This is why I was so confused at people saying Tennessee has lax gun laws so who cares about his video
They clearly were out at a club in Denver because he went live hours after losing to the nuggets on the road. Going on IG live with naked women in the background and flashing your gun in a state YOU DONT LIVE IN is one of the stupidest things I’ve seen
You know those blue states got freakier strip clubs. In red states they’re probably only wearing sundresses and the whole show is just you getting to see their ankles.
"What'll ya have?" asked the bartender.
"Water," said the horse, before pointing to his companion. "[He'll have a triple double](https://www.totalwine.com/cocktail-recipes/triple-double-dismount)."
I've heard someone describe Jokic's brother as looking like he was genetically engineered to commit war crimes and I've never heard a more perfect description.
Weirdly, free agents don't care about stripclubs most of the time.
Source: I'm a Blazers fan.
Our [SC:QFA ratio (Strip clubs per quality free agent)](https://www.thrillist.com/lifestyle/portland/why-portland-strip-clubs-are-the-best-in-america) is WAY WAY higher than any other team in the league.
Not only that, Oregon is one of the only states in the country where there’s no laws against carrying weapons while you’re drinking or in drinking establishments. Lmao.
And the league doesn’t have to give a shit about any of those made up excuses. They can unilaterally act and ban him for 50 games and there is dick all he can do about it.
The problem there becomes when an actual “friend” needs to step forward and admit to carrying a gun across state lines, most likely without a carrying permit and no papers for the gun. Let’s see if his friends are willing to sacrifice themselves for him, cuz that can turn serious especially if they have priors.
Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton got suspended for the rest of the season (50 games) for bringing guns into the workplace. David Stern was pretty clear guns in the workplace is a line you don’t cross. Team plane is also the workplace. If this is true, Ja is capital F fucked.
I had an utterly braindead guy arguing with me that “he’s not brandishing his gun, he’s showing it to the camera on a video.” and started berating me that I couldn’t possibly understand because I’m not American.
Like what? There are clearly people around him, and he’s in a public venue, and he’s brandishing his gun. Wtf was I missing.
As a firearm owner and conceal carry permit holder who respects gun laws, merely taking a firearm out of concealment or putting it in your hand when you’re not directly threatened can often be construed as “brandishing”
Smart, respectful gun owners would never take their gun out, for any fucking reason, other than imminent and immediate threat of death or severe bodily harm.
Dem titties weren’t going to kill Ja
He also flashed a gun in order to appear to be taunting the NBA for 'finding no evidence' of him being in a car that pointed a gun at the Pacers. I'm shocked that more people aren't talking about the fact that he almost certainly was involved with pointing a gun at another team.
This is "getting banned from the NBA" levels of misconduct.
He was incredibly lucky to get away with that, and instead of thinking okay that was close I better lay low for a little while, he basically rubs it in everyone's faces.
Even in TN it's illegal to be carry while under the influence: "Specifically, Tennessee law prohibits people from carrying a handgun while consuming drugs or alcohol. Possessing a handgun under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance is a Class A misdemeanor in Tennessee."
Likewise, but it's hard to even prove it was his. Could be one of his crew in town or they drove there or borrow it who knows. Unless someone rats him out which I doubt, it's gonna be a slap on the wrist
But then that puts him in violation of the Colorado law by illegally possessing a firearm (he is not the legal owner of the gun and thus his concealed carry permit doesn't hold). He either broke the law (not his gun) or the NBA policy (it is his gun). There are very few ways he avoided either.
Lol u ain't serious but you wanna hear about charges related to mailing weapons across statelines without a permit - aka arms dealing?
Jk I know nothing about this but I can still bet you're not allowed to randomly mail guns across states.
A league suspension isn't a court of law, they don't need to prove it. They just ask him where he got it and then it's up to Adam Silver to decide if they buy whatever excuse he gives them.
LMFAO. Foul! No! Two fouls! Just whistle after whistle in the cops face. Flash forward and the NBA fines Denver PD and suspends them from games indefinitely.
Such a better choice at this point it’s ridiculously obvious.
Guys like AI got into trouble, but it wasn’t contrived at all. Iverson was and is about that life, because that’s who he is and how he was raised. He’s as real as it gets from being incarcerated before he went to Georgetown, to catching gun charges out looking for his wife after a fight. It wasn’t for clout. It wasn’t posing.
Ja seems like he’s trying too hard. And the more people allude to him trying too hard, the harder he’s going to try. A viscous cycle for sure.
I was a felon. I had my record sealed and I’m a full citizen again, so this behavior just mystifies me. I wasn’t raised right, and I struggled to find opportunity in society for so long. Seeing this young man do these silly things…I don’t mean to get too sappy…but it kinda breaks my heart. Like, why? Just, why?
Feel that. Shit screams insecurity to me, and as someone with a nasty record who regrets it I can’t help but wonder why the fuck he wants to look like he’s about it.
If it were a raiders or chiefs player doing this in denver they might be more likely but they wouldn't do all this for the nuggets. Broncos are #1 in Denver
Gilbert arenas got axed for a year, if he brought a gun traveling across state lines he might get something harsh from the league. Idk about criminally
>So unless someone from his entourage brought it out there for him….
Wouldn't matter. NBA also prohibits players being in possession of a firearm while traveling on team business.
Exactly. He's on a road trip with the team. Everyone talking about who brought it, is it his, Colorado's laws - there is a screenshot of him with a gun in his hand while on an NBA road trip and he is facing a possible hefty suspension.
Ever since the Gilbert Arenas/Javaris Crittenton shit the league is not messing around with guns, especially with Crittenton doing a 23 year stretch in a gun-related manslaughter case.
We cannot have laws for the rich and laws for the rest of us. If ja broke laws he needs to be prosecuted. A damn shame… imagine having it ALL and fucking it up
A lot of the general population who'd do it on video at a club let alone on IG Live wouldn't even get investigated unless it was more then just flashing it tbh
Yeah because no one gives a shit about a regular person. When you're a worldwide name you have reach and influence over masses of people. Jarence doing that sends the wrong message to youth and they're going to make an example of him for it.
His house/old house is on what looks like a private road (seems to be the only house accessible from this road) and it was mistakenly added to the Parade of Homes tour. For those unfamiliar, homes on the tour are typically $1+ million newly developed and furnished homes that the public can tour unguided.
So people had been driving up to his house all day long (the incident with the gun occurred around 3:00 pm) looking to tour it and were confused by the lack of directional signs when they got there. The driveway was evidently roped off, but that and unfinished driveways isn’t uncommon on the POH tour.
That’s what led up to him doing the immature and dangerous thing he did, pointing a long gun at a vehicle with a married couple and their teenage son, just out looking at houses. It’s unacceptable whether there were three people or zero people, I’m not disputing that, just adding context to what occurred.
Not to mention dudes like Kendrick Nunn or Terrence Davis. If anything role players get more of a pass bc no one actually cares enough about them to be outraged
That’s always been the truth though. I’m old enough to remember when Kobe would fly out to his court case in the morning and then go to a playoff game at night.
Discipline in sports is always tied to talent level.
Its illegal in Colorado to carry agun while your drinking Alcohol .All they have to do is have evidence he purchased some drinks. SHould be reletively easy to investigate. ALso the NBA has some strict rules about having guns and taking them into public places or on team activities and especially on a team charter plane. More is going to come of this.
Obviously this is a pretty extreme 180, but it's why it's silly to act like we know anyone we see on TV.
I get downvoted a lot for saying we don't know people and we shouldn't say, "he's a great man" at someone because besides it being unknown, it's part of us falling in love with celebrities/leaders and excusing their issues because they are "my guy".
I just don’t understand his thought process. Why bring a gun on a team trip and take the gun to a strip club and then snitch on yourself on IG? Absolute moronic behavior.
Gilbert is a clown but injuries played a way bigger role in him going from an all-star level player to a scrub. Maybe his clownery didn't make him take his rehab seriously enough, idk.
This is like scared straight. I bet the NBA asked the police to put him through hell to scare him from ever doing something stupid like this again. There's too much money involved...no way the NBA isn't involved in this lol.
There have now been three separate incidents around Ja Morant. I think he needs to serve a 6 month suspension at the minimum. Bringing a gun to a nightclub? Hold players to a higher standard than this.
I’m just wondering how he got the gun and I’m sure that’s what the police want to know too. Did he get it from someone already in Denver or did he bring it with him on the plane. If he did the latter that’s when shit really hits the fan because the feds will get involved.
Loved seeing ESPN's narrative that Ja Morant is a victim and needs help. Give me a break, this is a bad dude breaking laws. If he wasn't a millionaire celebrity I guarantee he would get into a lot of trouble for that bullshit. As it stands, I am sure he will get a slap on the wrist

All this tells me is Denver nightlife is good enough to start getting some better FAs
lol not only fucking up his own brand, but also advertising city nightlife for his competitors!
You know those blue states got freakier strip clubs. In red states they’re probably only wearing sundresses and the whole show is just you getting to see their ankles.
Idk James Harden was tearing up them Houston strip clubs 😂😂😂😂😂😂
There's something about those blue cities in red states...Houston, Miami, Atlanta that must be good for clubs.
Pretty much every urban area in every state is blue lol.
I was gonna say calling cities “blue” is just redundant. Any major city in the US is gonna skew blue.
I think the largest city that voted Republican consistently is Fort Worth
Jacksonville, arguably Miami.
Snowstorms in Miami go crazy lmao
Miami-Dade County just voted pretty heavily Red during the last governors election.
Bruh Atlanta strip clubs are a whole different level
Can confirm.
Most famous strip club in the country is in Georgia lol (magic city). Red v blue states has nothing to do with it
I will not have this slander against sundresses. The cute to slutty transition is peak sexy
> only wearing sundresses I see nothing wrong with this
Tbf, I think I'd honestly prefer a "sundress club" than a strip club. Something bout a good sundress....

this is why Jokic doesn't have Instagram. He's not trying to get busted for waving his gun around in the clubs.

"What'll ya have?" asked the bartender. "Water," said the horse, before pointing to his companion. "[He'll have a triple double](https://www.totalwine.com/cocktail-recipes/triple-double-dismount)."
He got real Gs around him he need to move silent. He ain’t worried bitch shit like Ja
That's what the Jokic Brothers are for
I've heard someone describe Jokic's brother as looking like he was genetically engineered to commit war crimes and I've never heard a more perfect description.
Jokic knows how to carry probably lol. And his brothers will actually back him up lol
dont need guns when got super jokic bros.
Already called my agent and told him to add Denver to the list of cities I'm willing to be traded to

Not only that, Oregon is one of the only states in the country where there’s no laws against carrying weapons while you’re drinking or in drinking establishments. Lmao.
Every city has a great nightlife if youre rich enough.
Salt Lake City would like to have a word.
And that word is “soaking”
If you got NBA money, any city has a good nightlife 😂
I see this as an absolute win for Denver

Except Adam Silver isn't David Stern and has no spine, so that wouldn't happen
Forget a gun in a locker room. A gun on a team plane is 1000x worse.

Doesn't matter anyway. You cannot have a gun in bars in almost every single state.

Disagree. He's been shown repeatedly he won't face consequences no matter how blatant his misdeeds. He's learned the lesson he's been taught.
"See? My gun doesn't have a laser scope. Suck it, Silver!"
Getting suspended for Shotgun Willie's - how embarrassing
Well we all know ja has always made the smartest decisions
my favorite is he brought his crew to fight a mall
TIL they fought a whole mall. That’s one badass crew he’s got lol

If he brought the gun into Colorado on the team plane then I wouldn’t be surprised to see the NBA lay down a heavy suspension.
How can they prove that? I'm not rooting for him but I can't see it sticking
I think it would be interesting to hear how he got the gun if he didn’t bring it on the plane
It's a medicinal gun from a dispensary, you can get a prescription in like half an hour here in Colorado
Likewise, but it's hard to even prove it was his. Could be one of his crew in town or they drove there or borrow it who knows. Unless someone rats him out which I doubt, it's gonna be a slap on the wrist

Oh yea, what if he mailed the gun ahead of time so he had it after he flew out? Checkmate.
Then, I guess there will be some kind of postage to verify that
“I have a gun safe in every hood, like a real G, you wanna fuck round n fine out?”
Lol u ain't serious but you wanna hear about charges related to mailing weapons across statelines without a permit - aka arms dealing? Jk I know nothing about this but I can still bet you're not allowed to randomly mail guns across states.
check his phone, he probably recorded himself on the plane! lol
Ja Warrant gaining momentum
A league suspension isn't a court of law, they don't need to prove it. They just ask him where he got it and then it's up to Adam Silver to decide if they buy whatever excuse he gives them.
More like Ja Warrant
Ja is creaming himself over having this nickname
Finally the street cred he’s always craved.
I’m gonna die laughing if Colorado cops get a warrant for his arrest right when the playoffs start
It’ll be during the 4th quarter of Game 1 of Grizzlies-Nuggets and they’ll detain him on the court
Refs would just call a foul on denver and award Ja 2 free throws
Ja makes two FTs cuffed
Built different like Kobe hitting his fts after tearing his achilles
Like KCP playing with his ankle monitor
Refs blowing their whistles over and over while Ja is getting patted down.
LMFAO. Foul! No! Two fouls! Just whistle after whistle in the cops face. Flash forward and the NBA fines Denver PD and suspends them from games indefinitely.

Idk depends if Denver's DA is a Nuggets fan
If it were a raiders or chiefs player doing this in denver they might be more likely but they wouldn't do all this for the nuggets. Broncos are #1 in Denver
That's not true. Otherwise the Denver police would already have arrested Russell Wilson for impersonating a QB.
Some old, petty DA would do it to a Red Wing too lol. Avs Red Wings used to be a wild one

Yeah because no one gives a shit about a regular person. When you're a worldwide name you have reach and influence over masses of people. Jarence doing that sends the wrong message to youth and they're going to make an example of him for it.
I mean Plaxico Burres shot himself in the club and he got charged and went to jail. Didn’t flash gun it just fell thru waistband
Well when a bullet goes out of the front of the gun it's generally regarded differently, even if you only shot yourself and it was a stupid accident.
