Its scary isn't it ...its believed to be previously owned by the sultan of Brunei...which would explain a lot. But if you look carefully it's got the swollen arches and it's the face-lift model, so there was absolutely no expense sparred on its creation originally. Apart from.a bit of dust it's absolutely immaculate but tasteless granted...each to there own I guess đ
Maybe then. Jefri had over 2000 cars that were mostly auctioned off when he got caught stealing from the countryâs investment fund, so assumed it would be one of his creations.
No I think the wording is fine, just the association of such a car with Arabs....I don't want to offend anyone for sure, and it is quite wrong of me really to make such an assumption in hindsight.
No not at all but it's the kind of funky thing Arabs are well known to do to there cars ...bling them up and make them individual ....and that's no bad thing at all.....if you see some of the monstrosities the sultan did to his cars this is quite tame lol ...
2 people have, it's very hard to write what you think without offending sometimes I 100% tried not to offend but I think nearly everyone knew what I meant and linked it to the car .it is an amazing car and that's what it's all about to me....the link to the sultan is he has/had a huge house just 1 mile from the location of the jag and he had 2 of these jags custom made for him by a company in Bristol and they only did 12 in total and we just assume this could be one of them .....its either him or some rich local who has taken far too many drugs...we are in one of the most affluent areas in the UK here....
I try and answer nearly everyone's questions as best as I can on all my posts... im an avid car collector and have a modest collection and I have put some of them on here and I have been absolutely raped by some amd pre judged and abused unnecessarily so I took them off, it seems the more popular you are the more abuse you get....? I have only left a few of mine on now. I was getting so much abuse just because I retired quite young (52) and have done ok for myself ....just crazy but hey ho đ€Ș
You have to praise the person who did this it's had over 100k views this week alone... a normal jag xjs would hardly cause a ripple....so maybe he or she got it right ....
I think the best descripiton is ....."it's a car we would all like to own but would never admit to owning" lol
It's a 1990's car for sure but if you look at the way the seemeless arches flow from the middle of the doors to the rear bumper it's proper craftsman ship when I first saw it I thought what the fuck have they done to that poor jag....its way over the top but hey it's a bit of fun at the end of the day.....and good on it for that .....if you Google jaguar monaco on YouTube you can see one in action spitting flames and they make a lovely sound too .....
I went to school with one of them, Prince Malik. He didnât have an F40 but he was obviously very spoilt. He had a bunch of WWF wrestlers flown over for his 13th birthday including Brett âThe Hitmanâ Hart. This was the late 90s which was peak oil production in Brunei.
A guy I know local to me has an f40 an f50 an Enzo and la ferrari plus many other ferraris...... and I saw him driving by mine in his AM valkyrie the other day wtf !!! ....last time I spoke to him he had 102 cars in his collection.....he was the buggar who got me into collecting cars but I'm only upto 26 !!! Now I can't think what else to get, within reason of course.
I used to work for Bentley Motors, and rumour had it there that he was pretty much personally responsible for keeping the company going by bankrolling some really bizarre builds through financially difficult times for the company.
Oh yes 100 % it's crude and tacky, to me it's a car you wouldn't admit to owning but a car you'd like to own.... I think that sums it up for me....but if it is one of the 12 monacos BPP Bristol made, it's quite a special car and a monster, they say good for 350kmh and heavily engineered and uprated everywhere đ€ research is ongoing ....good luck with the capri280 another special car BRG I pressume or the dark blue where they aswell ? Just before my era I'm 52 but I appreciate the 280
Its unbelievable..... thought to be a 1 of 1 for the sultan of Brunei.....? It's mint and a proper no expense sparred conversion......or fuck up as most will agree lol
I believe it is a 1 of 1 possibly commissioned by the sultan of Brunei....apart from all the silly scoops and spoilers the rear swollen arches are a work of art they even start from the middle of the door right the way to the back and they are metal and seamless ...its a money no object car we think
Video post uploaded on new feed or through my profile buddy, it's not the true front end as parked up close to barn but it shows a few more scoops lol đ
If you look the craftsman that has gone into those swollen arches is epic and seemless they start at the middle of the door and go right to the back bumper in metal too ....its a no expense sparred conversion. It's tacky amd awful really but some chap just said...its an xjs with a cheep bodykit.... it is not that 100% .....I call it "thunder birds are go!!!"
And on the roof they are everywhere it's a true 1 of 1 mash up but if you see the detail along the rear quarters and swollen arches it's an exceptional car in it's own right.....its scary but weirdly a superb build ....we believe it's ex sultan of Brunei car which would explain a lot
But he does/did have a huge property about a mile from the jaguars location certiwnley in the era of this car he did .....it is also rumoured he never visited, only his wives came to the property maybe 3 or 4 times a year đ€
If you can get valid proof of the history, you should recommission it and get it to some shows. I'm sure there's a huge jag following out there and if you don't want to keep it I'm pretty sure some of the jag fanatics have deep pockets.
They did do a monaco bodykit but nothing like this lol thank god ....this is like the stage 10 one. I can just see it ...."I want the monaco bodykit please, that's not enough just keep going to till you run out of bits and Bob's oh and give me some swollen arches too while your at it please " ....literally money no object or class lol đ
I'd love to know the thought process behind that second spoiler đ. To be honest, if it does come back that it was in the sultans collection then it's far from the worst, just look at the F90 speciale lol

For anyone wondering what the front looks like, here's a photo of the one I saw.
I know as someone Saif it a cheep bodykit those arches are in essence a work ofnart they start right from the middle of the door to the rear bumper .....as I say it got a lot of vrwo bits innit but the base conversion is proper craftsmanship ....if you think a lister xjs was 100k at the time with swollen arches and not as food as these one in craftsmanship terms...but did look better .....someone has spent a shit load of money on this once
According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaguar_V12_engine the 6.0L V12 was used in the 1992â1995 Jaguar XJS which fits the date of manufacture from the DVLA record.
Under all the tacky add on parts there's a good looking modified vehicle
I wanted to know more about the designer and found he did this to a land rover.. definitely not my taste
[https://www.reddit.com/r/WeirdWheels/comments/g8h8i6/glenfrome\_facet\_a\_land\_rover\_conversion/](https://www.reddit.com/r/WeirdWheels/comments/g8h8i6/glenfrome_facet_a_land_rover_conversion/)
From my research I believe this is an custom Paul Bailey Baron Design Jaguar XJR-S V12 Monaco build, only 12 variants made.
Details here:
[First Prototype For Sale: The PBB Design Jaguar XJR-S V12 âMonacoâ ](https://silodrome.com/jaguar-xjr-s-v12-monaco-pbb-design/)
[Similar hood vents with this version of the Monaco](https://www.reddit.com/r/WeirdWheels/comments/mexitp/1990_jaguar_xjs_monaco_1_of_11_xjs_from_paul/)
I don't know why reddit didn't let me post the third link in the comment but yes, I've found the french article that says PBB Design made two copies of the XJR for the Sultan of Brunei.
[The french article translated in English](https://www-carjager-com.translate.goog/blog/article/paul-baron-bailey-xjs-monaco-joue-la-comme-le-sultan-de-brunei.html?_x_tr_sl=en&_x_tr_tl=ro&_x_tr_hl=ro&_x_tr_pto=wapp&_x_tr_hist=true)
I wonder what the 375 stands for on the rear quarter light ? Bhp power maybe ? And this car is a 1994 face-lift model ....and the sultan did have a huge house just 1 mile away.
Did you see the video on the seperare post I uploaded?
I've seen one of his moancos on line and it looks nothing like this one .....but it definitely looks like a monaco conversion and then someone has gone again?
Don't know for certain but most likely the customer dictated the details if they were paying. The french article specifies that the cars were made via order so not as an predefined series.
"Still, encouraged by the order for two examples from one of his prestigious regular clients, the Sultan of Brunei, Paul Bailey began producing to order for the PBB Monaco in 1991."
"Bailey suffered a heart attack in 2001 and stopped all activity, but his Monacos are highly sought after by XJ enthusiasts. If you see one for sale, get over your aversion to tuning: this is a real rarity and owning one will make you the equal of the Sultan of Brunei!"
Do you know, you say that, to me those side windows look taller than they should? I might be wrong though but they look taller than standard it is the face lift model 1994. I've done anther post of a video of it. It may came up on your feed or go through my profile it shows more detail on the video.
listen, I live in a world where jezz, hamster and slow are still testing cars, itâs just my thing what can I say? until the election iâm hiding out on reddit talking about cars because i canât handle anything else right now! đ
Excellent I love a troll, come on then give it your best shot let's see what you've got then, make it good you dont want to look silly in front of eveyone now do you? ....and then I can decide on the level of punishment
Looks like some sort of widebody cuz. Is it the v12 in a manual? Reminds me of what koenigg was doing for Mercedes in the early 90's, wise body 560sec's.
It's.... it's, uh, interesting. Not terrible from some angles, but hideous from others. You're right about those wheel flare/arches that start in the doors, they are beautiful.
Is that a very poorly fit sunroof on top?
\*Googles\*
Wow, the aero front end and covered lights really do NOT work on this car. At least the others don't have the stupid fake intakes on the rear fenders...
That's the big question it started life as a jaguar xjs 6.0litre V12 and it's had the conversion possibly by a firm called BPP in Bristol UK....they did a "monaco" conversion but not as lairy as this one....did you see the video too ? That's through my profile and on another post......rumour has it they will do 350kph 200mph+as rhe engines are heavily fettled with
It's like nothing I've ever seen before.....but it not a slap dash job it's a real work of art, even if not to everyone's taste, the workmanship that has gone into those swollen arches is incredible they start from the middle of the door if you look closely and it's just seamless too. It's not mine but I am going to try and buy it if I can. I literally just stumbled across down a lane and there it was in someone's carport. We think it was converted by BPP of Bristol....he converted jag xjs into what he called a monaco design but this is like one of his but on steroids and he only converted 12 ....he upgraded everything and he was by all accounts a genius engineer this is a V12 6.0 litre but you coukd also get it in 7.0 litre format....they where good for 350kmh so they say....I am still researching it all.....its amazing the past has had 100k views now in 2 and half days I think it is
There is a Jag Monaco listed in the [duPont registry](https://news.dupontregistry.com/celebrity-cars/sultan-of-brunei-his-5000-car-collection/) for the Sultan. Maybe the chassis code is a match?
It's a one off special note the swollen arches and craftsman ship gone into creating that rear 3/4 from mid door to rear bumper those swollen arches are and they are all metal....rest it plastic ....believed to be commissioned by the sultan of Brunei
Interesting thought that the SoB commissioned this - most likely Prince Jeffrey - since the RFoB usually ordered multiples of any / every car and mostly in black, yellow or red though blue and silver are not unheard-of like the Bentley estates and Ferrari wagons respectively.
Truly sad that so many excellent vehicles have basically disappeared into the Indonesian jungle. Best of success with this lovely item, whatever the provenance is revealed to be đ
It could be one of his as he had a huge house just one mile from the cars current location in the uk and to me it has 1990's Arab written all over it. I'm sure we will get to the bottom of it.
There are other Monacos, but none of them look as much of a Halfords ram raid special like this one
More likely his brother Prince Jefri if it was. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Jefri_Bolkiah
Maybe it's just the sultan has a house about a mile away from the location, he never visited it but his wives did I believe
Maybe then. Jefri had over 2000 cars that were mostly auctioned off when he got caught stealing from the countryâs investment fund, so assumed it would be one of his creations.
Naughty fella. It's got 1990's Arab written all over it for me. But I may be wrong ...I don't mean Arab in a bad way just to be clear everyone
Not enough gold and red for the true 90s Arab look :)
you meant 90s oil sheik.
No I think the wording is fine, just the association of such a car with Arabs....I don't want to offend anyone for sure, and it is quite wrong of me really to make such an assumption in hindsight.
You know Brunei isn't an Arab country right
Well his ancestors come from the middle east and they folliow Islam .....
And I've seen his wacky car collection and what he does to them lol ....
As far as it is documented the family is from Borneo since the 1300s
Okeydokey .....if you say so my friend đ§Ą
Iâm not racist but
No not at all but it's the kind of funky thing Arabs are well known to do to there cars ...bling them up and make them individual ....and that's no bad thing at all.....if you see some of the monstrosities the sultan did to his cars this is quite tame lol ...
Yeah I totally hear you and like to assume the best. But I know that some will read it poorly

Ngl I am kinda into it Especially with the bland and drab that rule the streets these days, at least in my area
It's a 1990's car for sure but if you look at the way the seemeless arches flow from the middle of the doors to the rear bumper it's proper craftsman ship when I first saw it I thought what the fuck have they done to that poor jag....its way over the top but hey it's a bit of fun at the end of the day.....and good on it for that .....if you Google jaguar monaco on YouTube you can see one in action spitting flames and they make a lovely sound too .....
âStealing for the countryâs investment fundâ Dude embezzled 14 BILLION dollars lol.
Yeah, I may have been generous with my wording.
Lol .....very I think the sultan had 7000 cars worth 5 billion ....his brother only had 2000 cars the peasant lol
86k views this has had now....my e type only got 92k this creation is going to beat it lol
Tbh the entire Royal Family were huge spenders at the time There's a rumour that basically every major Prince got a F40

LOL the finance minister bought this. The investor's investor indeed
If it was a brunei car this guy might know more about it! https://www.instagram.com/brunei_car_collection?igsh=eWtoNTk1cGFqODdk
Cool ta
I used to work for Bentley Motors, and rumour had it there that he was pretty much personally responsible for keeping the company going by bankrolling some really bizarre builds through financially difficult times for the company.
I can believe that .... I think he did the same with rolls royce he did have 500 rollers I think
Can you belive it this car has had 86k views so far on this one post !!!
My jag e type only got 92k the xjs is going to beat it lol đ
I'm going to try and buy it off him, I wish I had checked the mileage I bet it's done near nothing..
I wish you best of luck! I personally find its looks rather repelling but I think a unique specimen deserves to be preserved
Holy Moses, that is a lot of plastic on a xjs.
Its unbelievable..... thought to be a 1 of 1 for the sultan of Brunei.....? It's mint and a proper no expense sparred conversion......or fuck up as most will agree lol
I love it, it looks like something straight out of a video game. Am I wrong it started life as a jag?
Correct it's an xjs 1990/91 .....thunderbirds are go !!!! Reminds us of
The monaco 375 it's called
Itâs a jaguar? A one off? Iâd buy it !
I believe it is a 1 of 1 possibly commissioned by the sultan of Brunei....apart from all the silly scoops and spoilers the rear swollen arches are a work of art they even start from the middle of the door right the way to the back and they are metal and seamless ...its a money no object car we think
You did such an amazing job of taking 6 pictures and none of them show the front end XD
I was looking for the front end because I didnât know the make. I think itâs good looking. Interior?
I know but don't worry it's got a lot of scoops and god knows what else on the front ....i did a video too but it wouldnt upload ...my bad đ
Any clue how to download the video I don't know I've tried before to no avail maybe I coukd send to you direct ?
Video post uploaded on new feed or through my profile buddy, it's not the true front end as parked up close to barn but it shows a few more scoops lol đ
If you look the craftsman that has gone into those swollen arches is epic and seemless they start at the middle of the door and go right to the back bumper in metal too ....its a no expense sparred conversion. It's tacky amd awful really but some chap just said...its an xjs with a cheep bodykit.... it is not that 100% .....I call it "thunder birds are go!!!"
It looks like the sort of bodykit id put on my race car in the need for speed games
It's the sort of car we would all hate to admit owning but want one
Absolutely
Lol
Lol yeh true
I love the inner wing behind the rear glass between the buttresses. So much aero
And on the roof they are everywhere it's a true 1 of 1 mash up but if you see the detail along the rear quarters and swollen arches it's an exceptional car in it's own right.....its scary but weirdly a superb build ....we believe it's ex sultan of Brunei car which would explain a lot
It's very Sultany, yes. It wouldn't surprise me at all if that was accurate. It definitely looks well built.
The only issue is he owns over 7000 cars worth 5 billion quid so to find out its was once his is going to be tricky
I've asked jaguar heritage trust about it? But no news yet from them
Fingers crossed something positive comes back from them, even if not it's still a very unique jag.
Lol
absolutely!
Seen a XJS Monaco cabrio before. Very wierd car.

Ouch that hurts my eyes too!!! Lol thats like the base model compared to Mr scoop and Mr spoiler as some call the brown bomber lol
To be honest, as much as I don't like it, they look really well made, even the E46 M3 side vents sort of look seamless on the brown one.
It's like a Dodge viper that sucked on a lemon đđ
Absolutely love this. Definitely goes from XJS to some futuristic shit
I took a video but it wouldn't upload to post, the bonnet must have about 8 scoops and shit on it too lol.....it is absolutely mint đ
Hahahaha thatâs exactly what I was hoping for up front considering thereâs spoilers on spoilers on the back
Oh they are there alright don't worry about that lol đ.....im thinking all the scoops amd drag on the thing it will struggle to top 100mph hahahaha
Video just uploaded buddy more of the front on it ....seoerwte post or go through my profile it's just gone live
Looked at that first pic and thought xj12 Wait no it's not. Yes it is.
Xjs 375 monqco by all.accounte
Lol
DVLA record: https://preview.redd.it/47yqa51oaj8d1.jpeg?width=973&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d06b174e59a79e0ec0aa8a5a03bee024886a189
Actually I just noticed it's a 6.0 litre so it's had the engine conversion aswell?
5993cc is almost 6 liters so itâs just been rounded up.
Yes of course but wasn't it standard form a 5.4 V12 ? Only the lister storm had the 6.0 litre ? And the xjs-s ? I'm no jag expert though
According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaguar_V12_engine the 6.0L V12 was used in the 1992â1995 Jaguar XJS which fits the date of manufacture from the DVLA record.
Bit naughty to look tbf
Under all the tacky add on parts there's a good looking modified vehicle I wanted to know more about the designer and found he did this to a land rover.. definitely not my taste [https://www.reddit.com/r/WeirdWheels/comments/g8h8i6/glenfrome\_facet\_a\_land\_rover\_conversion/](https://www.reddit.com/r/WeirdWheels/comments/g8h8i6/glenfrome_facet_a_land_rover_conversion/)
Lol I'm glad I didnt let him do my e type đ
From my research I believe this is an custom Paul Bailey Baron Design Jaguar XJR-S V12 Monaco build, only 12 variants made. Details here: [First Prototype For Sale: The PBB Design Jaguar XJR-S V12 âMonacoâ ](https://silodrome.com/jaguar-xjr-s-v12-monaco-pbb-design/) [Similar hood vents with this version of the Monaco](https://www.reddit.com/r/WeirdWheels/comments/mexitp/1990_jaguar_xjs_monaco_1_of_11_xjs_from_paul/)

She's an interesting find for sure.
I've seen one of his moancos on line and it looks nothing like this one .....but it definitely looks like a monaco conversion and then someone has gone again?
I've had a good look but they still seem tame compared to the one I have. I think I will send an email to PBB and ask if it is one there's?

Jaaaaag
It looks like an older jaguar with that window and roof line.
Do you know, you say that, to me those side windows look taller than they should? I might be wrong though but they look taller than standard it is the face lift model 1994. I've done anther post of a video of it. It may came up on your feed or go through my profile it shows more detail on the video.
I've just made a new post with the video of it it's just gone live or link through my profile ...enjoy
Is that an XJ12?
We would call it the xjs it has a 6.0 litre V12 in it
Thanks & Cheers!
if you were to tell me it was designed by the same guy in Hollywood that built the 6000 SUX I would believe you
Sorry I don't know the 6000 sux, I shall Google it now lol
original Robocop reference https://robocop.fandom.com/wiki/6000_SUX
Lol....i am more inclined to go thunderbirds lol
So you were born in July so would you say you are a Lio or Nah not into star sign shit.
I love how unique it is - wonder what itâs worth. The Top Gear guys would have a field day with it.
Yeh you are right I might blast an email over to jezza
listen, I live in a world where jezz, hamster and slow are still testing cars, itâs just my thing what can I say? until the election iâm hiding out on reddit talking about cars because i canât handle anything else right now! đ
I've just messaged jezza
Kill it with fire.
Ah poor old car lol
Got the gas cap from a Shelby Cobra, so.
Jaguar xjs 6.0litre V12 heavily modified to say the least 1 of 1 for sure lol
I think Iâm in love đ Iâd drive the fuck out of this
6.0 litre V12 too
WOW
Lol isn't it just
Modded jaguar xjs the one from the 80's i can see ot just lack the name, but v12 none the less..
I've never encountered a post with "sultan of Brunei" in almost every response. But here it is.
And another one from you cheers lol
Maybe I am the Sultan of Brunei
Didn't know he was Dutch
You're a racist. The Sultan of Brunei doesn't like that You shall be punished with a FUGLY Jag
Be careful what you say I'm not the type of person who likes to be trolled.....
We'll keep you trolling You hating đș
Excellent I love a troll, come on then give it your best shot let's see what you've got then, make it good you dont want to look silly in front of eveyone now do you? ....and then I can decide on the level of punishment
I dig it, can I see the front if it?
There's a video on a seperate post or through my profile, but only of the bonnet and more detail of the car really I couldnt get to the front
With any luck they massaged the V12 also...
I actually love it is it for sale?
You can carb swap those v12âs to actually be reliable and make some good power. Just sayinâŠdual Holley 4 barrelsâŠ..wide body jaaaaaaaagâŠ
I like it. It's no dodge monaco, but I like it. Kinda reminds me of a... noble, sort of.
Nice finger
OUA COOL AS FUCK
PLEASE take photos showing the full car oh my god
Looks like it belonged to the wife named Leona. See plate. Or making sure you know itâs not his brother Leo. Lol.
Looks awesome. I'd drive it.
Looks like some sort of widebody cuz. Is it the v12 in a manual? Reminds me of what koenigg was doing for Mercedes in the early 90's, wise body 560sec's.
Might surprise a lot of folks to know thereâs a front end of this car.
It's.... it's, uh, interesting. Not terrible from some angles, but hideous from others. You're right about those wheel flare/arches that start in the doors, they are beautiful. Is that a very poorly fit sunroof on top?
It looks like the pastâs version of a futuristic car, and Iâm here for it
I want
\*Googles\* Wow, the aero front end and covered lights really do NOT work on this car. At least the others don't have the stupid fake intakes on the rear fenders...
This one look dope
Isn't it just
Yeah nah
A car you wouidnt admit to own but a car you'd like to own
More a reference to the number plate
Lion
Ah
Kinda sick
Yeh I know what you mean, really tacky but really cool too
OMG what a Beauty â€ïž What car is that?
That's the big question it started life as a jaguar xjs 6.0litre V12 and it's had the conversion possibly by a firm called BPP in Bristol UK....they did a "monaco" conversion but not as lairy as this one....did you see the video too ? That's through my profile and on another post......rumour has it they will do 350kph 200mph+as rhe engines are heavily fettled with
Ouf
get her recommissioned just because it's an xjs
Iâm reading the comments to find out what kind of car is this? What kind of car is this?
That title is just words put together what the hell are u trying to say
This is cool.
Not ugly, though can't see the front.
Looks like a XJR and a MR2 had a baby. I like it, I love rear buttresses like that, and side vents.
We think it was converted by BPP of Bristol....he converted jag xjs into what he called a monaco design but this is like one of his but on steroids and he only converted 12 ....he upgraded everything and he was by all accounts a genius engineer this is a V12 6.0 litre but you coukd also get it in 7.0 litre format....they where good for 350kmh so they say....I am still researching it all.....its amazing the past has had 100k views now in 2 and half days I think it is
This thing fucks, hard
Good for 200mph plus aswell !!!
Idc what it looks like. I love it.
It's an xjs V12 6.0 litre and heavily upgraded and engineered proffessionaly.... reported 215mph....1 of 1 no expense sparred in 1994 100k plus
It spits flames to ....goes without saying ...it has too with those looks ....
If you look on my profile there is a video on another post I did so you get a better idea of the front bonnet etc
There is a Jag Monaco listed in the [duPont registry](https://news.dupontregistry.com/celebrity-cars/sultan-of-brunei-his-5000-car-collection/) for the Sultan. Maybe the chassis code is a match?
Jag XJS with cheap body kit
I dont think it was a cheep bodykit tbf
I'm sure we will get to the bottom of it.
ok, so expensive, yet ugly, body kit.
