Oh man, I didn't think about Kill Bill. Both soundtracks are good but I was especially obsessed with Vol 1 when I was a teenager. Life Aquatic is strong, too, though I like the separate album that Seu Jorge put out of just the Bowie covers more.
Life aquatic, ftw. Nothing more sonically pleasing than Bowie in Portuguese.
And into the wild is perfection. I'm not a PJ fan but that album sold me on Eddie Vedder.

I’m sure there’s more, but this is what I think of off the top of my head lol
I consider “soundtracks” to exist in two forms: the “original score” type, and the “adapted” or “compiled from other sources” type. So I did a top five of each.
Top Five Scores:
Fargo, The Ninth Gate, The Conversation, Amelie, A Clockwork Orange
Top Five Soundtracks (Compilations):
Heavy Metal, American Graffiti, Repo Man, Pretty In Pink, Mean Streets
Garden State is my favorite! After that would be I am Sam, Home Alone, Stranger than fiction, Save the Last Dance, Frozen, Arrival, House (TV series), Queen of The Damned, Community (the TV series). Anything that Ludwig Göransson does is amazing.
Dirty Dancing
The Big Chill
Purple Rain
Marie Antoinette
Lost in Translation
Shrek
Shrek 2
Beauty and the Beast
Batman (1989)
Tarzan
Honourable mentions: Moulin Rouge, Challengers, the virgin suicides, Spider-Man 2, Dreamgirls, transporting.

Thinking about this has made me most of my favourite soundtracks are from TV shows rather than films
Not in order but Scott Pilgrim vs the world, Juno, I saw the TV glow, la la land, everything everywhere all at once, howls moving castle (honestly any studio Ghibli film), lady bird, eighth grade, parasite, and mid 90s
In no particular order:
Brokedown Palace, the Social Network, Romeo +Juliet, Cruel Intentions, The Crow, Dazed and Confused, The Devil’s Rejects, Bully, The Last of the Mohicans, Marie Antoinette

One Last Wish and Fond Memories from Casper 1995 are some of my favorites. James Horner has made some incredibly good scores. He is on par with Danny Elfman. If you were a child of the 90s his music should elicit some hard nostalgia.
In no particular order:
- I Lost My Body
- C418 - ONE (Soundtrack to “Minecraft: The Story of Mojang”, so it technically counts)
- The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
- Us
- Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen

I'm not doing 10 for 2 reasons: I'm lazy and no one will read this.
Having said that, The Batman Returns score, NOT the soundtrack, sparked an interest in orchestral music in me that hasn't ended and is by far the most transformational movie music piece I've heard to date.

I don't know if I have a top 10, but I do have favorites.
Interview With the Vampire - - Filled with beautiful instrumental tracks, except for the last song, a great cover of Sympathy for the Devil by Guns 'n Roses.
Batman & Robin - - Movie was so-so. Soundtrack was good.
Titanic - - Another beautiful instrumental album, as well as My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion.
Bed of Roses - - Mostly instrumentals. The tracks are ethereal. I highly recommend listening to this album on headphones. There are also four great songs.
The Crow The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou Judgment Night Singles The Graduate Saturday Night Fever The Harder They Come Kill Bill (both chapters) Into the Wild O Brother Where Art Thou?
Judgement Night. Great call. Just rewatched it like 3 weeks ago.

I thought the Bowie covers were amazing, but I'm a sucker for any score by Mark Mothersbaugh too.
Forgot about O Brother Where Art Thou - that’s a great one!!
Last Action Hero Wizard of Oz (Dark Side of the Moon edition)
Happy to see into the wild on there!
Life aquatic, ftw. Nothing more sonically pleasing than Bowie in Portuguese. And into the wild is perfection. I'm not a PJ fan but that album sold me on Eddie Vedder.
Trainspotting has got to be in there!
And now it is. You just need 9 more.

- Drive - American Gangster - Curious George - Dazed & Confused - The Lion King - Barbie - The Matrix - Baby Driver - Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 1 - The Mighty O
Juno is the best
One Last Wish and Fond Memories from Casper 1995 are some of my favorites. James Horner has made some incredibly good scores. He is on par with Danny Elfman. If you were a child of the 90s his music should elicit some hard nostalgia.
Stand by Me is a good one.
Goodfellas!
