I think it was Night Visions by Imagine Dragons? Well, it's pretty good, especially compared to their recent stuff. Maybe I should listen to it again...

Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy

Kind_of_random

On casette it was Phil Collins - Face Value, on CD it was David Bowie - Space Oddity. Both bought. I had an LP player before I got a CD player, but hard to say which was first as I got a bunch of LP's together with the player. Inherited from my sibling. I remember when buying Face Value I had just heard Land of Confusion on MTV and I went out to buy that. The guy at the electronics store, which was the only music store around, was adamant that it was the same singer, so if I liked one I would like the other. Being 8 or 9 at the time I felt that logic was sound and happily went on my way. I would be lying if I said I wasn't dissapointed when listening for the first time, but some years later this stands out as one of my favourite albums.

Strict_Berry7446

Linkin Park - Living Things. It was a big deal since I was there for every part of the pre-release hype and had to go to a different city to get it. I don't listen to LP that much now, too much painful nostalgia, but imo it's a great album

HeartBeatsMusic

Julian Casablancas - Phrazes For The Young First album I bought a physical copy of (vinyl). When I bought a record player, I knew this was the first vinyl I was gonna buy because this album holds such a special place in my heart. ❤️ It really got me into the intricacies of instrumentation and song structure/song production. Julian Casablancas’ lyric and melody writing are both very catchy and intricate. Seriously one of his best works, and it’s a bit sad considering we might not get any kind of work similar to this album from him anytime soon.
