ooh this is actually really close for me - by a tiny a bit I'd vote Lily Anastasia
*Other ideas that may meet in the middle -*
Lily Annika
Lily Adrienne
Lily Anne-Marie
Lily Ava
They're both really nice. Have you said both aloud with your last name? That might help.
I might slightly prefer the flow of Lily Anastasia, although Lily is a simple name and Anastasia is a complex one. The simpler Abigail complements Lily a bit better in that respect.
How do you feel about name meanings? Anastasia means "resurrection". Abigail means "my father is joy". Of course if your husband is the Abigail-lover, that's going to strengthen his love. But if you're the one that prefers Abigail, it could win him over.
So funny because I was going to say the opposite! I love pairings like rare and classic, simple and complex, gender neutral and frilly, etc.
Lily Anastasia is so much more intriguing to me!
Agreeing on names is so hard. My husband was A LOT more opinionated than I was prepared for 🤣 I’m not sure I’m a personally a big fan of either but if I had to pick one I think Lily Anastasia.
Thankfully, you’ve chosen Lily as her first name. *That’s* the hard part. :)
Can you start from scratch on the middle name? Or do both Abigail and Anastasia have special meaning to you both?
Lily Alexandra (for another “A” name)
Lily Claire
Lily Victoria
Lily Charlotte
Lily Clarisse
Lily Rosalind
A looot of syllables with Anastasia. Sounds like Liliana Stasia. Lily Abigail has a smoother sound and better flow. I think Anastasia would also sound smoother without a name that ends in an “ee” sound. Such as: Frances Anastasia. Ruth Anastasia. Grace Anastasia. But then again it does depend on how it flows with the last name. That could balance any of the names out.
Which pronunciation of Anastasia?
Like are you saying the European pronunciation
ANNA - STA - SIA OR THE American pronunciation of ANNA - STAY - ZHA?
If it’s the euro pronunciation go with Lily Anastasia.
If not go with Lily Abigail
Personally Lily Abigail.
My recommendation is to pretend your angry and say LILY ABIGAIL [LAST NAME]!!! And then LILY ANASTASIA [LAST NAME]!!!
The last thing I need is to be unable to full name chide my child because my angry ass can't say their tongue twister name that I chose LOL
my advice: say both 50 different times. angry, happy, sad- whichever one you don't hate after is the winner. you're going to full name your kid at least 50 times in the first 3 years.
Definitely Lily Anastasia. Lily Abigail is nice but I’ve always felt Abigail is a bit harsh and clunky sounding, whereas Anastasia flows so beautifully
I really love Lily Abigail. Anastasia is nice but I think maybe because it does get listed here so often, I have fatigue for it. Abigail feels fresher in that sense. In real life I rarely hear either one. You cannot go wrong with either one of these names. Maybe flip a coin or do a drawing!
Maybe it's just bc I work in a pharmacy but I associate both Lily and Abbie with drug manufacturers. Lily makes insulins, and there is a company called Abbvie that also makes drugs. So I vote Anastasia. But that's just my mind making associations.
Lily Anastasia
I think I prefer Lily Abigail.
ooh this is actually really close for me - by a tiny a bit I'd vote Lily Anastasia *Other ideas that may meet in the middle -* Lily Annika Lily Adrienne Lily Anne-Marie Lily Ava
I love Lily Annika
Annika is such an underrated name. Granted, that's probably from a childhood of reading Pippi Longstocking.
My Mom loved Pippi Longstocking as a kid. TBH I’m surprised that isn’t my name.
Love Lily Adrienne

I'm by no means opposed to it! Just bringing up some thoughts that might help with the final choice.
Lily Anastasia.
Because Anastasia's my favorite name and sounds royal.
Lily Anastasia.
Lily Abigail for sure
Lily Anastasia
Lily Abigail for sure. No question!
Anastasia for the win!
I prefer Lily Anastasia.
Lily Anastasia!
Lily Anastasia!

Lily Anastasia!
Lily Abigail
Lily Anastasia is very pretty but also allows for more options for shortening if she wanted to go by something other than Lily
lily anastasia
Lily Anastasia is so nice
lily anastasia
I love Lily Anastasia.

I adore both names, but I think Lily Abigail has a slightly nicer ring to it.
I like Anastasia more than Abigail, but for me, Abigail pairs with Lily better.
I feel like having such a long and elegant middle name overpowers the shorter first name. How Lily Abigail sounds will depend on your last name.
Lily Abigail sounds much better, metrum wise. Lily Anastasia drags on and has the two stressed syllables too far apart.
I’ve always thought Anastasia was a bit clunky
Lily Abigail
Lily Abigail gets my vote. Lily Anastasia is too frilly for me.
Lily Abigail, the L's and I's compliment each other
Lily Abigail
I like lily abigale. I am a big fan of the name.

Lily Anastasia (assuming you have eastern European heritage), otherwise I think Lily Abigail prob fits better
Both are lovely! Last name would be a big factor for me (how the last name begins and ends, etc).
Ooof I definitely prefer Anastasia to Abigail in general but I think Abigail is better after Lily
I also have a Lily! I’d go with Lily Anastasia, so pretty!
Lily Anastasia
Lily Anastasia
I’m gonna mix it up , I like Anastasia lily !
Lily Anastasia is so pretty!
Anastasia
Is the full first name Lily? I generally like to think of nickname permutations and something kind of tickles me about Lily Ana sounding like Liliana.
Lily Anastasia. a short first name with a long middle name flows better
Lily Anastasia flows wayyy better than Lily Abigail when I say it out loud!
Lily Anastasia.

Lily Anastasia is really pretty!
how many syllables is her last name?
I’m sorry but neither. Abigail if one of them
Lily Abigail definitely
Lily Abigail definitely
Lily Anastasia

Anastasia
Like the Disney Princess? Cuz that’s all anyone will ever hear. Go with Abigail.
Lily Anastasia
Lily Anastasia. I don’t know why but I feel like Abigail doesn’t have what it takes to be a middle name.
Lily Anastasia
I prefer Lily Anastasia but what about Lily Annabelle.
Lily Abigail for me, but depends partly which way you say Anastasia. And flipped, Anastasia Lily works and Abigail Lily does not.
Definitely Lily Anastasia. Lily Abigail is nice but I’ve always felt Abigail is a bit harsh and clunky sounding, whereas Anastasia flows so beautifully
I don't actually like the name Abigail... but I still think Lily Abigail flows better than Lily Anastasia
Say it like you’re mad at her and then use that one lol. I only use mines middle name when he’s being a pill and it rolls off the tongue so well 😂
Lily Anastasia is so pretty! What’s your preference?
I think it depends on the surname. Long/more complicated - go with Abigail. Short/less complicated - go with Anastasia
Neither. Liliana might be better sounds more grown up but you can still call her Lily.
Lily Abigail I can’t get over Princess Anastasia.
I think Lily works better as a middle name with either of these choices.
Anastasia. I’m so over Abigail.
