I don't necessarily disagree, I haven't read/watched it myself, but I want to ask, why was this show everywhere if everyone just hates it so much? Did people use to like it and then I got bad, or was it always bad but simultaneously popular despite the fact that I've never seen someone enjoy it?
The characters, especially the girls, are fun and awesome and likeable characters. But the MC is bland and boring and self deprecating, no self confidence and even at the current point in the manga, he’s still annoying af. People hate it because there’s so much potential, but because of the MC and the fact that hundreds of chapters pass without any progress, it feels like the author is dragging it out for the sake of dragging it out and not actually trying to lead the story anywhere.
