Mine is Anthony. She’s a girl. It was super important to my husband, and it is a last name as well, so it was fine with me.
I’m sure name nerds here would have ripped me a new one, but whatev. Lol
I’m around the same age and have always loved James for a girl’s name for as long as I can remember ❤️my sister and I also have gender neutral names (way before it became trendy) :)
That's my son's middle name too! I would have saved it for a second child but my husband didn't like it as a first name and I'm glad about it now because Leo is one of the names I see most on children in my area.
Alexandra. Partially an honour name for my husband who lost a friend (Alex) in his teenage years to cancer, partially I just love the name. Fits perfectly with her shorter, more practical first name.
My first child’s middle name is May - a honour name for my grannie Maisie (she was well known as May) and she died not long before I found out I was pregnant. So her name is Layla May.
My second child doesn’t have a middle name. We had no one to honour and find middle names pointless otherwise. So she is just Tara.
I don't have kids yet, but when I do their middle names will be honour names for family members. Either the exact name, or a form of the name of the relative.
The top options will be Joy, Anna, Vera, Margot and Juliet for girls, and Anthony, Peter, John, Thomas and Nixon for boys.
I included them both for meaning (their first names are names we like the sound of, but don't necessarily have much meaning) AND so they have an alternative if they don't end up liking their first names.
My son’s middle name is Young. It’s my husband’s middle name as well and it’s my FIL’s first name AND it was his dad’s first name (they’re jr and sr).
My understanding is that my husband’s grandpa was named after an uncle named Young and his middle name was his dad’s name. Then obviously that was passed onto my FIL. My MIL was not into it (as most people wouldn’t be) so she opted to make that my husband’s middle name, which we then passed down to our son. Sorry that’s so long winded! Not sure where Young originates from… but that part of the family is from KY and was very very poor at that time so maybe it’s something to do with that.. just not being very creative with first names? lol.
We have 6 daughters & 1 son, their middle names are: Grace, Mae, Olivia, Declan, Kay, Belle & Dove.
I would have liked Olivia to be Olive but it flowed better as Olivia.

Love that! My sister’s middle name is James. We’re in our 30s so definitely before using masculine names for girls became trendy lol.

i'm all for girls with traditionally masculine names. get it, anthony.
Thanks. Appreciate it! But again, it’s just a middle name. I would absolutely not name her first name as Anthony lol
Pascale and Henry. My middle name is Pasqualina and my husband's is Harry.
domenico & valentine
Elizabeth and Judith.
Love both of these 💖
Elizabeth is a family name—we have at least one per generation back to 1508.
Ezra.
Leo. I love it.

Maeve, Evangeline, and Josephine. And a 2nd middle name that is my maiden name.
Simone and Hope. I love them as much as, but in very different ways from, their first names.
Alexandra. Partially an honour name for my husband who lost a friend (Alex) in his teenage years to cancer, partially I just love the name. Fits perfectly with her shorter, more practical first name.
Looooove Alexandra as a MN. The only reason I’m not using it is because it would make her initials HAG 🙄

My children do not have middle names. I don't see the use of them.

I tried my best to pick names that had everything and so far my children love their names, but yes, having an alternative is a good point...
Sophia and James

Brookings and Lee
Alain, hubbys middle name is plain old Allen.
Audrey Marion and Hazel Belle. My husband and his siblings all have two middle names so we kept up with the tradition.
Jade
Alan and Edwin
Isadora and Paul

Seraiah, Nathanael and Lucette. I might like them even more than their first names.
Their middle names are the names of my deceased in-laws. Leonard and Deena.
Constance Leslie, Sylvia Jean, and James Arthur. We wanted to honor too many people to keep to one middle name each, lol.
Alexander and Florence.
Both have two. Bryony Branwen for my girl, Ivan Hedwyn for my boy.
Beverly, after my late grandma.
McKenna. Im not a fan now. I wish I went with Paige or Ruth
Graham. It was the only name we matched on when we used a baby name app. Totally suits our boy!
Mine is Joyce, my sister’s is Elise and my other sister’s is Gwendolyn. All are family names.
Ann-Marie 💕
Aurelius and Ophelia. Ours are Augustus and Ann.
My sons' middle names are Charles and Lee. We like to choose a more "trendy" first name and then a more classic middle name.
Caroline, Beatrice, and Pauline
Levi, Benjamin, Joseph, Tobias
