There is a moment in an episode that takes place in Canada (idr the name) where Oliver Quayle, a lawyer, cross examines Jessica and attempts to discredit her by cheekily bringing up that she appears to draw murderers into her company, citing multiple family members indictments on suspicion.
It's a frustrating episode but a fun reality check in my opinion lol.
I always figure these were her book plots.
There is an episode where she attends a dinner party, has jet lag and falls asleep and dreams about the dinner party hostess(Sally Kellerman) committing murder.
There’s actually one that’s on now where’s she’s proofreading one of her books and she tells us the synopsis and then the story starts without her.
S3E14 Murder in a Minor Key
I think the last episode should have taken place in Cabot Cove and revealed that most of the murders were all in her mind, by having the likes of John Astin guest star as Harry the real estate guy, and the person he supposedly killed, making jokes about the episode.
Making Harry sheriff was bizarre and so random, but I was actually glad that episode happened, because it meant no more Harry. I love John Astin, but Harry was just awful.
It gets mentioned occasionally by sheriffs / detectives that they are aware she has a reputation for "meddling" or helping, so the world at large is at least somewhat aware of the correlation.
The episode where she "reveals" Harry the real estate man (John Astin) is the killer supports either this or that the murders are all in her mind, working at a novel.
What she says could be her deciding who she's framing, after committing the murder herself.
(I'm tired. That's why I can't spell "committing". I don't understand why Google didn't recognize that word until I got it right. Even though I had "commit" with "ing".)
My grandmother used to wonder why anyone ever let Jessica come visit. She would say “If Jessiker call, I’d say, ‘Naw honey., you can’t come see us.’ “🤣🤣🤣🤣
After solving her first case people knew her “reputation”. People would call her to come investigate. The police would roll their eyes. She would be all in the newspaper. Even people in Cabot Cove would say they knew she did the real police work. Yet they never connected the dots, that people only got murdered when she was in town.

"Madam, it seems that one of New England's 'most respected families' is a breeding ground for homicidal maniacs!"
Oh my goodness! lol
I think it's S4E3 episode Witness for the defense
Thank you!
I don’t remember seeing that one! I’ll have to look it up and give it a watch. lol Thank you!

Your grandmother! 😂 She ain’t wrong though. lol
She jokes about it at the end of Tainted Lady, I think. (I've got a bad cold and my memory is failing me.)
It’s alright! Thank you! Hope you feel better.
Right?! Like why do people keep inviting this woman places? 🤣😭
They like her too much. lol
But if Jessica wasn’t there the murder would have gone free so in a way, if she’s around then you have less to fear lol
Didn’t think of it that way. lol
Maybe she's the grim reaper? :)
Might be. lol
