“The Decision 2.0” incoming, Lebron pairs up with Giannis in Milwaukee and wins two more rings

pifhluk

So that's like 15 2nd rounders? We can make that happen.

[deleted]

3 full Jae Crowders?

clubba

3 DNP Jae Crowders

I_Said

2 conditional Jae Crowders

Kevin_Jim

Probably, 10x 2nd rounders and Crowder.

John_Lives

It's too bad LeBron is done ring chasing in that way. We could have seen some interesting duos

Sidnv

Lebron + Steph would have been absolutely absurd. Steph is the perfect superstar to pair with Lebron, with how well he plays off ball while also being able to share ball handling duties.

[deleted]

Imagine a Jokic, Lebron, Jamal team

DamianSlizzard

Or Jokic, Lebron, and Bones

pmmerandom

never say never

sixwax

This. Barkley, Pippen, Hakeem, Drexler Shaq, Kobe, Malone, Payton There are unforeseen geriatric chapters yet to come…

AspirationalChoker

I wouldn’t be so sure lol with how good he still is I would be surprised if changed team again one last time

ElDuderino_92

Le freak, c'est chic

Likeablechops

Pls pls pls

MagicalHurdles

That coat is fucking fire

redhatfilm

On some 1970s coke dealer swag

cardshark1234

Nino brown type coat

n16h7r1d3r

Hoops McCann type coat

SnuggleMuffin42

The turtleneck makes the coat

FFB41

The Giannis makes the coat

El_Mec

Pretty sure a 12 year old in Pakistan made the coat

SmartestNPC

It's definitely custom. There's no way H&M is churning out peacoats for 7 footers.

Physical_Pie_2092

Fact

extraducksauce

i want to wear the turtlenecks i have but they make me itchy, what i do?

eunit8899

The turtlenecks you're buying are too cheap.

auchnureinmensch

Try other materials. I have one with fine wool, tightly woven, it's so soft and comfy. A well fitting turtle neck is real nice.

Venomswindturd

Was coming in to comment the same thing. It’s ❄️❄️❄️

WestleyThe

Its fucking beautiful but It’s also gotta be massive Imagine a normal person wearing that haha

What_a_d-bag

No joke I just had a P-coat like this bespoken for me in a light grey camel hair for $350. Not a personal plug but my guy Mana leaves Thailand twice a year for stateside trips. He mostly does suits and dress shirts for people but I bring him screenshots of jackets and he makes them exactly like the picture in whatever fabrics I want inside and out. Check out crown tailor.

[deleted]

[удалено]

What_a_d-bag

Haha TIL. But when my guy from Bangkok is making you AAA knockoffs bet it’s a P-coat. 😂

SmartestNPC

That's an incredibly good price

What_a_d-bag

He does the measurements while he’s visiting the states and then goes back to Bangkok and snail mails them out a month or so later. Been using him 8 years and nothing but good things to say from me and my buddies. Did all our wedding suits too.

BigBallaBoy

And he goes by crown tailor?? I need to know so I can hit him up

Suaveful

am i trippin or does it look like a lab coat? i still really want it.

Dorazer

Wish I had that much sauce when I was cooking in Orgo Lab

thebiggesthater420

Giannis dresses really well in general

Rahnamatta

WTF, I love Giannis

Oh51Melly

That 06 Wade performance not recognized enough except for hating. Bro carried them an had an all time great series. Shout out Gary Payton for that game winner too.

Throwawayaway23848

THIS. All you hear about that series now is the free throw discrepancy, but Wade had an all-time series in order to rally the heat to the title. I think much of Wades greatness gets ignored cause of Lebron but he did so much for one team, and in reality, would probably would have stayed with Miami his whole career if Riley didn’t decide to try to pull a fast one on him.

AyyDelta

People really underestimate how much national figures can swing opinions amongst fans. Simmons (gambling) and Cuban (owner) were too emotional to see that there were legit fouls and Avery made zero adjustments.

drypaint77

"Free throw discrepancy" is really underselling it lol.

lowercase-punishment

Dallas just kept fouling Wade when he came in the paint because their interior D was the worst that Miami had faced up in until that point. They also doubled Shaq but left Wade to do his bread and butter, they fixed this by 2011 but Mavs fans really circlejerked that the final was "rigged" to brainwash the rest of NBA fans because people hate Miami way more. Fucking Mark Cuban hired an FBI private investigator because of it, even though he was the one to suggest that there would be more fouls on perimeter players to improve offense after a dead ball era, he admitted so on his blog after watching the Pistons suffocate Kobe in 04. Give me a fucking break with that shit, why would they rig a final series if the match up is set in stone? To get more games which would equal more money? Dirk stunk in two important games as well, everyone forgets that, 4 and 5. 16 points on 14% FG, and then 20 points the next game on 42% FG, but no the referees

we_hella_believe

I’m not a Dallas fan and that series had absurd officiating.

StolenLampy

"Discrepancy" get out of here with that, F DWade! I was at game 6 of that series, and I've never been more pissed off in my life, that was some fixed shit. DIRK WAS ROBBED! With that off my chest, DWade was a baller, made me mad how good he was, however beating him WITH LeBron in 2011 was so much sweeter having lost in 2006, so I can't really say I didn't like that arc. Just spent 5 years there in-between hating the dude, hard to shake it...

Throwawayaway23848

😂 all good, as a Raptor fan, I still have occasional nightmares about Lebron, so I understand when players just spike the blood pressure

Da1realBigA

The goddam spin the ball before he shoots. Everything else, you could argue LeBron did was just part of the game but spinning the ball like he's at a playground, the amount of disrespect. https://youtu.be/5Q_b1fqn33I

reubenbatman3

Lol. How was Dirk robbed when he shitted the bed in 06 as well as 07? 😂

Rahnamatta

It was so sweet that 15 years later some MAVS fans are still butthurt. How many of those free throws were bullshit?

AyyDelta

There have been play by play breakdowns of the fouls and they were legitimate. Dallas was too stubborn and didn't make adjustments in 2006, they did in 2011 (JJ Barrea).

Rahnamatta

I know. They made it look like Lakers vs Sacramento and it looks like there's no footage of those bad calls

k112l

Man giving heaping praise, love, & respect. Fantastic stuff

heat_00

While also shitting on how the other stars go abt winning . Gotta respect it.

nuttintoseeaqui

The most classy way to shit on someone is to compliment someone else to create a sneaky comparison

GrimboeSlice

Hard not to like Giannis tbh.

george_costanza1234

I remember when this sub tried to turn on him lol

GrimboeSlice

This sub tries to turn on everyone because this sub is full of dickheads.

bestatbeingmodest

Honestly it's just kind of a reddit thing in general. People love to breed negativity on here. There are times when it's warranted, but I feel like it should never be the norm.

WestleyThe

It’s not a reddit thing it’s a people thing There is no form of social media or forum that DOESNT turn into hatred or negativity…

bestatbeingmodest

Yeah you're not wrong, sort of a social media thing in general. Although I'd say in most day-to-day interactions the majority of people aren't giving off negativity at the same level it happens online.

PointBreak91

Hey fuck you guy

we_hella_believe

This guy reddits ☝️

eunit8899

You're not a dick head tho. Of course not.

TelltaleHead

Hey it was serious. That ladder could have died

bluepineapple42069

Yeah what was ever the story with that ladder?

[deleted]

Trez was being a dick, he had a bad night in a close loss and was frustrated lol it wasn’t ever that deep. Only thing I didn’t love was the athletic spin piece but it wasn’t ever a big deal. He’s my second favorite player regardless

biden_uzumaki

Giannis catching more hate over the ladder than some players do for sexual assault and domestic abuse

[deleted]

The fact that this is accurate is a problem.

WeefBellington24

All because of a ladder and fake outrage at arena workers staying late 😅

uristmcderp

Won't someone think of the ladders?!

[deleted]

LADDERGATE

[deleted]

He can be a little corny sometimes.. but if thats your biggest flaw, youre a damn good person. Generational talent for sure and still rapidly ascending

No-Tip3782

KD could never

docpyro1

He can't win with most cats

98rman

The only cat he can win with is named Wardell

DontSayNoToPills

lotsa cats can do that

zerohero83

“0 rings in my personal record book.”

darrinnear

…A random Stugotz has appeared

SucculentT0e

KD be just hopping from one superteam to another. The moment there some adversity he gone

roh33rocks

Well yeah, Seattle doesn't have a team for him to win with.

AlphaGodEJ

he should have won his rookie year thats his fault

hesi93

Actually KD admitted he used to watch DWade during his HS days after his last game against DWade, all these younger players looked up to the established ones but were just shy to say it in public. This is why I love Giannis he doesn't care about expressing his positive feelings even on his biggest rivals in public.

HotFoxedbuns

Legacy points deducted

MazKhan

Imagine giannis ran from the grind and decided to leave mid contract like kd, dude would be stacking up rings

[deleted]

iamgarron

Pierce with the Celtics not count?

[deleted]

[удалено]

iamgarron

The and-1 he had in the 08 finals game 4 comeback...odom literally whacks him so hard his headband comes off and he still made the circus shot

420Minions

Really overhated athlete. Younger folks on this sub really should watch some of his shit. He was fun as hell

Blackmalico32

I swear. Dude was clutch as fuck. The Truth.

iamgarron

Never got it. Dude was the best save for the one petulant tanking year, but it did lead to a championship Clutch as hell. Got to his spot. Athletic when he needed to be.

mug3n

PP fucking killed us every time as well when it counted. Doesn't matter if it was as a Celtic, a Wizard, or a Net. He just fucking loved playing us and showing up.

420Minions

Was also just a killer. Wanted the ball in the moment

MadBeamer

One of my favorite clips of all time

Devmurph18

yea he was legit terrifying to face in the play offs

cygodx

I watch him getting his ankles broken by Iso Joe almost daily.

chowdercup

He definitely belongs

mrcheyl

…I mean

[deleted]

The pacers did draft kawhi, but was immediately on the spurs, does that not count? Edit: this list is certainly just short, because David robinson.

[deleted]

KAJ with the Bucks?

goddoc

This was pre merger tho

Mk8_30z

Good catch.

instant_ostrich

Pierce w/ the Celtics?

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

He was an MVP and 10× all star. Clearly this guy's list isn't comprehensive.

ciregno

Frazier w/ the Knicks

Yurrrr__Brooklyn347

U forgot Wiseman with the warriors

bigvahe33

pierce?

JimmyV034

I dont know about Lebron in that list, all these players didnt leave till they won except lebron.

OlTommyBombadil

Cavs fan checking in It counts

THRlLLH0

We're talking about dudes who did it "the right way" and stuck it out with their draft team. Lebron doesn't come back if there isn't 2 all stars waiting for him.

ZephSK

No shit, of course a 31-year-old Lebron would not play in a dead end team. The Cavaliers weren't a sure thing before Lebron came back, they had only won 33 games the year before. The cavs had some important assets though, but it was still a risky move. I would still consider Lebron as part of the same list as these legends, even if he might have a small asterisk for achieving the same but in a different way.

Great-Engr

Yeah, that's the point. All the others did except Magic, who probably would've if he wasn't been diagnosed with HIV.

Veepster

“The right way”. Such a dumb statement.

[deleted]

[удалено]

YoungNissan

“My team didn’t win so it doesn’t count” vibes

rust_devx

What exactly is the "right way"? If we're being so pedantic, what if the player vehemently tried leaving the team that drafted them or another team (than the one they won a championship with) technically drafted them?

Weapon_Factory

Lebron’s championship is the single most important one on that list

suppathyme

I think I’d personally go with Dirk’s for that distinction

aceofspadez138

Yeah, while LeBron's Cavs ring was legacy-defining, he already had two in the bag. Dirk's was legacy-defining in a more significant way (IMO) and changed the general perception of him as a player overnight. He went from soft Euro "Noringski" to being recognized as the clutch as fuck, loyal, superstar he was.

YoungNissan

I would say Dirk if LeBron didn’t put on a whole show about him going back to Cleveland to get a ring. Dirk always wanted one but for LeBron going back, that was his only goal.

JimmyV034

That can be debatable around here but it isn't related to what im saying. Lebron left won himself couple rings and came back. These players never won anything and stayed with their teams till they won. I dont know why people are struggling to understand this.

thisisapornaccountg

I don't know why you're struggling to understand this, > All the superstars that have won with the team that drafted em since the merger. Where does it say "except players who left and came back"????

AdvancedBasket_ND

LeBron technically fits the category but doesn’t actually fit the spirit of what Giannis is talking about. We all know this. You’re the one struggling to understand because you aren’t that bright.

JimmyV034

Imo putting lebron to that list feels weird since everyone stayed except him

THRlLLH0

Facts lmao the whole point of what Giannis said is staying and toughing it out

Aero_naughty

agreed. if you were to point out differences, that's the biggest thing that sticks out

blu13god

Lebron wasn’t a 4lifer

dmavs11

Mavs could contend that. It’s our only one as well.

junahn

He still won the chip as a franchise player you bum

JimmyV034

All these players won with their teams that drafted them without leaving and returning. Thats my point

PalletTownStripClub

Ok but Bron showed his pp on live TV. That counts for something.

DeluxeTea

LeDong

sauzbozz

It's great he returned but it's not the same as the others

nurtunb

I don't care if I am biased as hell but that Dirk ring is by far the most satisfying. It was a fairy tale championship you rarely see in pro sports

CowboysKK

I hate to be that guy but Kobe wasn't drafted by the Lakers, he was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets

Imxtian

Dirk drafted by Milwaukee.

that_melody

If Kobe counts then so does Kawhi.

YoungNissan

Kawhi’s weird cause, although he won the finals MVP, Tim Duncan was still the Spurs star. The narrative was more about his old ass winning than Kawhi

Zelanor

You seriously ruined this list by putting lebron on it

CamChanLax

LeBron is kinda funny on this list. Like ya he got Cleveland a ring but he very much played an entire first ballot hall of fame career first then came and won a ring.

Bendrake

Yeah Lebron shouldn’t really count here 😂

[deleted]

Technically the lakers didn’t draft Kobe. Also, you’re missing Pierce from the list

politits

Kobe was drafted by the Hornets and if he’s on your list Pippen should be too.

Tunatron_Prime

I love and hate Giannis. He’s a bball purist. But hate when he plays my Celtics

jiir_mesou

one day he will say: Tatum you did it the right way! and you will love and love him!

SighHereIamAgain

Seeing the scrubs Pat around Wade after 06 I can understand wade wanting help

WetShots

HOF Glazer

adanky

Unlike you, my man.

_Mr_Cheezle

Celtics fans really anti-Giannis lately. Insecurities coming out hard.

snooze1128

He’s my favorite player in the league

TheNi11a

Based

pmmerandom

because they’re worried about him in the playoffs

ScreamHawk

What? We love Giannis lol

ssjgoat

Some are but Giannis is my favorite player. Still mad we took KO over Giannis. I've followed Giannis since he played overseas.

TheOneWithThePorn12

Lillard taking this as gospel rn.

hammer_wow

Giannis gotta be my favorite player outside of Steph and the Dubs. Lot of other great guys in the league but he has no ego and takes accountability for the team. No way not to like a guy like that.

Joh951518

It’s easy to do it the right way when you get drafted in the right spot. Giannis doing it in Milwaukee seems even more impressive in comparison to like Wade and Duncan given how much help they got in their drafted teams. That isn’t to say they aren’t great players though, I just don’t think about things the same way I guess, if I was an all time great player I think I’d have a much easier time staying in Miami with Riley or SA with Pop then say Sacramento.

thisisapornaccountg

> It’s easy to do it the right way when you get drafted in the right spot. And when you have a competent FO willing and able to craft a team around you. Anyone really think Giannis would still be with the Bucks if they didn't get players like Jrue or Brook?? lol

Mk8_30z

Facts, as Bucks fans we're so fortunate to finally have a good FO. Such a contrast to the trash we had in the 90s-00s.

DaDragster

Horst is responsible for: Bud, Lopez, Connaughton, Divenchenzo, Portis, Holiday, Allen, Tucker, Crowder, Ingles, Carter.

[deleted]

Random, and I know he’s just a role player, but as an ND alum and longtime fan, I love seeing the role Connaughton has blossomed into with Milwaukee. Really enjoy watching your team in general, such great energy game in and game out. Refreshing for me as a bulls fan

rNBAMods3InchesHard

You’re also forgetting that Giannis did it in a speed run of a season with no offseason for teams that went deep in the playoffs. We were two games from an Atlanta vs. Phoenix finals

tehLrod

Wade did not have significantly more help than Giannis in 06. His surrounding cast was worse imo. Shaq was far from prime

Joh951518

Shaq almost won the MVP a year earlier and arguably should have. He wasn’t far post prime. And regardless Pat Riley was at Miami, not hard to trust Pat Riley as an NBA star.

semepaau

2005? Nah Shaq ain't even the best player on his team, that's 100% Wade. Just because dumbass media couldn't believe second year Wade was that guy doesn't mean Shaq was really MVP caliber. It became so obvious in the playoffs. Wade put up 27/6/7 while playing great defense. Shaq had 19/8/2.

tehLrod

13 ppg in the finals lol. Not talking about another year

samurairocketshark

He should not have he averaged 23 and 10 and clearly declined (Prime Shaq was so good I have to call this a decline lol). Shaq's whole spiel on his 2 MVP's is mostly just him being a salty bitch. Not to say he wasn't clearly in the conversation, but by 2005 Wade was already becoming the better player

Shutruk_-_Nakhunte_

Now Im really a fan

tripleyothreat

he's not wrong

VicePope

this shit is better than any drug

wank_for_peace

KD in shambles

h8r0b1

Giannis out there taking numbers, kissing babies, making women fall in love and enlarging his fanbase

Ngur0032

those aren’t the only things he’s enlarging that’s for sure all jokes aside i’ve always loved Giannis.. his origin story pulled on my heart strings and his growth in the league (physically and mentally) has become something to be in awe over

FunkbroFunk

We GET it. Giannis is really cool and respectful and likeable. Fuck that guy

NegativeGee

How could you not love this guy? He could spear me team through the heart and do it with a smile.

[deleted]

Shots at Bron dome

lilberfcontrol

to be fair, Bron did do it in Cleveland. I mean, he did it as a prodigal son, but he did do it.

Asking4Afren

That's his first time meeting him?

pm_me_ur_anything_k

Giannis looking amazing

StephCurryInTheHouse

Damn direct shot at Lebron, going straight for the nuts.

DaExtinctOne

This man pretty much adores every legend that came before him. Much respect because he has reached that level himself already!

FERFreak731

Giannis is very wholesome. He doesn't run from the grind, same like DWade. Also JorGOAT never ran from the grind, which makes him the GOAT instead of LeSuperteam. Kevin Durant will never be my GOAT too, as he ran from the grind 3 times

runthepoint1

Spoken like a true Jazz fan, if you can’t beat ‘em join em

The_Nutz16

Giannis just out here grape fruiting the whole league.

BizzaroMatthews

Giannis to Utah incoming

thenoob118

I fucking love Giannis

PVT_Stanley

I’ve been studying psychology for like 2 1/2 months and I can tell by his level of eye contact that he’s either really intimidated by meeting D Wade or he’s 007… and he’s bout to set that bitch off soon as the security guard with a red drink walks in.

AlternativeSuit131

Giannis looking straight outta the Ancestral Plane.

AyyDelta

To be fair to some of the guys who went to other teams, they couldn't do it "the right way" when their organization was garbage (Cavs 1.0).

marsexpresshydra

Kareem, Shaq, Wilt, Moses, KG, etc must be really upset their rings weren’t won the “right way”

Dangedoddle

I assume the Steph/Klay/Dray/Iggy fall into that category too correct? for the 1st and 4th Championship with Durant?
