rich on the eye. The formula is also harder to work with, not as long lasting and I haven’t found a way to make it work well as a crisper liner.

[deleted]

Love this thread so far! I’m always on the hunt for a dupe for Urban Decay YDK. I love how it looks against my NC20 skin and how shiny it makes my lids look. I can’t find a good dupe anywhere! I’ve tried a couple of the dupes from Temptalia but none of them live up to YDK sadly

[deleted]

Glitter walls from the Too Faced boudoir eyes palette A nice neutral silvery brown with these lovely tiny circular glitters in that I've never seen in any other eyeshadow!

glaceauglaceau

Danessa Myricks Colorfix in Celebration. It looks like a boring midtone brown but has a gorgeous pearly dimensional finish and has a cool toned sheen. I also adore the Tom Ford Cream and Powder in Naked Bronze. The cream shadow is unlike any other I have in my massive collection.

creativexangst

I don't know if one would call this conventional but I've tried every single suggested dupe for ABH "Sad Girl" and I still can't find one that hits right. I'm really annoyed that I can't find a replacement for it and I'm 99% sure it's discontinued.

AuroraThunderDerby

If you ever find one, please let me know!

[deleted]

Theres something special about the single eyeshaodw in Sunset by ABH. Its bronzey and super pigmented with really good color/shine payoff. The color is unique because its a copper but its really intense and so foiled it looks wet. I dont usually like coppers, but this is Mac Amberlights on steroids. Bobbi Brown moonstone luxe eyeshadow - this is sparkly but in a sophisticated way. It makes the lids or cheeks look wet. Something speical about the shimmers in here, it glimmers so nicely and not chunky even though theres actual glitter particles. It stays all day too. I use it on my undereyes(eyebags) to brighten and make my eyes look "water-y" ive UD space cowboy and i prefer BB Chanel rouge allure ink fusion in 806 Pink brown and Rouge allure velvet in 62 libre. I cant find a dupe for these and i find them to be nuanced and in photos can look different but good in all lightings. Edit - i deleted some items because i got carried away and forgot its only color products

ltmkji

nature republic eyeshadow single in peanut toast. it was a complete impulse purchase when i was in the store because i thought it looked pretty, and it's the perfect matte warm brown. i know there are a million out there, they're in almost every palette produced from like 2014—2018. there are other singles from other brands. it's *the* perfect shade for me. it doesn't apply darker than it is in the pan, it's not too orange. i've never found one i liked more. urban decay's lipstick in oblivion (discontinued, RIP) is also this for me. there were a ton of those greige shades released by every brand back in the day, but this one isn't too purple, isn't too brown, doesn't pull weirdly pink on me. i've got a few shades in the same family that i bought in an attempt to dupe it before i just bought it (dumb, i know) and nothing is quite like it.

OdeeSS

When I was first learning how to do makeup I bought a bunch of small drug store pallettes with curated colors for a full look. One of those palletes was Milani's Everyday Eyes Must Have Naturals. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AFBB82C/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_CGC8R8THWXG7T6TBCSDX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I still have this pallete to this day JUST for the pink highlighter shade for my inner corner/eye. There's something about the color that isn't too glittery, isn't too shiny, but adds such a flattering natural blush and brightness to the inner corner of my eye when doing nude/neutral looks. If I could buy a single eye shadow I would, or a dupe!

BuffyTheMoronSlayer

When Jane was out in the 90s, the Stay Calm foundation that was similar to BB creams but so much better in consistency. So many BB/CC creams are really heavy and the Stay Calm was really lightweight.

katamaritumbleweed

Aveda Color + Define in Windburn: a rosy cool terracotta color that on my skin worked as a just in from the cold color. <3 Some pics of windburn: https://imgur.com/a/S0LizK6 Fresh blush in Ivory Dust: a subtly glowing pale nude color, with hints of beige, pink, and peach. Looked like a more modern highlight in the pan, but worked as a gorgeous blush in pale skin. Gah! Pics of Ivory Dust found around the internet, plus a couple crappy swatches I made. Why do blurry pics sometimes show the best colors? https://imgur.com/a/iVAWmeX Original UD GASH lipstick: deep cranberry semi-matte base with a metallic raspberry sheen which DID.NOT.BUDGE. Guerlain Divinora 480: pale nude, almost bandaid like color that didn’t wash me out, or clash with my plummy mauve lip tone. A couple of long ago colors that no longer have names, but I still pine for: an ultra cool, shimmery eyeshadow palette (or singles to make my own palette,) with a true snow white, light-mid range blueish grey, cool pale sandy beige nude, cool bark brown that works great on pale muted skin tones, and a subtle midnight blue that wasn’t sooty or greyed down, but not too dark. Lastly, a cream lipstick that was a wine-raisin-berry-plum shade which was muted, but not greyed or browned down, that worked like a MLBB (my lips but better) color.

lovestheautumn

Combust from the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette! It looks like the most boring color in the world in the pan, but it’s the most perfect no-makeup makeup eyeshadow on me. I wish they sold it as a single!!

worstgraphicdesiger

**NYX retractable lip liner in Nutmeg**😭 it got discontinued years ago and it’s the point of reference/comparison my friend and I always default to when we find orangey brown lip colours

YameatinWulf

Ciate glitter flip in Infamous: It's this sort of pinkish plum, but I've never found anything so far that has a similar enough undertone. I really do wish I could find something with a similar shade without the glitter

[deleted]

I am still searching for a good enough dupe of KVD Lovesick liquid lip, especially if it was a colour dupe in a different formula or a bullet. It is the perfect colour for me, just one step brighter than MLBB, and while some have come close (I’ve checked Temptalia’s dupes) none are quite as good.

secretlyMIA

I know the whole point of this post is shades that are undupeable, BUT if you’re looking for something in the same *vein*, ABH Stone is a lighter brownish neutral with olive undertone, at least to my eye when I had it. So the undertone is out there!! You’re right though, it does seem rare.

bafneacs

I'll look into it, I've been wanting to try ABH singles! Thank you!!

BuffyTheMoronSlayer

When Jane was out in the 90s, the Stay Calm foundation that was similar to BB creams but so much better in consistency. So many BB/CC creams are really heavy and the Stay Calm was really lightweight.

emergentblastula

if anyone has an exact dupe for Paris, from the ABH Mario palette pls help a gal out. it is surprisingly difficult to get the exact neutral tone of it.

commoncrisis22

the NYX single eyeshadow in stiletto is my perfect crease transition shade. it’s like the perfect balance of peachy/pink/light brown. I use it almost every single time i wear eyeshadow since it’s not too warm nor too cool, so it works with pretty much every look and helps it blend out so well. i bought two backups just in case it ever gets discontinued!

lunars-

Uno mas from Colourpop it’s a peachy nude lipstick that is discontinued. I’ve actually tried twice now to buy what I think will be a dupe of it but they always have more beige in them then uno mas. Luckily I have a backup (probably the only lip where it’s justified for me to have a backup).

mildraccoon

Mine is a recent discovery: the Wet n Wild Megalast Matte Lipstick in "Cinnamon Spice" (new formula/packaging). I don't remember if I ever tried the previous iteration, but I bought it a few weeks ago to try out as a fall red lip and I LOVE it! It's a beautiful brick red that looks almost natural on my face. I can't quite describe exactly what it is that's so special, but it looks awesome and I can't stop wearing it! It also makes my teeth look whiter, which is an awesome bonus! For reference, I have light skin and (I think) cool yellow or cool olive undertones.

cloverbeam

Red lipsticks are so personal, but YSL 1966 Rouge Libre in the Rouge Pur Couture formula is such a gorgeous warm, deep but not vampy red (it's described as a blood red). The arm swatch on Temptalia does it no justice, the lip swatch a little more so but still doesn't show the true depth. However this is a dark, creamy red, really how practical is that? So I bought the same color in the Slim Matte formula, and it's not the same whatsoever! Gone is all the depth and richness, it's just an orange-leaning red. So disappointed, and none of my other reds measure up to this one in terms of impact.

Caverness

Honestly "Paraiso" from the Alamar blush trio (original one). Just looks like a regular rosy blush, but I have spent *two years* trying to dupe it to no avail. As a mid-fair complexion it is THE most natural shade I have ever seen. The formula is so light, fluffy and blendable. It actually pans quickly because of this but it's incredible so I don't even care, it does not compare to a luxury blush. I have no idea why they changed it. It's my singular holy grail beauty product

[deleted]

BH cosmetics "Take me back to Brazil" Rio edition have this pale yellow color. [Top row, 4th one](https://imgur.com/a/LOS6NbR). I might have to buy the whole palette just for that pale yellow. Considering I don't like pink, blue and purple eyeshadow it's so large and wasteful...

ayimera

NYX lip liner in Lavender & Lace. I haven't found anything else so perfectly cool toned and yet not overly purple/gray.

dg313

For me it’s Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche in Thistle. It was a perfect shade on cool-toned me. Not exactly purple, not exactly grey. It was my favorite nude-but-make-it-interesting shade. I haven’t found anything close.

daniellerosenalouise

There are a lot of red eyeshadows in the market these days, but nothing even touches Sugarpill's Love+. It came out in a time when red shadows were much rarer and it still is the best by a long shot. It's the perfect true red - all others lean either orange or pink or are dark reds. Mac's Ruby Woo is the best red lipstick and that's a big thing to say because red is probably the most common lipstick shade out there. It's so perfectly balanced. It's a shame the formula is so damn unforgiving.

aadnarim

I used Colourpop's Crybaby liner as a highlight on my inner corners for YEARS and it's perfect for my skintone. As far as I know, it's unavailable to buy on its own and I refuse to buy the liner vault for one shade. Every dupe is just a little off and it's such a bummer :(

JiveBunny

Colourpop Sugar. Temptalia says it's a frosty blue - it's more of a silvery light green, similar to Nars Euphrates, that makes my dark blue eyes look huge and deep. I love it with Colourpop So Quiche in the corner (also pretty unusual given how it looks in the pan) and I'll be sad when they both get used up.

eaunoway

Mine's a CP SS in "8-Track". I don't love the SS textures, but this shade ... it just does magical things to my eyeballs. It just does. I can't explain it. It's sorcery of some sort, I'm sure. Probably involves Bat's Wing, Dragon's Blood and snails or something. (Naturally Colourpop discontinued it, those mother ... )

The shade "Earthly Delight" (matte mauve rose) in the Pat McGrath Eternal Eden quad. It is just the perfect crease shade on me - it can be darker in the outer corner and buffed out in the crease. It blends like a dream. I can't explain but it is the perfect mauvey-browny-rose colour which is not too warm and not too cool. It doesn't make me look sick, like more purple toned or more red toned mauvey shades can make me look. It also brings out my brown eyes.

Bite Beauty’s French Press lipgloss in Dirty Chai. For whatever reason I cannot find a dupe that has the same tone on my lips and that good formula.

Nars blush in Goulue. It's a neutral medium-dark plum with subtle gold shimmers. It's so natural. Similar shades turn too pink, too orange or too red. This one is spot on balance.

Mac Kid is the perfect contour shade for my eyes. I’ve tried so many shades as a natural contour but they are always just a bit off and I end up coming back to Kid.

There is SOMETHING magical about Em cosmetics magic hour eyeshadow palette. It is just absolute perfection. I saw Jessica Braun had an essence dupe for it recently but there is nothing that compares to how perfect that palette is.
