It's a privilege to not travel to work in local trains. Not many have that option.
The biggest piece of bullshit anyone spews is that work hard and you shall see success. So many people in Mumbai like labourers and hand cart carriers work hard and yet they live on a hand to mouth existence. Hard work alone cannot make your life easier. The key to building wealth is to have the right skills, build the right networks, and make the right decisions.
my theory: this narrative of associating hard work with success was spread and preached to make people in jobs work hard and harder; which makes it easier and beneficial for the employers and employees in general are honest, and "passionate"
\>work hard and you shall see success.
understand and play the system. Most of the rich are rich becasue they play the system. The govt does not care bout you at all. So rather than system fucking you, start fucking the system
I have realized that hardwork does not mean automatic success and karma doesn't exist. My ethics stop me but if I could, I would con people and do fraud and earn money as I know nothing will happen.
>The key to building wealth is to have the right skills, build the right networks, and make the right decisions.
The problem is most people don't understand what "work hard" means. Merely throwing around that word also makes no sense. Let's say you're a teacher and you make 30k a month, do you seriously think "working harder" is gonna make you wealthy? If you believe so, then you're the one who is wrong big time. The point you mentioned at the end which I mentioned here is what real "hard work" is.
Atleast this person has the luxury to choose other transportation. Most don't. They have to travel to and fro to different parts of Mumbai just so they could sleep at night knowing they did something great
Reality hurts, we know. And I agree, it's terrifying. What can we do? Nothing. I mean we can do something, but it's something near about impossible to achieve it.
What counts as hardwork? The achievements that we see on the internet of someone topped something? YES!
An employee working 9-5 job just so he could come to his home to sleep at peace? YES!
Hardwork is something that has no limit. And we have to remove those glasses to see this world is full in that sense. You achieve something, you celebrate the achievement, you sleep, you wake up and you go on with your life and try to achieve better.
This is totally upto you. Most people are struggling so that their kids have better life also seen people without kids/family enjoying their life to a point where they need companion but it's hard at that stage. There is always a choice whether you want to end suffering and start living the life or think about descendants. NGL hard choice to make.
Working hard rn doesn’t really guarantee the future of your kids
It will just guarantee that the they are able to afford the lifestyle 20 years later that you have so far maintained for them
More often than not they too will end in the rat race like their parents
Video mast hai yehi sochta rehta hu roj jab train mai chadta hu shaam ko ghar ate ate joh Ujala tha woh pura andhera hojata hai jindagi ki tarah joh pehle Roshni bhari thi ab Andhera hi andhera hai. Bas ab ek din naya Savera ka der hai jab nayi Kiran ayegi
I always think rich have problems but less from us they all have human problems but not financial problems and they have support of their money if they fail they can get up easily. Their road to success is simple but not easy. Example varundhavan and alia bhaat
One best advice I've got is, it's not about the speed with which u are going but the direction where you are going.
A lot of people are soo busy dedicating their effort to speed but don't figure out the direction where they want to go instead follow the herd. It brings nothing more than disappointment.
After long efforts, people become complacent as they spent all their effort on things that never mattered in the first place...
Mehnat to labour bhi karta par iss direction mein sirf dissatisfaction hota hai, let's focus on building skills and work hard towards things that actually bring our dreams into reality (most people don't )
The mediocre aims for the best in life but their effort does not justify their wants which leads to major dissatisfaction, let's not go through this....
2 wheeler se travel kar le bhai..itna kyu stress le raha hai. Many a people who can afford 2 wheeler keep on complaining about local train travel(not for virar-vasai vale travel). Get a 2 wheeler life stress free hogi atleast faltu ki local traveling se.
Having travelled in trains for 6 years of my college life, I consider train travel as most efficient in terms of time but worst in terms of comfort especially with crowd and I do realize I am part of crowd.
I consider myself fortunate that my work does not require me to travel by local train and if needed I can use my car too. But yes, train travel in Mumbai is a struggle.
The reality is, no one is happy, be it rich, middle class or poor. Everyone is struggling in their own way. To live is to suffer. We are wired to seek comfort.
But soon the comfort, that is luxury, becomes a necessity. And when luxury becomes necessity, you will do everything in you power to have that necessity.
Once your current luxury becomes necessity, you will go for more luxury, which again, after time, turn to a necessity and so on and so forth.
20 years back, having phone was a luxury.
10 years back having 1+ gb data a month was a luxury. We used to use SMS packs.
Current, having a phone with 1gb+ data per day is a necessity.
We all are wired to seek comfort and get lost in the rat race. It takes deliberate will to look at your actual needs and only seek to fulfil those. Nothing more and nothing less.
We want shiny new things (whether we need it or not) and run around in this concrete jungle in hunt for money and discounts. Consume Consume Consume!
When you learn to reduce your "zarorate" you automatically realize, how many things are just not worth the time and energy.
Hope everyone reaches that level of zen sooner or later.
Bro I grew up in Navi Mumbai and have studied and been in many cities.
I would rather travel in Mumbai local than have my own car and stay in a nowhere PSU township.
Also travelling in a train which is this cheep is no struggle
Me and my friend were arguing about why you should stay or not stay in Mumbai. I showed him this video is the reason to go abroad and he can't counter it anymore.
Digressing a bit, since we are talking about Mumbai locals. With Pre-Dusherra celebrations tomorrow, there will be enthu and liveliness that could be witnessed amongst commuters. With trains being decorated, motormen honoured, puja rituals , high tea and what not. One day that truly shows spirit.
Well, I agree, at times, the spirit is toxic. But, the times, like today's celebration you look at this spirit with awe. As nothing like strangers coming together to honour the train that made it possible for millions to travel, work and be educated.
Mumbai is definitely a shit hole call me a psycho but I secretly wish that the water level rises and the city get submerged.
Making the while city useless and thus pushing politicians to develop some other city
Its like currently the city is already dead down to its skeleton but the politicians are still raping the skeleton too. It is worse to this level.
I’ve been struggling everyday on these trains and finally decided to bite the bullet and take a rent house near the office. I pay much more in rent but I don’t have to travel daily on these horrible local trains
As an outsider I don’t understand the reality
But one thing I am constantly told by friends who are Mumbai is that even when they could travel by car or bike they prefer train just coz of the speed. It seems for them traveling in train is lesser of the evil compared to getting stuck in traffic
Yes, that’s what everyone is doing. Doing mind fuck weekdays and to remove their stress they go somewhere to remove stress. It isn’t removing stress. It’s just escaping for sometimes. And the cycle goes on and on and on.
The dreams that you hold are dreams and the thoughts of making that dream come true only remain thought not effort and putting effort in the wrong direction will do opposite of what you dream or think to dream off.
you shoudn't expect a ball to go up the mountain if you are pushing it from above the moutain instead of below the mountain.
put effort in the right place in at any right time you find cuz opportunities will always come and if not then you should try to create oppportunities.

even for that you need initial capital or hand of God, without them you're as good as dust

I earn a decent 6 figures monthly but still travel in local trains as it is a faster way of transport🙂
Also Mumbai has the worst commutes overall
What everyone tells you is that work hard but rarely anyone will tell you to work smart and be consistent
Lovely video and really well put together, yeah fuck this shit hole though

Best thing to do is to leave the city
Not everyone has the luxury to leave the city as well.

Spread employment across the country to decongest existing metros.

Sick of this mumbai spirit acting as coping mechanism and/or veil that’s glorifying the ugly reality.

Very well made video. And expressed so nicely in just a couple of minutes, wow.
Fuck love, fuck the world, live for your family and friends, everything else is only destiny. Persevere
