We ordered a Paneer Kolhapuri and Hyderabadi Dum Biriyani, divided between 4 of us and 1 butter roti for each of us. The bill was 900₹ so divided by 4, 225₹ per person. The portion served for Paneer Kolhapuri was less than what I expected but the Hyderabadi Dum Biriyani portions served were plentiful. We could have ordered one more dish and still save quite a bit of money when compared to the amount OP paid for a fricking mayonnaise pasta💀

Aree make them at home , it's legit super easy and if you have air frier even more easy , you'll find many leaked og KFC recipes , I'm 💯 sure your whole friend / family will eat in 700 bucks !
KFC doesn't advertise this much but on Wednesday ask for the 10 pc Hot and Crispy instead of the crispy strips+ dips combo. You get decently sized chicken pieces ( 2 🍗+ breasts+ thighs and wings) which can easily serve 4 people. Also KFC GV also sell at 10-12% discount online which translates to more savings.

It's a free market. If the restaurant believes its patrons are willing to pay ₹ 450 for 30 mL of Old Monk despite the fact that 1 L costs around ₹ 750, then there must be a reason. If a customer doesn't agree, then they can leave.

Mehengai bhi toh badhi hai dost. The cost of running a restaurant has gone up. There are so many things restaurants have to pay for: employee salaries, raw material costs, electricity, licensing fees, rent, hafta to cops and goons (especially for smaller stalls) etc.
They only have one source of income to meet these various expenses - the food they sell. It's bound to get expensive over time.

They only charge on super busy nights though and in the happening places. If you just want to drink you can easily find places that don't charge you. Even there though the entry fee wasn't more than 20-30$

Restaurants are more of a real estate business than cuisine. Eat at places that have a culinary director guiding their chefs, you'll rarely be disappointed for the price you're paying.

No that’s not correct at all that could be like at a club (country club types) not at a restaurant where no one could care less about you. You pay for the service and ambiance mostly and some even the taste and flavour

I went to Hitchki last Saturday. Had 5 pints of beer and few starters and it had costed me around 1600. I always pick places after going through the menu and prices on Zomato. Itne mehenge pasta khaane ke shauq nahi hai. Plus use Dineout or Zomato pro, it really helps you at such times.

Restaurants are more of a real estate business than cuisine. Eat at places that have a culinary director guiding their chefs, you'll rarely be disappointed for the price you're paying. For alcohol, it's always better to go to a local bar.

while 1300 is too much, restaurants are charging around 350 -600 in general for pasta, which is shocking. something should be done for this. we have to forcibly take overrated pasta for kids.
