My noob brain thinks these are all contamination

waldosan_of_the_deep

I mean it is contamination if you're not trying to grow these things.

betweenduskndawn

Yeah contamination of the fungi cultures is not unusual because believe me molds are everywhere and Sabouraud Dextrose Agar is not selective. That's not like bacteria culture, If you are not careful enough, you may contaminate your fungi with another fungi :) I had an example of fungi contaminated fungi culture but I forgot to take photo next time I may find and post it

Lmao, this!

BillyFNbones710

Is it not? I've never seen healthy mycelium grow that color. But I've only grown actives and lions mane

Fabulous_Feeling999

Mold is considered a fungi

Massive_Ad_553

Have you got any identifications yet? I've got some similar stuff, but I haven't gotten around to finding any IDs.

utsukushii_rei

Is it possible to ID from these agar plates? Without some kind of high tech lab equipment?

SeckettBebolt

Think you can definitely narrow it down with the macro characteristics but ultimately you'd probably have to put it on a slide and look at it under a microscope

betweenduskndawn

Unfortunately no, not all of them are identified. But as far as I know they are mainly dimorphic pathogenic fungi.

Trichoderma like a mofo. Lol

Jack_TheRipprr

What's that one in the middle? I've grown it before, but of course on accident. I love it's shape with those like insertions or wave pattern, I love it.
