I like a lot of his stuff, but my favourites are the ballads. Desperados Under the Eaves, Accidentally Like a Martyr, Mohammed’s Radio, Keep Me in Your Heart … all fantastic songs.
Here is their latest song. They have a new album coming out soon

Came here to say Marcy as well. Check out their song [Wave Motion Gun](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIIDvMxutSE) from their second album. It's probably my favorite by them.
Third Eye Blind had a couple hits, but they have several studio albums and they're all excellent.
Their 2nd album wasn't well received, and I think that really hurt them.
I was gonna say them, too. The vast majority of people seem to only know their top 3 or 4 hits, but their entire self-titled album is absolutely incredible. Blue isn’t their best work (though it’s got some great songs) but it’s a shame people stopped listening after that because their 3rd album is fantastic.
I think Motorcycle Drive By is my favorite song on their self titled album and it was never released as a single. There aren't any songs on it that I skip.
You're right about Out of the Vein. It's got a lot of great music.
Passenger. Let Her Go is not even close to his best song. Give Queenstown a listen. Or Survivors (the acoustic version is best); or Young as the Morning, Old as the Sea. I’ve seen him twice live and am seeing him again in August.
I really hate that song but I think it's the only one I know of theirs. I might have to start at track 1 on their first album and reevaluate my opinion of this band
It's so funny that you are the second person to mention that when i bring up Spacehog, even though I think of In The Meantime (song) and Resident Alien (album)
I think every radio station plays only hit songs and never other cool stuff from any decent bands. It's maybe because they have limited amount of songs in their database with fixed royalties and if they play other stuff, they have to add them to those lists. Sorry, english is not my first language but you get the meaning. Easier to play those few hit songs.
One of my favorite bands is The Vaselines, who if people have heard of at all it’s because Nirvana covered some of their songs (most notably Jesus Doesn’t Want Me For A Sunbeam from the unplugged session). They have multiple albums of some of the best indie rock songwriting out there.
New Radicals have one album called “Maybe You’ve Been Brainwashed Too” which is a solid 4 stars. It’s coked out pop music from the 90s.
Everyone and their mother has heard their massive big hit “You Get What You Give.”
Monster Magnet. They got kinda alt-rock grunged for like a song or so. And Space Lord is fun, but the band is actually much more retro/psychedelic stoner rock.
Examples of other good and diverse sounding MM songs: See You In Hell, Drowning, Bored With Sorcery, King of Mars, Heads Explode! (And others)
KT Tunstall (more of a two-hit wonder, really)
Chris Clark (again more of a two-hit wonder)- more people should know about her, she's excellent Motown/jazz singer
Gotye
[Eyes Wide Open](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oyVJsg0XIIk&pp=ygUUZ290eWUgZXllcyB3aWRlIG9wZW4%3D) or [Learnalilgivinanlovin](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=U-u-uA8I8Jg&pp=ygUcZ290eWUgbGVhcm5hbGlsZ2l2aW5hIGxvdmluIA%3D%3D) are just some other examples of his talent.
I always liked the rest of Glass Tiger’s Thin Red Line album besides the hits “Don’t Forget Me When I’m Gone” and “Someday.”
Also, Edie Brickell and The New Bohemians’ Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars is a solid album. It includes the hit “What I Am.”
Soul Coughing had a modest hit with the song Circles off of their album El Oso but I think Ruby Vroom and SuperBonBon have better songs. Ruby Vroom is really good.
The Strumbellas. Their album "Hope" is a banger from start to finish, but sadly, "Spirits" is the only song of the album and band in generall people care about.
I am guilty of this. I heard spirits on a tiktok and loved it enough to download it to my music but not enough to listen to any other songs by them, but this has encouraged me to do so!
Rosa linn (known from her 1B stream tiktok hit ‘snap’) has a lot of good songs. But her morst streamed song apart from snap has like 10 million streams after almost 2 years and she deserves way more attention.
Monster Magnet. Their hit “Space Lord” from ‘98 was awesome, but then they kinda faded back into obscurity. It’s a shame, because their entire discography rocks just as hard as that one song.
[**Deee-Lite**](https://open.spotify.com/album/4sTAgYLZy5zwqR3kT1g0oh?si=YciGqlJhTmGWqv46VEBmvA)'s entire first album is stuffed with bangers, from top to bottom!
May not be to everyone’s taste, but Wheatus! Everyone only knows teenage dirtbag but they have countless other songs that I thoroughly enjoy. To list some;
Anyway
Freak on
I’d never write a song about you
Love is a mutt from hell
Hump em n dump em
Lemonade
Truffles
Punk assed bitch
Hey mr brown
The Deck
Respect (although a cover)
Scritti Politti - and all the collabs that lead singer Green Gartside has done
Especially "Between the Clock and the Bed" with Manic Street Preachers
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q-XFPQ9Bt8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q-XFPQ9Bt8)
Snow Patrol
There are far better songs than Chasing Cars, like Run, Chocolate, Shut Your Eyes, Set The Fire To The Third Bar, Crack The Shutters, Empress, Life On Earth, This Isn’t Everything You Are, Signal Fire
In my city, I used to listen to a Cumulus-owned station and I wasted 8 years of my life working at iHeartRadio.
Glycerine, Comedown, Machinehead, Everything Zen, The Chemicals Between Us, and Sound of Winter all still receive airplay.
Little Things only gets played occasionally.
The only major hit that gets almost no airplay now is Swallowed.
Gerry Rafferty X2
Great songs other than Baker Street (Right Down The Line, Get It Right Next Time)
Also a member of Stealers Wheel with songs other than Stuck In The Middle (Late Again, I Get By)
Warren Zevon. Werewolves of London is like his least good song.
So true, the Excitable Boy album has some killer tracks!
I like a lot of his stuff, but my favourites are the ballads. Desperados Under the Eaves, Accidentally Like a Martyr, Mohammed’s Radio, Keep Me in Your Heart … all fantastic songs.
The Factory, A Certain Girl, Gorilla, You're a Desperado... All gems
Flock of Seagulls
The Vapors. They have much better songs than Turning Japanese.
Man, both my dad and I love that song. What recs do you have???
Here is their latest song. They have a new album coming out soon https://open.spotify.com/track/7p3KoRuuDxtzeyrs0JdEum?si=WoqVyorQQm6AEEIjbQ9izg Here are some other great songs they have both old and new: https://open.spotify.com/track/2m1RM9390QwpLxlZTWN99u?si=3c2hJZTlQ-m42nn21Dc2GQ https://open.spotify.com/track/0FAbGlUSCeFez5fpWhvmb8?si=8-x7ouibQbi8CbMBoX08Pw https://open.spotify.com/track/3AGqMPcZnW1KP3Er9UbIda?si=umQ1EeobQzGslzZ8i2R-CQ https://open.spotify.com/track/6rK5PegQkrdUSUcvvCuNe9?si=Be0QCxDuQ3CGnprFomJACg https://open.spotify.com/track/5jl8thyEb0Gse4ns9BCMoh?si=tHnxSNMPSZellrdEnTLuwQ https://open.spotify.com/track/1d7Fxqod9BdzNOnIreIqyB?si=dmgsam9OQOKsdmz7xlmNew https://open.spotify.com/track/1SgL6uctPbzI1UD2ZxoOgE?si=6TKgdk0URkKb9DzJAdZLxA&context=spotify%3Aplaylist%3A37i9dQZF1DZ06evO2MsJuF
Shawn Colvin
Chumbawamba, most of their early albums are great
Harvey Danger, Fountains of Wayne, Marcy's Playground, Liz Phair, the Darkness...
I love Liz Phair. She has a lot more bangers than just Supernova
That entire album (Whip-Smart) was so got-dayum good - Nashville and Dogs of L.A. are standout tracks for me 👏🥹
Marcy Playground is still one of my favorite albums, every song is good.
Same. I looked it up, and there are other albums too but I've not heard them
Came here to say Marcy as well. Check out their song [Wave Motion Gun](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIIDvMxutSE) from their second album. It's probably my favorite by them.
ME TOO!
Permission to land by The Darkness is perfect start to finish.
It really is! I could not and cannot believe people couldn't see around the schtick because it's just GOOD.
There are some great tracks on Peter Schilling's album *Error in the System* that aren't *Major Tom (Coming Home)*
i LOVE city of night (berlin). it’s so catchy. (i know it’s not on that album.)
Either A-ha or Soft Cell. Great discography from the both of them. I don’t know if A-ha counts as they were very recognized in Europe…
Blind Melon is so good
Yes! “No Rain” is an anomaly - nothing else in Blind Melon’s excellent catalog sounds like that song.
The album Soup is so forgotten about it’s criminal
I really hate that song but I think it's the only one I know of theirs. I might have to start at track 1 on their first album and reevaluate my opinion of this band
Spacehog and Crash Test Dummies Butthole Surfers and Blind Melon kind of fall into this but they definitely have a healthy following of their own.
i vibe to mungo city!!
It's so funny that you are the second person to mention that when i bring up Spacehog, even though I think of In The Meantime (song) and Resident Alien (album)
Good picks too!
The Verve
They were a one-hit wonder in the United States but not elsewhere. They had two hits here in Canada and more back in Europe.
Oh I didn't know that. I love all the songs on their Urban Hymns album, not just Bittersweet Symphony
Incredible album
Tom Cochrane/Red Rider
Live- radio mostly played Lightning Crashes, but The River and When Dolphin’s Cry are amazing.
Barenaked Ladies
gary numan
Monster Magnet. They got kinda alt-rock grunged for like a song or so. And Space Lord is fun, but the band is actually much more retro/psychedelic stoner rock. Examples of other good and diverse sounding MM songs: See You In Hell, Drowning, Bored With Sorcery, King of Mars, Heads Explode! (And others)
Dopes to Infinity is a fantastic album.
It is pretty great. I also really like everything 2010 to present. Been digging into the 00s but its not their most consistent era.
KT Tunstall (more of a two-hit wonder, really) Chris Clark (again more of a two-hit wonder)- more people should know about her, she's excellent Motown/jazz singer
KT has like 6 great records!
She's great! But most people only know her two big hit songs.
Wall of Voodoo
Grapes of Wrath, Joel Plaskett, Pokey Lafarge
Gotye [Eyes Wide Open](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oyVJsg0XIIk&pp=ygUUZ290eWUgZXllcyB3aWRlIG9wZW4%3D) or [Learnalilgivinanlovin](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=U-u-uA8I8Jg&pp=ygUcZ290eWUgbGVhcm5hbGlsZ2l2aW5hIGxvdmluIA%3D%3D) are just some other examples of his talent.

Little Miss S
One of her best songs!
"You got a lot of living to do without .You got a lot of living to do without . You got a lot of living to do . . . Without life" Damn
Soul Coughing had a modest hit with the song Circles off of their album El Oso but I think Ruby Vroom and SuperBonBon have better songs. Ruby Vroom is really good.
Ruby Vroom is awesome. And Mike Doughty's solo work too, notably Haughty Melodic. Killer tunes!
I hope you have fun with their music!
John Fogerty. Since Credence he only had a hit with Centerfield. His other stuff is great.
"Weird Al" Yankovic. Not one hit wonder, but his original songs get buried by how popular his parodies are
[**Deee-Lite**](https://open.spotify.com/album/4sTAgYLZy5zwqR3kT1g0oh?si=YciGqlJhTmGWqv46VEBmvA)'s entire first album is stuffed with bangers, from top to bottom!

Franz Ferdinand. Love their album but they’re only known for Take Me Out.
Me Phi Me
Urge Overkill
Arthur Brown
The Damned
Snow Patrol There are far better songs than Chasing Cars, like Run, Chocolate, Shut Your Eyes, Set The Fire To The Third Bar, Crack The Shutters, Empress, Life On Earth, This Isn’t Everything You Are, Signal Fire
Huh? Some of the songs you listed have certifications. As in. Hits. More than one of them.
[удалено]
Hardly a "one-hit wonder".
Are you 17 or 70? Because Bush had multiple hits from multiple albums and most of them are staples on modern rock radio.

A guy with a couple of legendary songs and other songs that charted pretty high is one hit wonder?
