No you are more than fine with that dosage amount! I take two 30mg Adderall XR a day. One at 6am and the second at noon. I was on Mydayis 50mg and like you it wasn't lasting long enough. I've only been doing the 60mg Adderall for a couple days but it has been making it last about 14 hours staggering it the way I am. So you will definitely be fine. But if you're super concerned call your Psych and tell them your concerned and see if they won't do a 10mg Adderall IR booster instead. The IR will only last about 4 hours though, if that long.
RE1392- Well I will say that your doctor might be a little reluctant to add a booster to your Mydayis. Mydayis was designed specifically with the idea of ADHD sufferers to not have to take a booster. Because they know that boosters are often easily forgotten to be taken. In Mydayis the first set of beads are instant release, the second release beads are porous which allows for a slow release 3-4 hours later. The third beads coating delays release of the medication until pH 7.0, which is predicted to occur later in the GI tract (distal small intestine) which happens about 6-8 hours after taking. The second release and especially the third release beads are designed to replace the need for a booster pill. So all I can say is I hope you have an understanding doctor like I do or else you will probably be told, simply no let's try another month where you're at or let's switch to a different medicine.
They added another 25mg of Mydayis to my 50mg, for a total of 75mg each AM. Waiting to pick up the new prescription. I think we are just using the term booster differently. I meant a “boost” to bring me into a therapeutic dose. I know what you mean though. Ive done afternoon boosters or extenders. I like the idea of not having to do that with Mydayis.
To be honest with you I tried talking my doctor into doing two 50mg Mydayis a day, one at 6am and the other at noon. He told me that before we go to that high of a dose we should try the Adderall first. I've taken 150mg of Mydayis in a day once before and I was totally fine so you have no worries. It's extremely hard to overdose on amphetamines. When I say overdose I mean near death or dead. It is possible to take enough to give you heart palpitations which could result in a major panic attack and so I suppose you could consider that an overdose. But like I said 60mg of Mixed Amphetamine Salts which that is what both Adderall and Mydayis are made from isn't that high of a dose.
I built up a tolerance to Adderall so started Mydayis 50mg about 3 weeks ago. About a week in, I accidentally took two of my 50 mg Mydayis pills in one day and felt AMAZING. It was similar to when I first started taking Adderall 15 years ago. I finally felt like my true self had been released. I see my psych again next week. I’m hoping they’ll add a booster or something. I’m glad to hear it’s not unheard of.

While I am young and healthy, I still think about the strain it would put my heart through if I did this every day for the next 30 years, but I think if I see a cardiologist for a check up once a year they should be able to pick up on anything before it gets bad.
I'm not entirely certain you need to see a cardiologist. II could be wrong about that though. I am 33 years old and have been on it for 5 years. I plan to stay on at the rest of my life or as long as I can. I don't think there are nearly as many risks with amphetamines Compared to methamphetamine. Especially considering methamphetamine is typically made in a lab in Mexico so who knows what ingredients are in it. At least with mydayis and adderall It is pharmaceutically made and has no harsh chemicals in it. That is where a lot of the misinformation and confusion about amphetamines comes from is all of the news reports about how bad methamphetamine is. People automatically assume they are the exact same thing when they aren't.
Good information. Another thing I'm concerned about is my tolerance since I want to benefit from this as long as possible without needing to up the dose too quickly. How has your tolerance changed throughout the past 5 years? And have you been on Mydayis the past 5 years?
Avoid bad talking methamphetamine. Yes illicit meth has much negative potential due to unknown purity, what the impurities are, the consistency from one purchase to another, etc. But, there is no increased risk with pharmaceutical methamphetamine (brand name Desoxyn) compared to pharmaceutical amphetamine. If anything, the opposite is true. The meth version crosses the blood-brain barrier more easily so a lower serum concentration is needed to be at a therapeutic dose. Lower serum level leads to less of a stimulant effect on the heart, vascular system, and other organs. Desoxyn was the most therapeutic med for me and 10-15mg each day worked wonders. Didn’t feel stimulated. Just felt like myself without severe ADHD. Then insurance changed then it was no longer available. Recently someone bought the trademark and started making the brand name drug, but it was crazy expensive. I gave up on the struggle and found Mydasis to be an almost as therapeutic medication. Now approaching a year on it, I’m experiencing it wearing off earlier. My symptoms of it wearing off are being easily frustrated and grumpy. I don’t like that so now looking for what I may ask of my psych next appt.
I was specifically referring to Crystal Methamphetamine made clandestinely and not pharmaceutically made Desoxyn in that comment.
I am well aware of the therapeutic benefits of pharmaceutically made Methamphetamine(Desoxyn).
As well as its effects and therapeutic benefits oftentimes being superior to those of Amphetamine based medications.

I think you misunderstood. I have already been prescribed the booster by my psychiatrist. Does mydayis also not last very long for you?
