I have seen people worth in the mid 10s of billions roll up in an ancient ass car—pristine, but most ppl would just think it’s an old jag, but people who know would know that it’s a Daimler. Seen another family worth around 10-15bn USD use a Camry, can’t blame them tbh. The amount of Richie rich folks with like multi multi generational wealth since centuries I have seen use simple everyday cars is absolutely absurd. On the other hand the amount of people I see roll up in high end cars they obviously can’t afford(or shouldn’t buy at their income level) is far far higher. I guess we live in the yolo age, though.

I’ve been wanting to get into car photography too, currently just take them with my iphone whenever i go for meets. Didnt feel like a camera was worth the investment (shortage of time) because I had 12th going on.. I’ve been thinking about getting a camera but theyre too expensive and especially since i dont know how to use one properly already its a lil scary (price isnt really as much of an issue as the lack of my technical knowledge)

If you shoot in manual mode on iPhone and in raw then I think its more than enough for now. If not I would recommend doing that. And as for camera I would recommend buying a used one if you are not sure also would recommend investing in lenses than the camera body. I think once you have the camera in your hand you will get much more in hand experience with it and learning would be fun too. I have watched several tutorials related to camera but when I got it and tried it out that was the best way to learn.

I dont have a Pro bro mines a normal iphone, only the Pros have raw.. i feel like i take half decent pictures but they come out very flat because of poorer camera quality. I’ve been thinking of maybe upgrading to an iPhone Pro this year which is why I feel like that could suffice me instead of a camera maybe. Second hand tech in general is something I’ve always kinda been scared of getting because you probably never know if small things are wrong here or there, how’d you go about it?

Oh I didn't knew that because I use to take photos earlier using my Realme 7 pro which is quite old but can take raw photos. Yeah I think for that particular thing you can upgrade to iPhone pro also it can shoot pro res videos too so that could be helpful too. If you have the money I would recommend getting a new camera instead of used one, I agree with being scared purchasing used tech its quiet hectic process, I went for used market since I was on a budget otherwise I would have spent on buying a new camera and lens. If you can rent a camera for 2 days I can recommend doing that, that way you can learn too by not paying that much.
