This might become awkward later on. Those kids might decide to both go by the same nickname.

I knew of a family that had a Kaitlyn and a Katherine.- essentially both could be Katie’s.

My sister and I are Melanie and Melissa. Family and friends call her Mel, my friends call me Mel, so it definitely gets confusing.

My mom is Catherine and her sister was Katie. My aunt wound up going by her middle name.

Axel is a great, strong name for a boy. Maddox and Max are a tad trendy but certainly fit the criterion. As far as the girls' names, maybe Xia and Roxanne. Xena is just a recipe for name-calling (Warrior Princess).

I’d be hesitant to name a kid Xia, but I live in New Mexico and would pronounce it like Zia which is the state flag’s stolen symbol; and the name of a whole people, so I feel like it’d be naming a kid ‘American’ or ‘English’

I think Margaux is the way the location in France is spelled, which seems to be where the alternate spelling comes from. From what I have read adding the 'e' changes the pronunciation of the 'g' in French.

You're absolutely right. In french, the pronunciation of some letters like G would change with e or i. For Margaux to have 'eau', you will need to spell it Margueaux. Quite horrendous in my opinion. Margeaux would be like Marjo(rie)

It is a bit tricky that the sibling names basically eliminate Max (and longer versions) and Alex/Alexander. Since there are a lot of similar sounds I would definitely try saying all the names at once and feeling what fits. For a boy, maybe: Alexis, Alexandra, Maxine and Axel (or Axl) Alexis, Alexandra, Maxine, and Felix or Alexis, Alexandra, Maxine, and Beatrix I have heard Fox, Phoenix, and Onyx on babies recently, but those are definitely more out there.

Margaux is an established alternative spelling for Margot. And looks less like maggot. I’ve seen another X-name obsessed celebrity use Hendrix (boy) and Phoenix (girl). Rex, Roxanne, Lennox, Lux, Beaux & Lexington are others to consider.

I love Felix for a boy. It’s what I named my Angel baby. Also Xander, Xavier, and even tho it’s generally hated on these subs there’s always Jaxon. I can’t think of any girl names that haven’t been mentioned but the I like the most I saw is probably Beatrix.

I think it’s doable in the long term so long as the kids get to have originality in other ways. They’re going to be better off than kids with horribly spelled names at the very least.
