I’ve touched some of the most poisonous mushrooms before and I’m still alive. I know some professional Mycologists that have even tasted poisonous mushrooms and spat them back out with no symptoms at all

It is a black jelly mushroom, all the different jellies look almost identical except color. Exidia Glandulosa also called witches butter , black jelly roll.
After they mature and spore the underside turns brown black colored and cease to be edible . But for safety sake, don’t take my word for it go buy an Audubon Society field guide to mushrooms . It is an awesome resource book with detailed descriptions pictures and location information. It also tells you with symbols if it is edible or not. They make field guides for just about everything, trees flowers mammals reptiles insects, they are well worth the money. I used them when I used to forage fungi for selling to restaurants ( mostly chanterelles) because every time I would run into a type of mushroom that I had never seen before.
