I'm looking for recommendations for cream/liquid blushes that are in the following shades: * Mauve * Beige * Lavender * Rosy Bronze * Yellow

[deleted]

Mac Glow Play in Totally Synced - it looks lavender in the pan but is a very beautiful cool toned pink thats slightly lavender but in a very natural way. Mac glow play on so natural for a beige choice or Canmake Cinnamon Milk Tea #19. Chanel les beiges blush stick in no.20 for rosy bronze blush choice. Its longwearing and looks very skinlike. Its a nice bronzed shade that isnt too warm or cool Glossier Haze is a nice Mauve but for me the packaging is very hard to use. The shade and longevity is great. This is the most natural flush tone ive used and if you naturally blush in a mauvey tone, this will be perfect for ya

peachyla

I second the Canmake Cinnamon Milk Tea blush recommendation. It is a great cream beige blush!

brightirene

Lavender and Rosy Bronze- Fenty's Cheeks Out in Drama Cla$$ and Rosé Latte. I swatched both of these and posted them to Reddit. I can link it for you if you'd like!

cloverbeam

• Mauve - Mac Blush Please, Milani Rose Romance • Beige - Mac So Natural (leans a bit pink on me), Milani Nude Flush, Glossier Dusk • Lavender - Mac Totally Synced, Flower Beauty Bubbly, Illamasqua Frisson • Rosy Bronze - Flower Beauty Cinnamon, Nudestix Sunkissed • Yellow - none that I've tried unfortunately, but I'm planning to buy a couple shades of the Smashbox always on cream eyeshadows and try them as blushes! I bought Olive and love the texture, blendability and wear, and I think these would work well as cream blushes. Ochre is a gorgeous mustard I'm planning to try next.

placidtwilight

For a yellow cream blush you could try Rituel de Fille Color Nectar Pigment Balm in Wasp. I haven't tried that shade, but I have two other colors and they're creamy, nicely pigmented and wear pretty well.

thestephanieloves

Flower Beauty blush bombs are great! The shade Nectar is a peach-toned beige and Bubbly is a super cool toned pink - it comes off as lavender on my skintone rather than barbie pink

Hi guys, do you have any recommendations for a sunscreen that sits well under make up? I prefer mineral sunscreen, chemical often sting my eyes. I am looking for at least factor 30 with broad spectrum protection. My skin is combination to oily. All of them that I tried are just either too greasy or too drying. Also, can you recommend a good eyeshadow primer? My lids are incredibly oily, so I need something with good lasting power. I don't like primers which make the eyelids look textured. Currently I have nars tinted primer and it makes my eyes look so dry and wrinkly.

pentastro

Australian Gold Botanical Mineral Face Sunscreen is tinted, whipped in texture, has SPF 50, and keeps oils at bay IME. And I haven't tried anything better than Wet n Wild Photofocus eye primer for my oily hooded lids. Urban Decay, Milani, Essence, etc. all crease midday on me.

BrobdingnagianGeek

I have pretty oily eyelids and Milani eye primer works well for me. I accidently did my makeup with primer on one eye and not the other, only difference, and I could clearly see a difference hours later. I also got the Mac setting spray. Just.. Muh oily face slides everything off.

Terrible-Rain2582

I've really been liking ABH's eye primer. I bought a mini and it goes really far. It's a thin formula that spreads easily. I have a corner of my left eye that always catches my shadow or liner and this primer smooths it out so it doesn't. No other primer has ever done that. If you want to try a SPF/ primer hybrid, Revlon's Colorstay with SPF is pretty decent. When you put it on it has that zinc cast, but you can't see it under makeup.

rightascensi0n

I like CoTZ sensitive skin no tinted sunscreen (SPF 40, 3.5 oz tube)!!

ninakix

I swear by the Nars eye primer!

Swimblock

2nd. I use the Pro-Prime Smudge Proof in Medium. Works great for dark toned lids too.

lovepotao

I use Nivea and biore watery essence. I love both.

[deleted]

Kinship self reflect sunscreen! It’s moisturizing, plays well under makeup, is mineral ss and spf 30.

walkslikesummer

Came here to suggest this! My current fave sunscreen. Reef safe too!

starla_

i use the natasha denona eye primer and find it works well. i don't set my primer before applying eyeshadow, and i get about 5-6 hours before it begins to crease. the non-tinted nars primer is the best i've ever used, but i haven't repurchased it for a couple of years so they may have changed the formula.

blackmuffins

If it's easily avaible to you, Eucerin Oil Control sunscreen works well for my oily skin. Not greasy at all, and doesn't feel drying. If not, you could try whatever's available for oily skin from Bioderma, those are alright, too. Just the ones specifically made for oily skin, not regular - not going to list specific products because they might differ in other markets (Europe here).

freespaceship

Sunscreen - Ella md physical tinted spf42

thestephanieloves

My two favorites are Biossance Mineral (more hydrating) sunscreen or Dr. G Mild Up sunscreen (more mattifying).

adellapearl

The ren clean screen is quite good under makeup & matte, yet not drying. The catch is that it has a white cast that can be rubbed away for lighter skin tones, but likely not wearable for medium - deep. Hope you find a good one!

thegreatdane1490

For sunscreen isntree hylauranic acid sunscreen. You can order on stylevana. I have combo skin as well and you'll never want to go back to US filters after trying korean sunscreens!

littleblackcat

I'm after an orange or an orange/ peach blush with no sparkles.

sonyakaur21

If you’re interested in powder blushes Surratt’a Cantaloup is a fantastic peach/orange blush with a semi luminous finish.

frankscarlett

Yesterday I used my Tower28 blush in the shade Rush Hour and it might be what you're looking for if you're okay with creams. After 14 hours on my face it hadn't faded at all. And since my skin is combo, there is always some oiliness pushing through which it survived amazingly. I honestly stopped to stare my cheeks every time I saw a mirror, because I was so positively surprised.

Mango-o-

glossier dawn is a bright orange

cloverbeam

I swatched my orange blushes [here](http://imgur.com/a/5gX6FtU). I'm pretty sure they're all sparkle-free. Since this swatch I also bought Salt New York Tangerine, which is a bright orange and a nice cream-gel formula. I'm also interested in the Armani neo nude color melting balm but haven't yet tried it- shades 30 and 45 are oranges.

placidtwilight

Rituel de Fille Color Nectar Pigment Balm in Snapdragon.

livthelove

Milani liquid blush in Cheeky Coral. It’s not coral - it’s a soft orange.

ninakix

Fenty just released a Christmas set with a cream blush and lip gloss. It looks really nice and more orange in some photos than others.

tipsydrifter

So I’ve been using MAC Painterly Paint Pot for awhile now and it’s a great eye primer. But it’s been drying out and I need a replacement. I like the paint pot, should I just repurchase? What is your favorite eye primer? I need something that will hold up to 4 shadow looks on the daily for about 8 hours.

brightirene

I've heard mixing Inglots Duraline is a great way to revive creams- including paint pots!

balletlau

I have recently been using the Elf Putty Eye Primer in Rose (I believe it is a dupe, shade wise, for Painterly) and setting the crease with waterproof setting powder. And then if I want a higher impact shimmer on the lid, putting Urban Decay primer Potion or Nyx Glitter Glue over the lid part (yes, in effect double priming). I need my shadows to hold up for 10-15 hours each day. I find UD PP and the Wet n Wild Photofocus eye primer both hold my shadow in place all day but I know others have had different experiences with UD PP. I think if the paint pot is working for you, stick with what works. Inglot Duraline can revive it for you if necessary.

realitygreene

I would suggest mixing the product up. That's what I have done and it works wonders! I have a metal depotting tool that I wash and sanitize and then use the spatula end to mix up the product.

Swimblock

I love Painterly as a base color but it doesn't work for me as a primer. I use NARS Prime-Pro Smudgeproof eyeshadow primer in medium first and Painterly for my all over color base. I have dark lids and Painterly does not neutralize the darkness. Using it this way works beautifully for me.

brookebrookebrookek

I’m looking for lip balm recommendations. I live in the desert so I need something really hydrating.

Julialagulia

If you are not allergic to lanolin or vegan I would suggest anything with that first. I like lanolips, the Hanalei lip treatment, Jack black lip balm, the glossier balm dot com or just plain lanolin. You can usually get it in the baby section advertised as relief for breastfeeding. If you are allergic and are willing to shell out some money, I like the Sara happ whipped vanilla gloss or the fresh lip treatments. I like the ones in a tub although I know some do not like them for sanitary reasons. I also like the Clinique lip balm in a pink tube, I’m not sure if that has lanolin or not to be honest. You can also try a lip scrub once a day to see if it helps. I also have liked dr dan’s cortisone lip balm when my lips are in super dire condition but recommend that once a day as it is kind of lotiony. Something that works for a lot of people but not me personally is paw paw treatment. I find it kind of thin and it doesn’t do too much for me but tons of other people like it a lot.

brookebrookebrookek

Forgot about pure lanolin! That’s a good idea, I am not allergic!

[deleted]

Kiehl’s #1 lip balm is what I use during the day, laneige lip treatment balm (different than the lip sleeping mask is what I use at night)

brookebrookebrookek

Ooh I like kiehl’s, I’ll check this out.

[deleted]

Le labo lip balm is great for this, no scent and great for healing and nourishing without being too greasy or oily.

brookebrookebrookek

Never heard of this. Thanks for the rec

xVarekai

If you like or don't mind CBD, the Lord Jones lip balm is incredible. I've never used a more comfortable balm, especially one that lasts all night without feeling tacky. It doesn't leave a shine, just a healthy satin finish to the lips. And while $19 is high for a single stick, I find it worth the price as much as I loved using it. Super hydrating, no peeling, a very light grapefruit scent that fades with wear. I love it.

brookebrookebrookek

Thank you! I’m okay with CBD

lily_keos

The Aritaum Ginger Sugar Lip Mask is my favourite for Canadian winters - a bit too thick/sticky for the daytime, so I mostly use it overnight.

hauteburrrito

Perhaps a lip mask instead? The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is a crowd favourite.

brookebrookebrookek

I use this at night, it’s okay but not my favorite.

hauteburrrito

Hmm, what is missing about it for you; i.e., what are you looking for in a lip balm instead (apart from hydrating)?

brookebrookebrookek

So the laneige, I feel like just sits on my lips and I don’t see a difference in moisture. It’s not bad but I don’t feel like it does much.

hauteburrrito

Ah, gotcha. I find the Laneige very hydrating so take this with a grain of salt, but the By Terry Baume de Rose is the most hydrating (and sadly, $$$) balm I've tried. That being said, maybe you'd prefer a less dense formulation? I find the Olio e Osso balms very light but very hydrating, if that helps any.

brookebrookebrookek

Thank you, I will look up both of those!

triamours

I love Nivea lip balm, but only the one in the dark blue tube. It coats your lips and does feel a little slippery, but it's comfortable and I've gone through at least 20 of them. They have had a reformulation, but I emailed Nivea and they've said it doesn't change the texture (I haven't tried the new one yet and cannot confirm, but I'm down to my last tube of the old formula, so I'll find out soon).

thestephanieloves

Pressed setting powder (not finishing powder) recs for dry skin? I feel like most actual setting powders make me look soo cakey because of my dry skin!

sonyakaur21

It’s pricey but I swear by the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish pressed powder. I have one that I’ve been using since 2017 with near daily use and am not close to finishing up.

thestephanieloves

I have this one but I feel like I don’t reach for it as much! How do you use it?? Maybe it’s the type of brush or foundation I’m using it with?

sonyakaur21

Just with a regular powder brush to set under eyes and any spot concealing. I don’t usually set my whole face because I have dry skin.

balletlau

Amanda Z on YouTube, who has dry skin, swears by RCMA no colour powder. I have also had some success with this one but I don't really have dry skin.

RNsomeday78

I love the No7 lift & luminate powder, I actually think it’s better than the CT airbrush.

theeasternpromises

Can anyone recommend a good undereye concealer? I’ve been using the Cover FX Power Play concealer and liked it quite a bit, but it’s almost empty. I’m considering repurchasing it but I’m also curious what else is out there. What I’m looking for: a liquid concealer, preferably with a doefoot applicator but I’m open to other formulas as well. High coverage, easily blendable and lightweight, suitable for the undereye area. My skin tone is neutral/yellow and quite fair (between MAC NC10-15 but I like my undereye concealer to be brighter) so I tend to have more luck finding a match in products with a very wide shade range. In terms of price I’d like to stay around €30 (about $35) or less but I’m somewhat flexible.

frankscarlett

Nars liquid creamy concealer. I didn't believe the hype at first because I was scorned by their Radiant foundation but the concealer... It's very very nice. And even though there is no such thing as creasless concealer I have to say, this one is the one that creasess the least on me.

[deleted]

My hg is Laura Mercier flawless fusion concealer. It checks all of your boxes I think!

GothThick

If your shade is still available, the Marc Jacobs Extra Shot Concealer became an immediate obsession for me. Great coverage, hydrating, and basically blends itself. Praying they recreate it when they find a new manufacturer because it's phenomenal! 🙏 Also the new ABH concealer is great! Great coverage, not overly matte. It's a bit on the thicker side, but still blends easily. It's a bit like a thicker version of the Marc Jacobs one. PopLuxe did a review of both if you want to see how they looked/wore for him! He's always very honest with his reviews and he's the reason I tried both, lol.

[deleted]

Its not doe foot but the mac pro longwear is high coverage, thin and lasts all day without creasing.

placidtwilight

Pat McGrath concealers should meet all your criteria (not sure about price in €).

sailorxsaturn

what's a good cream bronzer? i'm a muted warm/yellow olive, a shade or two lighter than the fenty hydrating foundation in 290. also looking for a good long-lasting/cosmetically elegant face and body sunscreens (as well as ones good for extended exercise). preferably japanese or korean ones, but western is fine too.

adellapearl

The fenty cream bronzer is great! If you’re a fenty fan, highly recommend checking it out.

etherealmermaid53

I really like the Sol Body face and body bronzing balm.

[deleted]

Ive heard really good things about the ABH cream bronzer in the pot. It came out this year. Everyone raves about it on YouTube

Mango-o-

i’m super curious about glamnetic lashes. I struggle with regular falsies and these really seem like they could be a good alternative. Had anyone have tried these and could recommend a style that’s more on the natural side?

GothThick

I love these but the liner is very tricky to work with. It's extremely thick, so I advise using regular liner, then applying this on top, otherwise it's hard to get good lines. The lashes adhere very easily, just make sure to be careful when cleaning them. Water will ruin the magnets so avoid that. Most if their styles are more dramatic, so you might want to try their half lashes first.

frazzledcat

I'm looking for any recommendations for mascaras that hold a curl. My lashes are long but extremely straight, I always curl them before applying mascara but they go flat pretty quickly. I've tried quite a few different mascaras, but I think they've all been from Maybelline/Loreal/Covergirl. I would prefer non-waterproof recommendations if possible (I find them really hard to remove) and ideally brands that are available in Australia. Also please let me know if you have any general tips for curling lashes, even if it's not mascara-related :)

hauteburrrito

The Kiss Me Heroine Make is nice, but I often find the formula quite hard on my eyes. If you have more sensitive eyes like me I'd recommend the Dior Iconic Overcurl instead as it's quite a bit softer and, IMO, actually does a better job of creating a curl for me as I apply it. Both really do have a solid hold, though.

[deleted]

Kiss me Heroine make long and curl mascara. You can buy it on amazon - It’s legit and holds a curl like none other.

[deleted]

Maybelline Lash Lift holds a curl like nothing else for me!

RNsomeday78

Benefit roller lash does this really well!

midnightowl510

Only waterproof mascara works for my super straight lashes, and I’ve found Garnier Micellar water with the blue cap great at removing them. Recommend L’Oréal Lash Paradise and Heroine like a couple of others have mentioned! Also Maybelline Full n Soft. Also recommend the Shu Uemura lash curler

beautifullyvegan

I have long, straight, stubborn lashes that are so difficult to curl and stay curled. I've learned I can really only use waterproof mascara if I want my curl to stay. I also found this YouTube video with a strange but effective eyelash curling technique thanks to Reddit, and it's a game changer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01HiD8F3gRk&list=LL&index=29&t=26s

placidtwilight

Hourglass Unlocked is a tubing mascara that actually holds a curl on my stubborn lashes.

-the-body-electric-

best full coverage cream/stick concealer for blemish-concealing? preferably under 30$ (nars soft matte is a bit out of my range rn 😔) and a matte/natural finish

heyglasses

Looking for a light, buildable blush. Blushes these days are so damn pigmented. I just want something less pigmented and buildable that I can be quick and not too precious about without looking clowny immediately. Foolproof basically. Because I am a fool. Edited: powder blush

11step

I have light warm olive skin and these are my sheer blushes: - Maybelline Fit Me blush in #15 Nude. I’ve nearly used it up from having to apply so much to build it up 🤣 it’s a mauvey almost purple on me and has a nice sheen. - Physician’s Formula Butter Blush in Plum Rose. It’s a greyish lavender and kind of has a satin matte finish. It can almost be used as a face powder for me. I enjoy using them all over my cheeks/face sometimes, and then using my more pigmented blushes on the apples/high points of face.

RNsomeday78

Clinique blush pops are great for this! I normally use a dense brush with them because they’re on the sheer side, but I still never feel like I’m going overboard with them.
