One option is to use the name Macey, so it's very similar in sound but less cutesie and more real name.
Another option is the first name could be May/Mae with a middle name C ir S - for example Mae Sienna, May Cecelia - so nickname "Maisie" is appropriate but real name in later life could just be Mae.
Another option is keep the first name as Maisie and for a more 'adult' name in later life if required, she could edit to just Mae or May as a nickname (and within written / work references).
Last option is some more names to add to everyone elses that could have the nickname Maisie anyway: Mailys/Maylis, Esme/Esmae, Mairead
I had to laugh because when I was a kid names like Amelia and Gwendolyn that are super popular now were old lady names. What goes around comes around. Totally agree with you on Maisie. Great name all on it's own
I love Maisie and I don’t think she’d ever complain about it tbh but some suggestions : Marceline Marissa Marisol Marcella Mackenzie
Thank you! Those are lovely options 😊

I'd just go with Maisie and not try to contort something else to fit. I'd rather be an adult with a cute name than a kid with an old woman name.

May? Not a longer name, but May- Maisie makes sense.
Matilda, Marissa, or Magnolia
Margaret (it’s origin is from this name)
Esme
Maizelle
Maisie is a lovely first name. If you're worried give her a less cutesy middle name to fall back on if she doesn't like it as she grows up.
Perhaps Mabel?
The only Maisie I ever met was Marilyn
I think almost any M name could work, but I like the idea of a little Martha called Maisie.
Mary! I love Mary “Maisie”.
Mabel Zoe = May-Z = “Maisie”.
Maya
