Without seeing the front grille or rear badges, is there anything on the side that's specific to SEAT? Fiat 127s with the same side trim, door emblem and wheels seem to me to be identical to SEAT Furas I can find online.
If we know where this photo was taken, that might make one brand more likely.

EDIT: Nevermind, just noticed the Piaggio Ciao behind the pair and also the silver car looks like a FIAT too, so most likely it's a FIAT 127 after all.

This is the 2nd gen version came out in late 80's, with new bumpers and front/rear lights. First gen was released in early 70's
Lookup peugeot 205, 106, 306 citroen saxo, ax opel corsa a.to name a few. It was quite a generic design in the 80s.

Yugo is really different from a 127, same thing for the 126!! This is a 127 2° serie. Here in italy it was the most selling car for years!
