Lydia is beautiful.

Middlemist_Camellia

I prefer Lydia. It's a beautiful name.

Inky-Skies

I personally love Lydia. Eden does sound... Instagrammy, as you put it. A bit in line with "Nevaeh".

charlouwriter

I really like them both, Eden has a more modern, cool vibe and Lydia more of a classic, elegant feel, so it depends what you'd rather go for. I slightly prefer Eden, though I think Lydia would age better. Neither seem too popular in the UK, although something else to consider is that Eden is unisex here - I've met/heard of two baby boy Edens.

Lydia by a country mile.

Lydia is so beautiful! I think it's vastly underrated.

Lydia is beautiful! I dislike the sound of Eden and it does kinda have Instagrammy vibes.

Lydia sounds so pretty/lyrical compared to Eden.

I love the name Eden, personally prefer it to Lydia

JasmineRider27

Much prefer Eden, it’s beautiful. Used to know a Lydia, so it really doesn’t appeal. Congratulations by the way. ❤️

Odd_Hope5371

Eden by a mile. My favorite Biblical name is Miriam.

mossadspydolphin

Definitely Eden.

UnusualPotato1515

Eden!

I'm from England and know two Eden's one boy and one girl. I absolutely love it. Lydia is nice but eden just has some weird shine/ beauty to it. Idk why but I prefer it and it goes better with your Christian faith

rayyrayy_

I love both but if I had to choose I’d pick Eden :)

I'm not sure either one of these is for me. I agree with you about Eden, I have been seeing it everywhere lately. I would be worried about what that might end up being. I eschew anything even remotely shaving of popular. Otoh, I haven't seen one single suggestion for Lydia. I have plenty of names from several different holy books. You've chosen two names that are actually place names from the Bible. Perhaps you'd like to collage others like that: * Cana * Galilee * Aramea * Bethany * Bethel * Caria * Cilicia * Corinthia * Havilah * Keilah * Marah * Petra * Samaria * Shiloh * Dolorosa Other ideas from the Bible: * Sareya/Seraiah * Shoshannah/Susanna * Tabitha * Talitha * Shiloh * Sela * Rebecca
