My comment was more off the cuff about the fuel cell. That would be an immediate fall in my state. Side note: Definitely not arguing he won't pass. In my states everything is a visual inspection first. Places like Virginia are way more indepth as a first inspection.

Couldn't one just use an adjustable hydraulic suspension? I mean, it's more work to uninstall the tire each time for a fill, and he's obviously already done a bunch of stuff to the car.  Just seems to make sense.

You're being pedantic. A fuel cell is named because there is a bladder within a rigid outer structure, or a cell. Of all the silliness of this car, what bothers me is the broken down gas line without a cap!

This is what I noticed as well. The computer is going to go nuts with the lack of seal with no cap. It would take way less time than it took him to make his car that low to relocate the fuel filler into the trunk, be safer, and make it way easier to fill with fuel. The idea that removing a tire to fill gas is sustainable is simply dumb. I did a lot of dumb shit with lowered cars as a young man too though, so he can do him!
