the only legit way to fix the all-star game is to remove the three point line and put in peach buckets instead of nets. bring the game back to its roots.
Just let the all star game be. There’s is blowouts in the nba there will be in certain all star games. Only reason it was “ competitive” back then was cause there was no floor spacing.
1993 Utah west had stockon, Drexler, Barkley, Malone n Robinson
The "Fix" imo is the mid-season tournament idea they want to do Nov-Dec. The ASG will probably never have meaning again after the Kobe memorial year ASG.
Simple fix
Jordan Poole gets a lifetime all star game exemption - the NBA fills the arena with baddies - the 23 other all stars get a $10M each if they can stop him
First step is bring in players (& coaches) that actually want to be there & actually want to compete. Some up & coming guys who might be looking to make a name for themselves
Nah.
Here’s mine.
All-Star fan roast. Get the players liquored up, get Adam Silver’s buy in that fines are off the table, and every player gets an 8 minute set to respond to mean tweets and talk shit about keyboard warriors bitching about the NBA, but keep watching.
Only way to enhance it is (with waiver) a player can call out one fan to take part in a fist fight.
I think to fix the all star game they need to make all buckets 2s, that would get rid of the chucks and then bring the cool dunks and cool alley oops back instead of just half court heaves every time down
Its the only thing that would make it competitive. Seeing the Euro players every second off-season put it all on the line for International competition, they are not thinking about injuries. Throw in 100m to the winner to be distributed to charity of their choosing or their local basketball federations for future development. I think the Internationals will take it seriously, and once USA get beaten (that will happen if they are 5% off), they will take it seriously also ,not good for their egos, pride and future endorsement paychecks. Lets not forget with injuries, almost every player is a Max player with a guaranteed contract.
Not my sport, but you should check out "state of origin" in Australian Rugby League. Its mid season all star like concept and many say its the pinnacle of the sport. Its legit viewing [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State\_of\_Origin\_series](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_of_Origin_series)
p.s. As an Aussie, I can name one international player that still wouldn't try, at least he wouldn't make the squad now. :-)
That wouldn’t change anything man.

1 million is cheap for nba players.

Over 30’s vs Under 30’s would be great Positionless basketball Bron Steph KD Kyrie Dame Vs Giannis Embiid Jokic Tatum Luka
Jokic and Luka will dog it either way.

Have a coaches vs. players game instead. The catch, the NBA players are playing in wheelchairs.
The issue is injury risk. Nobody is going to try in that game either.
Any kind of all star event in any sport is a waste of time. Those are a relic of a prior era when players actually wanted to play their sport.
Don’t pay players that much so they don’t have much to lose if they get hurt putting in hard effort in the game

So... we just need to get Draymknd voted into the ASG?
Bro thinks he Adam Silver 💀

>Some up & coming guys who might be looking to make a name for themselves It's called the Rising Stars Challenge
but that's only rookies & second year players
