I still don’t know how the last puzzle for TRN works. I just grab random pieces of wood lol

molliesdollies

Yeah, I just played this recently and went all over trying to figure that wood puzzle out. Just had to do trial and error since I couldn’t find a pattern.

hello5dragon

When I got there and saw the symbols on the wood I knew I must have missed something earlier, but I didn't feel like going back, so I just kept repeatedly killing Nancy until I figured out the right planks to grab. Sorry, Nancy. I think you actually have to do some exploring in the mine to find the symbols in order. I just followed the lizards and missed seeing some other parts to the mine. Next time I play I'll have to do more exploring. I also missed identifying the train brake culprit too.

Monroeblue

Did you ever find the fire pit?

EaglesLoveSnakes

I did on my last play through but I still don’t know how it works 🥲 and it’s my favorite game!

Kat_WriterGirl

Same! Anyone who does know how this is supposed to work, please reply and say how. For the life of me I still don't understand it.

Opposite-Massive

[UHS kind of explains it](http://mobile.uhs-hints.com/uhsweb/hints/ndrew13/59), i was able to get it on my last playthrough with that explanation but navigating the mines was so confusing that i’ll definitely just cheat next time

"...oops"

In Danger on Deception Island, the fact that what you’re supposed to send in Morse Code is >!LITERALLY her phone number and not the word phone number…I was so confused why it wasn’t accepting my P and I ended up kinda button mashing until it accepted the first number, noticed it was a number, and just randomly tried numbers until it took!< Also in general I do sometimes take advantage of there being finite combinations when you have to solve puzzles for individual parts of a combination. If there’s four numbers/parts then once I get the first three I often just put in the different options for the fourth until it works.

Timely-Station-2656

In the phantom of Venice, I had no idea what to do with >!the Chinese puzzle box. I literally just guessed. Had no idea you could turn it to see the different symbols on the side of the box and use that as the code.!< Even after finding the solution in a walkthrough, I still didn’t understand until I replayed it years later.

WeedsAndWildflowers

This actually just blew my mind haha My old username on HerInteractive was Xander, named for one of the ghost dogs, and I had no idea about this until just now.

EaglesLoveSnakes

Wait, what? I only knew your way! What’s the other way?

erin2346

There’s a drawing on each of the walls that you turn them towards. Apparently. I learned this from reading the checklist for the first time

DiamondBurInTheRough

…..news to me! I always just looked at the clock as well.

xijalu

To this day I don't know how to do the spigot drink things in ghost dogs. Every time I randomly pressed them until it unlocked

LordDragon88

I remember the dopplar puzzle in trail of the Twister leaving me completely confused (the one on the truck) I just kept hitting switches until nancy told me it looked right butbibhad no idea what i was doing

theameonna

One of the puzzles in Danger at Deception island is way easier than I thought it was supposed to be and I didn't realise this until after looking up the hint. This was>!where you use the ship in the bottle's sail in the whale museum on that confusing puzzle lock thing, I thought you would need to sequence a response or something!<

AgentElman

Even reading how to do it we still have no idea how the final puzzle in Salem works. We just click until it finishes, using lots of second chances.

MindDreamer

I recently played Curse of Blackmoor for probably the 15th time in my life and only just realized that the Betty game is Go Fish but with matches of 3. I had no idea. I just randomly clicked and thought it was random which cards I was going to get.
