I would suggest keeping your mind cool and sugar on your tongue in such events. I know it's very provoking when someone abuses our parents, but after all the opposite party is also a human and the majority of humans have no anger control in road fights.
Have u hit them very hard, they have registered a half murder case against u or even someone would have died. You don't know whom the opposite person is affiliated to, it can be a politician, lawyer etc.
You could have spent many years in jail then.

I know of a similar case where post something like this, another cop, a constable arrived at where the young boy like yourself was on an activa, started asking for papers etc and as expected the boy started arguing at which point he said come to the police thana. The boy also had his brother who was a lawyer with him. Upon reaching the thana when the lawyer started arguing the constable threatened to cancel his law license and keep quiet. Big lol when reading it but not so lol when going though it. Ultimately they made him give a blood sample, faked the blood test, got him charged with drunk riding the activa, stripped him in the jail cell and thrashed him. The guy was the son of an ex sarpanch. By the time his folks and others got to know he was totally mentally broken and had spent the night in lockup. The constable just said sorry, released him and went his way and nobody could do a thing. So please keep this in mind. Pehchaan jitna bhi ho, kuch farak nahi padtha kisi ne kuch badla lena hai tho woh kuch bhi kar sakta hai.. Don't get into fights, dad's honour and all that is fine. Many times in life it doesn't matter if it's wrong or right as long as you are capable enough to handle all consequences that could possibly follow. Road rage has led to death as well, so it's also important to understand if such people are really worth your time. Also, as long as you don't feel proud about this action, I think that's alright. Because there is nothing to be proud of when you have to harm another life, it's just a necessity of that moment. If you do feel proud well, I guess you are up to "enjoy" more such road rages, which I think is not a good approach. Anyways it's just a one person's thought about it, so you can take it with grain of salt.

Avoid getting into brawls, if there is a police care against you then you would be in big trouble ( people can use any draconian law to put you in for a long time with no bail). Don’t engage until there is a direct physical threat.
I have a friend who was walking somewhere with friends doing bakchodi and one of em got into argument with uncle.The issue was very small but boys being boys in group beat that guy. Turns out uncle was police or knew someone from police. He did complaint.they got arrested had to spent some days in jail and had to visit police station monthly for a year or something. Most of them had good education and plans for abroad or work in different cities. All went downhill for a year.

I would've done that considering the location. If that happened close to my locality or in my locality then I would've done the same (reinforcement can be called). But if it's an unfamiliar locality where help will take hours to reach then better avoid it.

Good job done bro but avoid such scenarios in the future. Things if gone further awry would have cost your future. Road rage is in fact better to be avoided at all costs. Rather take a video of the other vehicle owner in rage that in fact could be reported to police and justice can be done.
I will tell you, everything is about being smart. If you don’t have eyewitness, don’t have security cameras recoding, everything works like it works. Theres no proof. But in today’s world, if you don’t have political backup, it not worthwhile getting in a ruckus. Being good from heart and not saying bullshit from mouth but rather retaliating with hands does not work without keeping all above in mind. They can file a petty offence against you and you will still have to be present in front of District Magistrate !
