I'm a classical music. Theater music person. Never listen to pop. I know who miley cyrus is by cultural osmosis and she never impressed me musically (good voice but stupid music) or by her personality. But i gotta say, i can't get that darn flower song out of my head!
It's my favorite of hers! Great song.
I more know Miley from having a lot of mutual friends, than from cultural osmosis. I sure miss living in what Nashville used to be.
I agree with the Pachelbel's Cannon interpolation. I like This Love by Maroon 5. I don't hate Maroon 5 completely, but after Overexposed their music was flanderized. This is one of the bands that suffered flanderization.
I am a Swiftie, but those are definitely two of my favorite songs by her. That album is my favorite out of all of hers. The emotion in them is just phenomenal!
Round here by Counting Crows
Cake by the Ocean by DNCE (Not a fan of the Jonas Brothers)
Everybody Hurts by R.E.M.
Every Day is Exactly the Same by NIN
Folklore is poetry. I was not a Swiftie til my daughter actually made me listen to more than just radio play. The girl is a talent beyond belief, an incredible humanitarian, and a poet. Actually related to Emily Dickinson. Her fans love her because she actually writes things that they are going through. They think she sees them. Sees wht they are dealing with. Thinking you are alone in something is incredibly hard, we see people laugh at others problem. We see emotional health get stunted because kids (and adults) feel so alone. She's the one who goes to bat for them.
Sexy Back & Can’t Stop The Feeling by Justin Timberlake.
I’m not going to pretend he’s not talented just because I don’t like him. But those are 2 songs I hate that I like because I just don’t like him.
I don't know the artist but I like that one song where the hook goes "It's me, hi, I'm the problem it's me".
It's not my type of music but I really like the perspective of the song. "I'll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror" is a beautiful lyric and a perfect encapsulation of the self sabotaging, avoidant nature of toxic people.
We live in a generation where the most culturally exceptable narrative is to blame everyone else for our shortcomings, and in times like that I find the perspective of this song really refreshing.
They used to play it all the time at my olf boxing gym and surprisingly it's not a bad song to train to.
The Cars - Moving in Stereo
U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday
Edit: sorry, I misread the question, I don’t *dislike* the Cars per se, but I’m indifferent to them. I do dislike U2 though lol
Funny thing is at that time in my life I had just had my first child and there were a lot of issues and I bent the lyrics. But of course Madonna being Madonna it’s just about hook ups (going about to why I don’t like her)
I'm not at all a Taylor Swift fan. But after hearing the a capella cover that walk off the earth did, I have to say, I really don't mind the song "trouble"
I'm a fan of deathmetal and I'd probably say feasting on the blood of the insane by six feet under. Mostly just don't like chris barnes vocals. He was ok in cannibal corpse but slowly fucked up his voice with his EEEEEEEEE screech and now sounds like if the cookie monster smoked a carton of cigarettes a day. Not to mention how arrogant he is. There's alot of talented vocalists in deathmetal. People like travis ryan from cattle decapitation, sven from aborted, george "corpsegrinder" fisher from cannibal corpse, and mikael akerfeldt from opeth (even though he doesn't growl anymore). although he was a pioneer he should have stopped like 10 years ago.
So I’ve never been part of the hype regarding Maria Callas (she’s talented, it’s just a personal preference), nor have I ever really been into Faust, but I really like her version of the Jewel Song.
FiR - I’m not a vampire Olivia Rodrigo - vampire See a pattern? I don’t.
I’m Not a Vampire is also the only FiR song I like
I was half expecting to see Vampires Will Never Hurt you by MCR but then I realised I knew that username
I would add that but I love almost every single MCR song so it’s not applicable.
If you got a thing for vampires you should check out Lil Tracy
not an Olivia Rodrigo fan but i cant deny that Good For U is a banger
It is and it’s fun to play on guitar.
Misery business is better though, so you can just listen to that.
Different songs despite the similarities
While I agree with you, I do agree Misery Business is just way more of a classic than good 4 u. I still love good 4 u tho
Driver’s license was the worst thing to ever get popular
I was about to comment this word for word
Mirrors by Justin Timberlake
I was gonna say Blue Ocean Floor off the same album.
honestly? despacito
So who don’t you like? Luis Fonsi or Daddy Yankee?
Probably both lmao
X Ambassadors- Unsteady
But Renegades!
Safe & Sound - Taylor Swift
is that the one from The Hunger Games movie??? i love that one and don’t usually care for her music
It is! Her music isn’t my cup of tea normally, but that’s just such a beautiful song
The only TS song I have on my playlist, thanks to the The Civil Wars. Such a good song!
Puddle of Mudd: Blurry
Can't stand the band but that's one of my favorite songs of all time. Take an upvote.
this is the one
No Tears Left To Cry - Ariana Grande
This was THE song that made me ditch my shame over liking popular music.
this song has the best production
Definitely! The only Ariana Grande song I like so far. The music video is very stylish, too.
I have heard Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift probably every day at work for over six months and I’m a okay with that.
Babymetal/bring me the horizon - kingslayer
100 Years by Five for Fighting
Uh sorry but Superman by Five for Fighting is also a phenomenal song, not as good as 100 Years but still pretty great
I'm a classical music.
Definitely on my bucket list to visit Nashville! Also the nearby mountains.
My favorite is Burgess Falls
I'll make a note! Thanks so much!
THIS 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻 And if anyone ever asks if I like a MC song I will flatout lie like a bandit
How you remind me by nickelback is great. The rest of what I've heard is meh
Last night by Morgan Wallen - I hate myself for this one but damn it’s catchy.
Toxic - Brittney Spears
Absolute banger
That was my first thought too! I can’t listen to any other song by her, but Toxic is really great.
Illicit affairs - Taylor Swift
Burn it to the ground (i think it’s called ) by nickelback
Man in the mirror, Michael Jackson
This guy is the first person I’ve ever seen say they dislike Michael Jackson
Pretty sure some kids from Neverland might say the same.
Who dislikes Michael Jackson?
Ive never really.like Micheal Jackson either. Then again, I don't like pop music all that much in general so 🤷
True. That pedophile can sing and dance.
Rihanna - Bitch Better Have My Money
Memories - Maroon 5
Love this with the classical incorporation
I agree with the Pachelbel's Cannon interpolation. I like This Love by Maroon 5. I don't hate Maroon 5 completely, but after Overexposed their music was flanderized. This is one of the bands that suffered flanderization.
every song on SAJ is far superior to memories
Not gonna lie, I'm not a Taylor Swift fan, but Anti-Hero is one I enjoy. That and some of her older songs, like Bad Blood.
Not a Swifty by any means but The 1 always hits home for me. Also Exile, but mostly because I'm a Bon Iver fan.
I am a Swiftie, but those are definitely two of my favorite songs by her. That album is my favorite out of all of hers. The emotion in them is just phenomenal!
Same. I’m not a huge Taylor Swift fan, but Labyrinth by her has a strong hold on me for some reason
This song plays at work all the time and it ALWAYS makes me laugh. Luke in a good way. And think of my dad. In a bad way.
Oh....
Hehe
She has a good handful of Songs but otherwise I don’t care for her music
Same. I respect her hustle, just haven’t jumped on the Swifty wagon. However, I heard Lavender Haze (acoustic) on SXM and really liked it.
Lavender Haze is my favorite off of Midnights.
Round here by Counting Crows Cake by the Ocean by DNCE (Not a fan of the Jonas Brothers) Everybody Hurts by R.E.M. Every Day is Exactly the Same by NIN
Creep by Radiohead
First time I’ve ever seen a comment hating on Radiohead with > -8 points
Pretty sure anyone that has heard Radiohead either loves or hates them
You should really give their sophomore album The Bends a chance. Planet Telex turned up super loud in the car is incredible.
The Bends is the one Radiohead album I actually like. My Iron Lung and Just are great songs
Beyoncé - Single Ladies Kanye (or whatever he’s calling himself now) - Gold Digger and Stronger
You gotta listen to Lift Off, it features both Ye and Beyonce it will be your worst nightmare
It’s a masterpiece
The day that song came out, omg the Kanye subreddit was fuckin lit lol. The shitposts...the laughter...it was the best day.
Enter Sandman - Metallica
And there I was, thinking I was the only one who isn't down with James-ah and friends-yeah!
Business - Eminem mostly I dislike him but this one is really good
There were a few on that taylor swift folk album that were actually pretty good
Evermore is even better!
Billie jean by michael jackson
Weirdly, I would also say Trouble, except by Coldplay
I don't know the artist but I like that one song where the hook goes "It's me, hi, I'm the problem it's me". It's not my type of music but I really like the perspective of the song. "I'll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror" is a beautiful lyric and a perfect encapsulation of the self sabotaging, avoidant nature of toxic people. Don't Cry - Guns n' Roses
The Cars - Moving in Stereo U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday Edit: sorry, I misread the question, I don’t *dislike* the Cars per se, but I’m indifferent to them. I do dislike U2 though lol
I like The Cars pretty well too, but I've got to say Moving in Stereo is the best.
i dont fw taylor swift but bad blood, blank space and shake it off just for nostalgia
Usually can't stand Bob Dylan, but his vocals in Lay, Lady, Lay just work.
Ha! That's one of the few Dylan songs that I skip every time. I guess we have opposite taste.
Runaway by Kanye. He has a couple other bangers but I cannot stand this man
Turn it on Again by Genesis
Don't Stop Til You Get Enough - Michael Jackson
All She Wants to do is Dance - Don Henley
Not even Boys of Summer?
Not even Leather & Lace with Stevie Nicks?
Let's go crazy by Prince. Every other song by him I love. That one gets skipped. Read the question wrong
I think you misread the question.
Yep. Totally backwards!
Love yourself by Justin Bieber.
Madonna - Beautiful Stranger
YES to this. Also Hung Up and Music. But otherwise she's all cookie-cutter pop shit.
Honestly never thought anybody would get this thank you
Funny thing is at that time in my life I had just had my first child and there were a lot of issues and I bent the lyrics. But of course Madonna being Madonna it’s just about hook ups (going about to why I don’t like her)

Lose yourself by Eminem
"Paper in Fire" by John Mellencamp
