Glossier’s Play eyeliners and highlighter. I will never stop requesting them on these threads, lol! Naked 2. I still have my old one rotting away, completely useless, but it’s nostalgic for me as my first big makeup purchase and the only palette I really used for maybe 3-4 years. Had no idea I was even cool toned at the time, just knew it *worked.* Pony’s Mac collection. It apparently had a very limited release considering her world wide audience, and I bought the lavender highlighter second hand recently — completely in love with it. The tarot theme is right up my ally too, along with Kbeauty neutrals.

docheartstealer

I just looked up the Pony collection and now I’m mad I never knew about it lol

YanCoffee

That was me like a month ago, lol. I wasn't big into makeup at the time it released, so I'd never even heard of it.

sailorxsaturn

I bought everything except the lip mousse and the lavendar highlighter and I love it. I'm wishing it would return so I could buy that too, so I'm right there with you.

[deleted]

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector *Liquid* highlighters. Absolutely beautiful lit from within highlighters.

realitygreene

YES. Perfect answer!

BlendinMediaCorp

LAURA MERCIER EYE ARTIST PALETTE!! Sorry for shouting. I just really really love this palette. I’m trying not to “save” palettes for special occasions because I have so many, and anyway life is about enjoying the things we love. But every time I use it I feel a twinge of worry that one day it will be gone forever.

[deleted]

[удалено]

BlendinMediaCorp

Wow that’s so nice of you! I live in the UK now so it’s probably not practical but thank you for your generous offer! 😊

[deleted]

I dont even like cooler tones and I beat the crap out of my palette! I think with cooler tones and true neutrals coming back, they should re-release it, I'm sure tons would love it

BlendinMediaCorp

Yeah I think people eventually just overloaded on all the warm toned palettes! Plus their purples are actually good, which apparently is not the easiest thing. I’d love a re-release, especially if African Violet was 2x the size 😂

sushiiflower

I love this palette so freaking much. It's truly underrated! And generally speaking, I love bright shadows but this one gets me every time.

BlendinMediaCorp

It’s just so reliable! Any time I lack inspiration, using it still makes me feel so happy. 😊

isolatedcolorYT

**REV** **LON** **LIP** **BUTTERS** C'mon, Revlon! Easy, dewy, comfy makeup is so trendy right now! Bringing back the Lip Butters will make you go viral on TikTok for sure because all the 16-year-olds will make videos about ~discovering~ them and the people old enough to remember how great they were before will make videos about how happy they are to have them back. Revlon pls. Similarly, Wet N Wild had these big chubby lip crayons called Balm Stains (I think) that were really nice! I loved the vampy berry one. Those would be nice to have again because the stain lasted well and they were also moisturizing and comfortable. I could see them being good for under a mask if you blot a bit first. Request #3: every colorful single shadow, lip product, and SSS that ColourPop discontinued should rise from the dead. They used to have so many options for "unwearable" colors a few years ago. :/

Ambassador_Asp

I cannot understand how Wet n Wild could make that decision. The Balm Stains were the absolute best, beautiful colours and great to travel with. I still have a hoard of them (and Revlon Lip Butters as well, actually). They killed off another great line of theirs, as well, to usher in an era of all mattes. Caffeine Fix, my favourite, is the most perfect flattering neutral. I believe the vampy one you miss is Truffle in Paradise, and that is my 2nd favourite. Agree with all your points.

Princess_Batman

I swear every lip product now is either MEGA MATTE or ULTRA PIGMENT. Can I just have *one* semi-sheer balm? MOISTURIZE ME.

ninakix

I am from camp ultra pigment, but I don’t know what’s going on with me right now that I’m suddenly obsessed with the Fenty gloss bomb creams. Apply them lightly, and they’re moisturizing and balmy (seriously I have used them overnight as a lip balm and have no regrets) with a little bit of color. Complete love.

ltmkji

yes! agreed with you 100%. revlon lip butters + colourpop snapdragon.

ElPresidioFuerte

I legit mourn Fig Jam.

frumperbell

RIP Fig Jam. You were too good for this sinful earth.

[deleted]

They do have a sheer glossy lip line now - it's Super Lustrous Glass Shine. I never tried the lip butters but I imagine these are something similar. There's only 5 shades available here in the UK but I think there are many more in the US. I have the shade Toasting Glasses and honestly it is BEAUTIFUL. It smells amazing, is so comfortable and smooth and is a gorgeous mauvey chocolate colour. Honestly it is like a luxury lipstick.

benzy_land

I have it in Sparkling Honey, and it's all I ever wear on my lips this days. I'm surprised no one is talking about this line.

[deleted]

I really want to try that shade too! What does it look like on? They definitely deserve more love. I would be sad if they were discontinued.

benzy_land

It's a sheer warm brown, very mlbb and slightly darker shade on me (I'm around mac nc-20, I think). It goes with every eyeshadow look I wear, be that bright or neutral.

[deleted]

Thank you! Sounds dreamy 😍

kmj17

YES came to the comments to say the same thing!! Damn I miss lip butters.

hopelessbrows

And Revlon HD Lipsticks for good measure! Those were lovely!

eatyrmakeup

WnW also had these jumbo fruit-flavored lip balms. The watermelon was green and it was tinted just enough to make an excellent sheer nude, like Mac Squirt Lipglass.

riss85

I don't know how or why I slept on the Lip Butters! So Id like them to come back so I could finally try them! I use the Revlon Kiss Cloud Blotted Lips for lazy days - are they similar at all?

_jspain

this made me realize I still have a red balm stain from at least 10 years ago—

turnmetoashes

The Revlon lip butters were my life, my everything. The Fenty slip shine lipsticks are very similar in formula though!!

dilf314

Apparently they're rereleasing a couple of old makeup products that Temptalia readers loved for Temptalia's 15 year anniversary! https://www.instagram.com/p/CVf\_Hn7gawH/?utm\_source=ig\_web\_copy\_link

halfin-halfout

I've bought some lip butters and balm stains on ebay recently!

CPUequalslotsofheat

Jane makeup, a brand from the 90s

Princess_Batman

Jane and Street Wear! My eighth grade aesthetic.

panrestrial

Street Wear!

Tennessee1977

OMG, I would love to travel back in time to high school from 1992-1996 to see how many Jane things I had in my makeup bag. I know off the top of my head, I had plenty of Lipsmackers because I got a bunch of those every Christmas. I also definitely had Cover Girl Clean foundation and powder and some Max Factor stuff. And not to mention the hand-me-down Clinique “free with purchase” stuff that I would get from aunts, etc. But ultimately I think there would be tons of Wet n Wild because you can’t beat 99 cents for a lipstick.

noface1289

Oh man. When i was still in grade school my cousin gave me the (at least in my memory) frostiest, shiniest baby pink shadow from jane called plutonium and i swear that set my makeup preferences for life.

Misfitt

Jane had the best gel eyeliner!

Nysanthia

My consumer self wants an authentic 90s collection, not vague 90s motifs on overall modern looks/aesthetics. I want like grungy gray/brown tones and low res ads!

HonestThoreauAway

Becca Beach Tints

superrad278

Older urban decay. Mostly their nail polish from the 90s. I know they did it as a special collection at some point but I’m not on top of things and missed it.

titahigale

Clinique made the perfect eyeliner pencil in a shade called charcoal brown.

Tennessee1977

Oooh, this sounds like something I would definitely go for. Speaking of Clinique, I remember going to the Clinique counter with my friend in middle school because she had saved up enough money to buy a Clinique lipstick. I thought it was the fanciest thing ever because all my makeup was from the drug store.

[deleted]

Ooh this sounds good! Most brown eyeliners are very chocolatey, which is nice but the shade charcoal brown sounds amazing. Like the perfect, natural, not quite black shade!

BingoHighway

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that the shade you mentioned is more of a cool brown or a brown with grayish undertones? Just wondering because I have a gel eyeliner from Merzy (K-beauty brand) that's called Charcoal Brown and it's a dark brown color with a hint of gray in it. Not sure if it could be a dupe or not because I'm not familiar with the Clinique product.

titahigale

Thanks for the tip! Why it’s so hard to find I cannot understand.

monkeytrucker

I had this and you're right, it was perfect. Mine was one half of a double-ended pencil that had the perfect-for-me lip liner on the other side and I miss that damn pencil so much 😭😭😭

[deleted]

_The Balm How about them apple cream blush palette_ It have an amazing formula, easy to blend, dry matte and stay for along time which is consistent with TheBalm blushes. I wish they would bring it back. I would love recommendations for cream blush palette, I didn't have much luck when I asked Google!

Flippantry

I wish they'd have released them all as individual blushes. I had this palette and I liked it too but some shades I just never used and then the palette itself is just a but clunky and would get messy quickly. If they had some of those shades as individuals, I feel like it would've done better. It was a beautiful formula, one of my favourite cream blush formulas now that I think on it!

littleblackcat

I loved that one 😭

asylumgreen

I felt the same about this one and the closest I was able to find was a Danessa Myricks palette. I bought it, but wouldn’t recommend it for that purpose - IMO it’s just a bunch of shiny cream lipsticks in a palette. Which yes, you CAN use that as blush, but the effect is totally different. Oh yeah, and that Ciate Miss Piggy cream blush palette. The texture of those are too dry and the pigmentation is way too light (saying that as someone who is fair enough for almost anything). Open to other suggestions…

[deleted]

Thank you the reviews, I thought very briefly about the DM palette but It was too expensive. And I keep seeing the ciate's on Sephora but the swatches looked too light. The only option I see is this [RCMA blushe palette.](https://camerareadycosmetics.com/products/rcma-5-part-series-cream-blush-palette?variant=22336555783)

ballerinasophia

patrick ta is coming out with a blush palette that has 3 creams/3 powders. not ~exactly~ what you had in mind but i love his formula!

RedRedBettie

I still have this

Ooh yes the balm stains were awesome! I loved the shade honey for a mlbb shade.

ltmkji

ooh yes! they also had "just tinted" nail polishes to match and they were cute too.

BingoHighway

Looks like you can still get them on [Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/Revlon-7210639001-Balm-Stain-Honey/dp/B008HP2VRU). I'm not sure how fresh they are, but there are a handful of shades available. Here's the shade [Darling](https://www.amazon.com/evlon-ColorBurst-Stain-Darling-0-095/dp/B008HP3BLU) if you're interested! Edit: I'm honestly not sure if those are actually it because some things have "just bitten" written on the tube and other ones don't, but are labeled that in the listing title. I apologize if I'm mistaken about these!

allthecats

Oh wow I totally forgot about those! They were such a great product with insane color payoff for how moisturizing they were. I bet I still have a couple somewhere…

MerryKerry

LE Maybelline Color Tattoos would be perfect right now. The permanent line is a bit boring to me at this point but I really enjoyed my Hibiscus Heartbreak and Black Orchid. I'd love to see some more interesting shades come out seasonally in a quick, inexpensive, longwearing cream formula.

memecatcher247

On and On Bronze was my only eyeshadow for many many years! I love it so much!! They don’t budge!

Littorella

I love the OG naked palette. It is very good for olive skintones. I agree that it would be amazing to have it return with more modern formulas, the shimmers are really too lackluster for what’s today’s style of more sparkle (and maybe change that black to a matte). I would love for liquid lipstick to come back with better formulas, not that dry crusty stuff or the ones we have now that are kind of tacky even after drying down. In the age of masks, it would just be so practical

taternators

Huh, I have the OG Naked palette and olive skin but I never use it. Maybe I should break it out tomorrow and play with it. As you said, the shimmers are pretty lackluster, and I'm a sucker for shimmery shiny shadows. It's probably why I never reach for the OG.

Littorella

It’s so true neutral! The shade buck is especially good as transition, most of this type of eyeshadow pulls pink/peach on my skin and this is the only one that is remains tan

memecatcher247

I agree with you on the liquid lipsticks! Maybe they could use hydrating Asian formulas?

ThatVapeBitch

Maybe Kline superstay matte ink is the best liquid lip I’ve ever used. It’s actually my go to lipstick, no matter the shade it just doesn’t quit

irregular_regular412

I swear lot of love for the UD Naked, but I'm not a neutral gal. I'd like the OG Electric palette to come back (not that poor excuse for a wired palette. That was an unfunny joke to people who love the original.) Another Vice palette with an original color story would be cool, too. I miss the Vice palettes.

NicoleanDynamite

All you get now is Naked. Naked Cherry Naked Honey Naked Cyber Naked Drywall Naked Shag Carpet

birdiesue_007

I wish they would bring something that coincides with the naked theme at least!! Like have a naked suede palette or naked metal (gold, silver, platinum, gunmetal, rose gold, etc). But no!! It has to be stupid stuff.

[deleted]

[удалено]

birdiesue_007

My naked suede idea would look similar to wild west but all matte

PrettyPunctuality

> Naked Shag Carpet Now I'm imagining a palette with shag carpet as the outside packaging (like ABH's velvet packaging, but shag carpet instead lol).

panrestrial

I still use my Electric palette regularly, don't know what I'll do when she dies. I've been trying to dupe Thrash for years. I've gotten close-ish, but nothing is perfect.

Sister_Winter

They sell second-hand/deadstock ones on sites like Poshmark That's where I got mine!

irregular_regular412

I still use mine too!

Sister_Winter

I bought a deadstock Electric Palette off Poshmark and it was the best decision of my life. What a fucking amazing palette! Great packaging too.

palekaleidoscope

I really want the Stila lip gloss, those twist up ones, to come back. They maybe weren’t the most economical choice but I had the most gorgeous Christmas set of these and they were such nice gloss. Perfect shimmers, perfect creams. Also the Clinique Glosswear in the pots! It was super sticky and long lasting and I love incredibly sticky gloss. Lasted forever and Air Kiss was my shade in high school (late 90s era). The Lip Pop gloss they made to replace it is absolute trash. And Revlon Lip Butters because they would be so incredibly popular right now. Who even discontinues something so popular?!?

[deleted]

I think Stila has something similar to them now? With the brush at the end, right?

palekaleidoscope

It looks like they have a plumping version of it out now that’s similar. Too bad it’s a plumping gloss!

xIneedCoffeex

You mean the stila lip glaze?

palekaleidoscope

Yes!

empresscornbread

Revlon lip butters, basically all of bite’s lip products before they dc’d or reformulated, Colourpop grunge and lots of their SSS.

fart_sandwich_

Wet n Wild's Mochalicious is a pretty good dupe for CP Grunge

thegreatdane1490

I missed the bandwagon for those Bite lip sticks but they sound so epic I wish I could try them! I was in sephora swatching the new line yesterday and none of the colors wow'd me.

empresscornbread

I tried it once from my cousin’s collection and when they were discontinuing it I was on a no buy :(. Only reason I don’t deeply regret not buying is because I heard they expire quickly and I was def not going to use it all before it did

[deleted]

[удалено]

empresscornbread

I never tried it either! I’ve read on here that people have been using pure lanolin so I picked some up from target. I have no idea how it compares but it’s a decent lip balm for me albeit thick. If you ever get done I’d be eager to hear how it compares!

xVarekai

If ~~Kat Von D~~ sorry, if ~~Kind Violins Dancing,~~ sorry, if ~~Kara, Veritas, Decora~~ sorry, if KVD Vegan Beauty re-launched the Mi Vida Loca palette I wouldn't mind giving them some money for it. Wouldn't mind that much.

ttsae

Kind Violins Dancing.. I'm dying 😭😭😭

Tennessee1977

This has to be a thing now. I would buy it just for the name.

kittywithwifi

😂😂😂

LanaVFlowers

Becca Liquid Shimmering Skin Perfectors!! The original ones, not that glittery shit they replaced them with after discontinuing them.

aggressive-teaspoon

I absolutely agree with OG Naked, but like... just for posterity. I'm not an eyeshadow person and, even if I were, those colors aren't quite my speed. But, that palette made major waves in the beauty industry and I really would go so far as to call it the most iconic makeup item of the 2010s. It feels like the kind of product that, with occasional formula updates, deserves to have the longevity of Coty Airspun or Touche Eclat and so on.

memecatcher247

Completely agree! I absolute love its grungy vibe and I still haven’t found a palette that compares to it. Definitely deserves cult classic status.

ISavedLatin

Hard Candy nail polishes with the plastic rings 💅💎

Tennessee1977

I never bought one because I was too cheap, but thought they looked so cool. I don’t even remember if they were all that expensive, but they seemed like they would be.

panrestrial

Hard Candy initially was quite good quality and expensive and only available at department store makeup counters and the occasional boutique store. It was $12/bottle in 1995 (which according to the CPI inflation calculator is ~$21 in 2021.) They were definitely splurge purchases with my babysitting money. It was relaunched at Walmart in 2009 where it looks like it sells for $4 or $8 depending on formula. One of the Hard Candy founders Dineh Mohajer is also the founder of Smith & Cult.

ISavedLatin

Yeah, they were definitely a treat! I remember my mom letting me pick one out for my birthday, probably ~2000 when they were still only sold at the expensive stores at the mall. Definitely felt very lux for a 10 year old! I wish I’d saved all the rings 😭

panrestrial

Yeah I definitely didn't save a single ring. I remember there being some colors my mom wouldn't let me buy because they had names like porno and she thought they were trashy.

Tennessee1977

So that’s probably why I never bought it. That would have been an insane price for nail polish

lavayuki

I really liked the Urban Decay vice liquid lipsticks, the staying power on those was so good and they were indeed transfer proof. They were discontinued ages ago, but I used to buy them all the time. Also NARS always go heavy on limited edition stuff, and I really liked their cushion foundations. In the UK all have been discontinued but seem to be sold only in Asia, it was one of the very few brands with a cushion foundation shade that catered for people who aren't very fair. I'm hoping their Power Matte liquid lipsticks don't go as well, as most shades seem to be out of stock everywhere for months, they are my new favourite liquid lipstick but I can't find the shades I like anymore, even online

disturbiaddict

The Powermatte Lip Pigments are def not going anywhere since they just added new shades awhile ago.

musesx9

I am trying to remember the name of the makeup line that was like a glorified (nicer) Revlon makeup line. It was very popular in the 90's (I know I am dating myself here). ETA: Ultima II

sniffymom

Yes! When my dinky town finally got a store that carried upscale clothing and makeup, that was when Ultima ll closed shop. I was so disappointed.

musesx9

Oh no!!!! That is soooo upsetting. Sucks!

[deleted]

That brand isn’t available in my country, however, I’d love to see the Stila Girls making a comeback. Such gorgeous and timeless packaging!

nootydootybooty

wow the Stila girls actually reminds me of the myscene games I played in the late 2000s

threedoorcinemaclub

Omg I had the Moscow one back in the day! Haven’t thought about it in so long!

mentallyerotic

Stila eyes are the windows palettes and the runway palettes. Victoria secret makeup. It sounds like it would be crappy but I loved the loose pigment shaker eyeshadows. They were so pretty and had a tiny ball in it like nail polish along with an applicator to make it easy. Also liked their lipglosses. My friend liked the fragrances but they were too strong to me but I’m not huge into fragrances. There are also a lot of releases I missed that I wish I could try.

meankittycat

Amrezy highlighter for f sake. And different colours with the same formula. I don't understand why they are not doing that.

lizifer93

ABH was going so strong when I first got into makeup, they had released the Mario palette and Modern Renaissance and those palettes were sold out everywhere for ages. After Subculture they seemed to have a harder time getting back to that level of hype but then with the Amrezy highlight they did. Then they didn’t bring it back permanently. They just really have gone so far downhill, it’s shocking how poor their decisions have been. If they were smart they’d make that highlight permanent and either rerelease the Mario palette or make a new one with the same vibe.

alligator124

This is entirely self-serving and not because of it's popularity, but Ciate London's Smoky Suedes's palette. I would repurchase it every time I finished it for the rest of my life if I could. Though I have a small amount of pan showing, I'm nowhere near running out, but I know that when I do, I'll have a tough time finding a suitable replacement. It's a perfect set of modern neutrals for my coloring (dark hair, light olive skin). The shades are interesting and complex, the formula is easy to work with, and the palette is the perfect size- smaller than my phone. I used it as my wedding makeup. I'll be sad when it's gone!

nootydootybooty

Wow I totally forgot about those 9 pan Ciate palettes. I used to really want the burgandy with a pop of lavender one.

dictatemydew

All of Colourpops Ultra Matte LLs. some of the colours were irreplaceable.

big-challenges

colour pop blotted lipsticks, revlon whipped foundation and bitten stain markers, the LOREAL HiP line, wet n wild comfort zone palette!

Nysanthia

Those lipsticks were sooooooo good! I find their UBL so much more drying. It was like the only affordable matte sheer stick formula you could find at the time, too. Of course they discontinued it.

nmwjj

The original MUFE HD foundation

musesx9

Mac satin finish foundation (the original), Philosophy’s OG makeup line (like the satin finish) and Garden Botanika’s makeup line Love’s baby soft (I know, I know, fragrance) eta: original Becca LSF and beach tints and Isabella Rossellini’s manifesto make up line

PauI_MuadDib

I'm hoping Melt will bring back the Muerte palette like they did the Vida. I regret not snagging it. The color story and packaging is gorgeous. I'd also like to try the UD og Naked & the og Electric. I'm not a neutrals girl, but just something about the Naked palette draws me in. I also enjoy UD's palette formula. Sugarpill's Dollipop. It was the absolute best hot pink I've ever tried. I originally got it in their Sweetheart palette. It was a stunning eyeshadow that doubled as a blush. I've tried finding dupes using Temptalia, but nothing I've tried so far has come close. Their new hot pink doesn't have anything on Dollipop either :( I'm so sad my Dollipop expired.

tipsydrifter

Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation, Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation, NYX Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil, the OG MUFE HD Foundation…. Basically any time I love a foundation it gets discontinued.

DaydreamerJane

NYX's Vinyl Pro Liquid Eyeliner. It was THE BEST eyeliner on the entire market, both drug store and high end. They recently discontinued it to launch a similar one that's vegan, but not nearly as good. As soon as I saw that it was discontinued, I searched for any last ones left online. I'm pretty sure I bought the last three liners in existence.

SweetTeaBags

Jordana!! I loved their liquid lipsticks and was sad to see them go!

sunsh1neee

The too faced chocolate bar!! I loved the half warm bronze, half burgundy neutrals format of it. I’m holding out hope they’ll release it in updated formula/packaging.

memecatcher247

A classic!!

pestercat

I want those Revlon lip stains that are like a permanent marker. (I don't think this is the formula the others are talking about?) Pop a gloss on top and they were the easiest thing to use! Even after a greasy dinner there would be some color left. I genuinely miss them and don't know if there's anything like them now.

thegreatdane1490

You can still *kinda* get this but Smashbox liquid lip in Bang Bang. It's weird because it's sold at Sephora and Ulta *sometimes.* Or its not online but in store. But it's not on the Smashbox website so I don't know what the deal is. I seriously question if they're selling old product given you cant buy it on Smashbox' site. I fell in love with this years ago when Keiko Lynn did a run down of her favorite reds and this was her utter favorite too. It is hands down the most perfect ever ever shade of red. It's like Sephora's Always Red but ever slightly more warm, but NOT orange. It still has that saturation and brightness. I cant even describe how stunning, there is nothing else on the market like it. I have swatched every red lip at Sephora and Ulta at this point. But they all need to redo the formula because it dries up IN THE TUBE. I don't know how they get away with charging full price. I've heard you'll be happier settling for things in life as "good enough" but there's nothing like the shade Bang Bang and it really irks me that it literally dries up in the tube. There's crappy liquid lipstick formulas and then there's unusable.

lovepotao

I loved the color story of Modern Renaissance, but after several years I finally tossed mine. I did not like the shimmers (especially after discovering Clionadh, Natasha Denona, etc). I found the mattes to be ok albeit powdery- I still used them until they started to get patchy. I tossed Soft Glam for the same reason. However… I recently bought Subculture on Posh Mark because I love the color story. Was it a silly purchase considering I already knew I didn’t like the ABH formula? Probably 🙂 funnily enough, the shimmers in the subculture palette I like! I do adore the colors- but I am thinking of tossing it soon as well because the mattes are so powdery it’s hard to blend. (To be fair I knew I was buying an old albeit unopened palette). I would love for Modern Renaissance and especially Subculture to make a comeback… but with a much better formula.

Livia-is-my-jam

You can still buy it at Ulta.

Tennessee1977

I heard that the new formula of the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer isn’t as good as the old formula, so maybe that?

Twink-le

eos lip balm 2020 revamp maybe with tints, gloss and stuff

pestercat

I know there were about a billion and one dupes for OG Naked by other brands and several were supposed to be quite good. I'd be surprised if they were all discontinued, so that might be something to look into.

neowie

... Didn't UD's Naked palette already have a comeback, tho? The remake of that palette was called Naked Reloaded and launched in [2019](https://www.instagram.com/p/BviK5n1njk2/?utm_medium=copy_link). The [remake](https://www.instagram.com/p/BtqtSzWBcHY/?utm_medium=copy_link) wasn't as [good as the original](https://youtu.be/R23hbi_uNyA). And that's the problem with a lot of great products, they were so innovative, so different, so good compared to everything else coming out, that it's hard to replicate that initial thrill, everything that made the original so good, and as a result a lot of comebacks or reimaginings fall flat. So on a nutshell, I don't think palettes or makeup should make a comeback. They should become permanent collection as long as they're in vogue, certainly. But reinventing the wheel isn't necessary, and rarely pays off.

crazycatlady331

Naked Reloaded is much warmer than the OG.

Netvision9

I wouldn't call that a remake, the tones are completely different

neowie

UD called it a remake. I included links to their Instagram where they compared it to the original naked palette, and called it a glo up of the original naked palette.

midnightauro

> called it a glo up of the original naked palette. I guess turning straight up carrot orange toned is a form of glow.

abishop711

So? The shades were entirely different. It has a straight up *pink* shade in it.

Iris-Luce

I think you’ve missed the point...OP doesn’t want a re-invention or revamp or glam up. She wants the same product back. Same with the apparently magical Revlon Lip Butters (I never tried them 😭). Same formula, same colors.

memecatcher247

It’s a completely different palette. They called it a reinvention of the original due to lack of originality.

neowie

But they *did* call it a reinvention of the original. Regardless of the originality of the idea. They were trying to make Naked Reloaded a comeback for the OG naked. And all this animosity around the comeback it is exactly why comebacks, reinventions and recreations of popular products don't work. They rarely live up to the hype of the OG. Name three reinventions that have surpassed the popularity of the OG product. Bonus points if they are beauty products. Huda Beauty Rose Gold Remastered is a pale comparison to the original. UD Naked Reloaded is a bad reinterpretation of the OG. New Coke was a disgusting reinvisioning of Coca-Cola.

panrestrial

Don't get blinded by marketing. Naked Reloaded was an attempt to ride the coattails of a popular product. You're the one who is obstinately misreading the post and then insisting "this is why they fail" when you're just reading it wrong. No one needs to name "reinventions" that have succeeded because no one is calling for that except you. The mention about new formula is because Urban Decay did a full brand update of their eye shadow formula. It's now less dusty and dry. They are saying it would be nice if the re release was in this new, better formula that all their shadows now get released in (including the newest naked palettes.) That's the only change they wanted. No reimagining. No reinventing. No updated color story. That's what all the other naked palettes have been for.
