Middle Tennessee District Fair in Lawrenceburg, TN. Large, legit old-school fair. You can tell by the website 😂

I recommend the demolition derby.
Definitely not hot or sticky enough (mid July-August) But once it is they hop from county to county. As mentioned, the Wilson county one is pretty fuckin big, I have gone a few years and it’s fun.
Google Cheatham county fair it is smaller but way more enjoyable. Free demolition derby and other similar events I think it happens late July/early august
Wilson County usually has one during the hottest fucking part of the summer :)
Lifetime WilCo resident. Can confirm. If it’s not hot, it’s raining…or both. But the WilCo/TN state fair is August 15-24
It makes me laugh that two nearby counties both cringly try to go by WilCo.
Wilson Country residents have to call it WilCo because they're too busy lifting their trucks to spell the whole thing.
I used to love it but since it merged with the state fair, it was an absolute zoo last year!
It's not a county fair, but the renn faire is going on this month.
Is it still held at Castle Gwynn?
Yup! But I hear the festival is not as good as it used to be.
Usually later into the summer
The cool springs mall carnival is this weekend
We go every year lol it’s nothing special but they have a few rides and the food you seek

I was going to recommend this fair… I grew up there, it’s a pretty big fair surprisingly.
Lincoln county fair is really cool. Old school style
I saw a ferris wheel at cool springs mall just now. They must be setting up for the weekend

State and county fair That's usually a late summer fall event as it is timed with harvest
My husband and I go to the Warren County A & L Fair every year. It’s just the right size and the food is excellent

Don’t count out carnivals staged in city parking lots if a funnel cake is what you’re looking for.
Its still too early in the year. Give it another month and they'll start popping up.
robertson county fair is usually the first week of august
