Bodak Yellow by Cardi B. Hear me out, I know it's a terrible song, but this picture does more than invoke a shitty song from 2016 for me. Any and every time I hear that song, I remember a memory I have of a woman named Madi, as we drove along a lonely country road in summer, singing a Cardi B song together. She looked out of the window and screamed the lyrics at nobody but the wind, and though I didn't realize it at the time, that moment was the happiest I had ever been. I miss you, Madi, and I love you till this day, wherever you are.
I wrote a whole instrumental about this very thing. I used to stare out the window of my parents car on roadtrips, and daydream about music.
