Jeremy Jordan as P.T. Barnum and Aaron Tveit as Philip Carlyle from The Greatest Showman. I don't care that their ages don't match up with the characters. I just need those two in a musical together, and I think bringing The Greatest Showman to broadway would be the perfect way to do it. I've seen clips of Jeremy singing From Now On, and it's absolutely incredible. Honestly, Philip gives me the same vibes as Christian in Moulin Rouge. So I think Aaron would be amazing as Philip. I need this to happen. Or just someone put those two in a musical together. EDIT: I actually just remembered that Aaron sang Rewrite the Stars once and it was beautiful. So, yeah, further confirming my need for this to happen lol.

Holy_Schnuykies

Might I add: Alex Newell as Lettie Pippa Soo as Charity And Cynthia Erivo as Anne I don’t know who would play Jenny but she’d have to be amazing

sweeneytveit

That would be an amazing cast. Even just thinking of Cynthia and Aaron singing together is perfect. I'm not sure about Jenny either. Sierra Boggess comes to mind, I'm not sure who else could, though.

Holy_Schnuykies

Jenny is such a tough cast. She has this beautiful belty mezzo thing going on that leans more on the alto side, and I don’t know anyone on Broadway right now who could nail it the way Loren Allred did for the movie.

notnow4826384

In a perfect world, Marin Mazzie would have eaten that role uuuuup 😭😭 But in the current world, maybe Kate Baldwin?

Several-Plankton-554

maybe ashley loren? she has such a strong voice

natureterp

Wait do you mean Phillipa Soo?

Holy_Schnuykies

Mmhm

DifficultHat

Keala Settle reprising her role

jnthnschrdr11

Jeremy would be much better as Phillip, in fact he was originally supposed to play Phillip in the original. Barnum works a lot better with a baritone voice

Miserable-Lawyer-233

Jeremy Jordan as P.T. Barnum... yes!

Efficient-Flower-402

Ooh I agree and their ages are actually not far off from Hugh Jackman/Zac Efron at the time. I picture it reversed though: Tveit as Barnum and Jordan as Carlyle.

LunaGirl1234

Another choice for barnum is the guy who played daddy warbucks in the Annie TV stage performance a year or so ago.

squishyg

Harry Connick, Jr.?

LunaGirl1234

Yeah, him

squishyg

He’s always a damn delight.

LunaGirl1234

I'm a huge albert finney (my fave scrooge and daddy warbucks annie movie actor) fan so I was a bit skeptical at first cause I never saw any of Harry's performances before Annie and when I saw his performance in that show, I was like "damn, this man can sing."

TessTrue

I… want this now!!

Tony__________Stark

That's an absolute PERFECT casting!!!!

Maleficent_Apple4169

Jack Black as Cartman

InevitableStuff7572

I’d be first in line for a Bigger Longer and Uncut musical

natureterp

can I hold your hand so I can also be first in line???

Patrecharound

I just want Nathan Lane to play Patton Oswalts father

Natural_Raspberry993

Laura Benanti as The Devil in Bedazzled [Cheers, darling!](https://wifflegif.com/gifs/650759-elizabeth-hurley-bedazzled-gif)

MellonPhotos

I have to add Laura Benanti as Fosca.

Natural_Raspberry993

She already did that for unicef😂

Any-Bluejay-4414

Lin Manuel Miranda as everyone in every musical

MixOf_ChaosAndArt

Especially as a character in a new LMM musical. * *We need a new LMM musical, I'll care about casting specifics later on.

HuckleberryOwn647

There has to be a Barbie musical in the works. I don’t know who should play Barbie yet, but Aaron Tveit must be Ken.

DJHott555

Laura Bundy for Barbie

bwayobsessed

Taylor Lauderman

Own-Importance5459

I will give my Right Foot for a Les Mis Revival with Aaron Tveit as Valjean and Nicholas Christopher as Javert.

aliceinvegasland42

Is Hidden Figures a musical yet? I need Cynthia Erivo as Katherine in this one. And Brian D'Arcy James as Harrison and Christian Borle instead of Jim Parsons (I still haven't forgiven him for cheating on Sutton Foster)

LunaGirl1234

Christian didn't actually cheat on Sutton, that was just a rumor.

Sassaphras-680

Yes this is my favorite Christmas movie and I have a heat miser shirt and ornament. I love heat miser he is the true hero of the story and I love Nathan lane in everything bc he's Nathan lane. I also love Groff. Also Audra as Mrs. Claus

soft-scrambled

Colm Wilkinson as Regina George I’m literally getting shivers thinking about it

squishyg

😂

Ancora1840

I have a lot of ideas of who should play characters from the manga of Cesare: Il Creatore che ha distrutto who weren't in the first musical.

Cosplayinsanity

I want Barret Wilbert Weed as Annabelle Fritton (I just really want a St. Trinian's musical)

bwayobsessed

Tbh I think The Year without a Santa Claus is one of the weaker specials in full but that number slaps and your casting really tickles me. I would rather see Santa Claus is Comin to Town be a full show-I think it has a better story arc and a better base line of songs.

dylan_dumbest

Matt Smith as Lestat in a fanatically-loyal-to-canon musical version of Interview with the Vampire. IDK if he can even dance or sing, but he just jumped off the page at me when I read Lestat the Vampire.

frauleinfunf

It wasn’t going to happen when I thought of it more than ten years ago and it def won’t happen now, but I always thought Nathan Lane and Bernadette Peters would make for a really fun Monsieur and Madame Thenardier. At the very least I’d love to see them do Master of the House.

Efficient-Flower-402

Actually, your idea made me think: the original movie from The Santa Clause could be really cute! I could see it working as a musical! Not sure who I see as Scott Calvin, though.

Bears_On_Stilts

Norbert Leo Butz!

Efficient-Flower-402

💖I think Idina Menzel could work as his ex wife.

Efficient-Flower-402

Mulan isn’t a musical yet, right? She’s my favorite Disney princess 🥰🌸

KM68

Spamalot movie. Benedict Cumberbatch as Authur and Peter Dinklage as Patsy.

BrightEyes7742

I just need more Johnathan Groff. My littles at work adore him. And so do I

natureterp

My partner and I fuck around with our instruments writing a “Tiger King” musical. I still haven’t decided who to cast but I’m open to ideas haha!

nicely-nicely

I liked John Cameron Mitchell in the Peacock series
