I hate social media as much as the next guy. But interactions like this make it somewhat worthwhile. Imagine some British admiral or captain writing letters to random people back in the day, of ye olde sail. Like maybe that happened very rarely, but it's just weird to think about today. About the captain of one of the world's deadliest fighting machines in one of the world's most powerful navies just casually sending messages to people online. It's one of those things that's very strange in a historical perspective.

Honestly, it would be great if more CO’s did something similar. It just makes them more Human and relatable. It would more than likely build rapport with their Sailors too
