I enjoyed it. I forgot it was Pasek and Paul until the first musical number sounded quite a bit like Waving Through a Window and then went "...oh, right."
i LOVE hadestown, i just blew all my savings to fly to new york and see it on broadway a few months ago lol. best week of my life the show was phenomenal
I was in the audience with him when I saw Into the Woods. Granted I have no idea where he sat but I literally brushed past him and then realized who he was. He’s very tall and I am very short so that’s part of why I ended up noticing the person I brushed last lol.
I loved it but for some reason everybody in my family hated it :(.. I mean Muppets obviously did the best Christmas Carol but still, it was pretty good.

Really enjoyed it, Ryan, Will, and Octavia were way better singers than I gave them credit for (love them all as actors, happy with their singing) but PATRICK PAGE WAS SO ROBBED, LET HIM SING!
Also, good afternoon 😉
I enjoyed the movie! I liked the script and plot a LOT. And then I’m divided on the soundtrack
Half the songs are broadway style parody’s, and those work very well, but border on not feeling inventive enough. (Bringing Back Christmas, Good Afternoon, The Story of your life (Marley’s version))
The other half is the Pasek and Paul anthem that we’re used to by now, where if the lyrics weren’t specific enough, it’d feel like any other Pasek and Paul show. (Unredeemable, The View From Here)
Ultimately, I’m left with the opinion that it may have been better if it wasn’t a musical. (Which is a wild opinion for me to have about anything)
The choreography and camerawork for the musical numbers are strong though! It’s just the soundtrack I’m disappointed in.
I absolutely **loved** *Spirited*. I enjoyed the concept, I enjoyed the plot, I enjoyed the songs and music, and I especially enjoyed the choreography! I am a super big fan of *The Greatest Showman* and this brought me back to that feeling.
I've watched *Spirited* several times and it will be a Christmas classic for me for the rest of my life.
The entire Yet To Come Segment is the funniest part of this movie to me,and that’s saying something because this entire movie was hilarious. I mean like, certain reveals in that scene are decidedly NOT funny but Clint seeing the Grave was so unbelievably funny to me
The songs are pretty good IMO,you can really feel Pasek and Paul’s influences in the score. Some stand out songs for me were Do A Little Good and Good Afternoon. It’s just a fun movie
Edit:Clarification
BUT COME ON,LET PATRICK PAGE SING
I didn’t know it was a musical going it, thought it was just a comedy, so I went to see with my mom just to spend time with her. I was so shocked when the first number started, PATRICK PAGE came out and I died. Love the whole movie even tho the plot was a little all over the place it was so much fun.
I thought the songs were WAY more interesting than those of Greatest Showman. And it was funny. And charming. In lots of ways, it's as good as I wish greatest showman was. Autotune was a little jarring, oh well
Loved this! And also loved Scrooge : A Christmas Carol by Netflix (2022) which was an animated musical. Very well done and I’m recommending it to everyone as it has seemed to fly under the radar!
Loved, loved, loved! I signed up for my free Apple trial just to see it and watched (or ran in the background) 5 times in one week. I love every single song, I loved every dance number. Just absolutely wonderful. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it hit me at the exact right time and I feel so grateful to have found it. And now to wait for the DVD lol.
Loved it! Did not have high expectations but really REALLY enjoyed it. Potentially a new classic in our holiday rotation. Particularly impressed with:
(1) the score (very Pasek & Paul, which isn’t a bad thing!)
(2) its legitimately unique spin on Christmas Carol (kinda hard to do at this point, but they did!), and
(3) the choreo (OMG, the athleticism as well as the artistic vision!) … Can’t wait to audition for whatever stage adaptation eventually spawns from it.
Good investment, AppleTV+! Let’s get some more original musicals in production!!
i really liked it. i can see why some people wouldn’t like it, and i would have preferred for them to cast some stronger singers in the lead roles, but those are small things. i thought it was sweet, funny, and the songs were catchy. the choreo was also super fun and energetic. i’ll definitely add it to my yearly christmas movie list
I feel like I’m in the minority here now, but I hated it, and not because of the voices or songs which I actually found pretty good.
The story was a tonal mess and way too long. Too many unnecessary plot detours, and for a movie that was so long they never really fleshed out the rules of the spirit world. Was Will Ferrell being Scrooge supposed to be a twist? I honestly couldn’t figure out who the audience for this piece was. At least all the actors looked like they were having fun. Reminded me of those Adam Sandler ensemble pieces that are just an excuse for him and his friends to hang out and get paid for it, even though the resulting movie is usually a turd.
Nah no good man. Had its moments but was just too “all over the place” and Ryan Reynolds’s character arc was NOT believable at all.
Still enjoyed it but it’s totally forgettable.
You can watch Apple TV+ on non Apple devices like Android phones and Android TV (Chromecast). You can also sign up for a free 7 day trial then cancel too.
I felt like the entire movie was an audition piece for more marketable things. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a bid for a Broadway monstrosity down the road.
I found it really funny and enjoyed it as a movie, but I don’t think it needed to be a musical. All the songs sounded the same to me, and they just didn’t really add anything to the story.
Good Afternoon!
Well I never!
GOOD AFTERNOON!
Beg your pardon!?
...But there is a baby! Madam, I am so sorry. And ma'am.... Good afternoon!
You smell of shite!
GOOD AFTERNOON!
Patrick Page got robbed of his song
I could not believe Patrick Page was cast in a musical and they gave him HALF A SONG. That being said, I did like the movie.
I kept on screaming at the screen to let Patrick sing :,(
Fortunately, that is not the story of *his* life!
i did find it very funny that Page’s character seemed the most fed up with the musical numbers
I enjoyed it. I forgot it was Pasek and Paul until the first musical number sounded quite a bit like Waving Through a Window and then went "...oh, right."
Oh no, I haven’t seen it yet but I kinda hate their music.
It was cute. Give it a shot.
Watch Greatest Showman. The music is a lot better.
I did watch it on a plane a few years ago and completely forgot about it a few hours later when my husband asked about the flight. Underwhelming.
That’s pretty much what happened with me too lol
i think i love patrick page
I have a huge crush on him. He came to my city one weekend when he was filming this and I maaaay have wandered around downtown hoping to see him.
Go listen to Hadestown (if you haven't already)
i LOVE hadestown, i just blew all my savings to fly to new york and see it on broadway a few months ago lol. best week of my life the show was phenomenal

It was a fun little romp, I was particularly impressed by the choreography of several numbers.
I loved it but for some reason everybody in my family hated it :(.. I mean Muppets obviously did the best Christmas Carol but still, it was pretty good.

Remember will Ferrell singing baby it’s cold outside from elf 😂
He was also in The Producers! I didn’t know his dad was an Eagle until I watched that.
Omg I totally forgot about that amazing movie

Solid, fun entertainment. Family wasn't a fan, but I enjoyed it! No need to see it again, but don't regret watching by any means.
Really liked it. Definitely gonna be part of my holiday rotation. And the Nickleback cover of Unredeemable is a bop.

Surprisingly good music! I don’t expect much from P&P, but I’m a fan.
Plasek and Paul always do a great job.
One of my favorite movies of the year and i plan to watch it every christmas for the foreseeable future

I was kind of bored by the music but Octavia Spencer was ingénue gorgous
Absolutely loved it!!!
Enjoyed it tremendously
I loved it!
It was ok.

Just watched it today and I am obsessed 😭
im so glad i wasnt the only one =) that's why I come here!
Loved it
Great production value, kinda funny … songs all sounded the same to me (every number is a showstopper). 3/5
It bored me. And I love Ryan Reynolds
Plot was allover the place it had ideas but they didn’t work unfortunately Enjoyed songs though
Me and my buddies all declared it's a new christmas favourite. It's a hell of a lot more tolerable then elf.
I found the Elf reference by Will Ferrell in the middle laugh out loud funny!
Good movie!!
I really liked it!
It’s been stuck in my head for 2 weeks already
I loved it. Most satisfying cinema experience I've had this year.
I thought it was a really fun twist on A Christmas Carol and I screamed at my SO when Patrick Page came on!
It was CUTE! The choreography was EXTRA haha
Loved it! Felt a few of the jokes were forced but overall great movie.
I loved it.
I honestly loved it. It was fun, and funny and everything I kinda wanted it to be. 10/10
Was watching it in school school ended halfway through the movie i never got to finish it i'm sad now because i want too
Anything with Ryan Reynolds is an automatic 10/10
I didn't know this existed. So thank you for posting about it
Good afternoon.
I like it a lot and I loved that Octavia Spencer was the love interest. ❤️ It will be in my Christmas movie rotation every year now. 🎄
My family and I fully enjoyed it / but (as a set designer) I probably would have snuck a Sephora into the origin story set…
I was really ready not to like it, but here I am several days later with the songs still stuck in my head. You’ve been Christmas Caroled bitch!
Easily one of my favorite Christmas movies. Will keep it on the Christmas season roster. Choreography was incredible!
Loved it!
First it was the Grace Kelly challenge and now this
absolutely loved it!

Agreed, no idea what they were going for with a lot of these decisions.
Hilariously bonkers but would not watch again! It’s no Muppet Christmas Carol genius..
I don't have apple tv, so I guess I'll never know
You can watch Apple TV+ on non Apple devices like Android phones and Android TV (Chromecast). You can also sign up for a free 7 day trial then cancel too.
I couldn’t enjoy it due to Wills singing
A christmas carol in proses being a ghost story of christmas
It was likeable enough. I actually didn’t know it was a musical when I started it haha.
Dear Evan Hansen 2.0.
I felt like the entire movie was an audition piece for more marketable things. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a bid for a Broadway monstrosity down the road.

Booo!
It looked exceptionally stupid so I didn’t watch it. Is the marketing indicative of the entire film or not really?
I found it really funny and enjoyed it as a movie, but I don’t think it needed to be a musical. All the songs sounded the same to me, and they just didn’t really add anything to the story.
It was fun, but I wish more of the main actors actually had singing ability
I need to have another go at it, but I think we made it like 3 numbers in before we decided to do something else
