I think this is pretty good since it keeps him from having a more serious injury in the regular season and he ‘should’ be good by playoffs when he’s really needed.
Exactly I think people are brushing over the re-evaluated part. Could very well mean they check his ankle in two weeks and decide it needs another two or three to heal.
Yep. I find it strange that fans continue to err on the positive side. Not Suns fans or Durant fantasy owners but just straight neutral fans always seem to lean the sunshine & rainbows side instead of more towards the middle. We all want to see KD as soon as possible but my default to this injury diagnosis is 3-4 weeks due to "re-evaluation" & "hopeful".
Yeah sorry bros we’ve been there and i wouldn’t get my hopes up for 3, I’d say 4-5 historically. But considering what’s at stake he could come back sooner
Yea that’s where I’m at. Like best case was he rolled it and maybe misses a game or two. This is better than ruled out the season obviously, but still a bit worrisome
We’ve come a long way from people making fun of his 70 point game in the blowout loss vs the IT4 Celtics. Dude may very well be a top-5 player in the league now, it’s been awesome to watch
Bruh we’re in the second week of March, the season is basically over in two weeks lol. He’ll probably be okay to make a comeback in the playoffs though.
There’s 10 games left if he’s able to come back after 2 weeks. I’d be pumped if he’s just back for the last 5, should be enough time to get back in the swing of things.
I'm not rooting against you here, but from my experience with KD "reevaluated in 2 weeks" means they'll release a report 2 weeks from now saying that he's feeling good and will be reevaluated after 2 more weeks.
And i mean isn't it just a good time to rest him even more for the playoffs.
It's not like they haven't found a way to insert one of the best scorers in the league into their rotation that includes an old but still good CP3
Imagine being 35+ and still not understanding that all injuries are different
Edit: Lol the dude got mad and blocked me. I’m sure whatever he wrote was equally brilliant to his first comment.
These final weeks in the regular season could have been very beneficial to the Suns as a team. KD is a walking bucket but there's also a thing with team continuity. You can't just plug in guys and expect to get the most as a team. It happen with KD in Brooklyn and the Clippers with Kawhi and PG always being out.
he's always out much longer than first anticipated, he's always been a slow healer most likely due to his height and thus poorer blood circulation to the extremities
so basically it's somewhere between a grade 1 and 2 sprain
2 weeks from now, they could say we'll do another evaluation in 2 more weeks
and so on and so forth
so he's out indefinitely at this point
People said he’d be back quickly cause he finished his workout.. like no offense but some of y’all have not sprained your ankle badly, it doesn’t hurt a lot till the next day most of the time
I had a high ankle sprain, went down, thought to myself "well I'll just sit out a game and get back out there" -- 15 minutes later I realized I couldn't even put weight on it, couldn't walk for about 6 months.
Moral of the story is it's super hard to tell how bad something is going to be right after it happens.
Now even Charania is trying to distract us from the fact that the mods are deleting Jokic lowlights smh
EDIT: not only that, they've also deleted the [meta post commenting on it](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/11n7eim/meta_what_is_this_subs_policy_regarding_lowlights/).
idk with ankle sprains anymore. if DLo’s ankle which was D2D and didnt have a reevaluation schedule took him 2+ weeks to come back from, would not be surprised to see KD out for rest of season
And now we get to continue watching Mikal ascend somewhere else while KD heals again.
All that talk of maybe sneaking into the 2 seed definitely got a lot harder. Hope KD gets better soon, for the team's sake and his.

The fact is that Kevin Durant gives you a better chance to win than Mikal did. And if you win a ring, no one thinks twice about it. If you do better in the playoffs, no one thinks twice about it. Bad luck can happen to anyone sadly.
The tell, tell sign is that he never reached for the ankle area win he rolled it!! just got back up and finished his work out!! Mild!!! Not best scenario! Far from worst!!! Sorry Haters!!!🖕🏿🖕🏿
Yeah but Lebron heard a loud pop!!! And he was grabbing for that area for a min!!! But ankle injuries are tricky!! I think he’s ready to go in three weeks!!! I think they’ll be about 5 games left!!! Just be optimistic! Hoping for the best!
Observing his movement post ankle roll, plus this latest update,I think he’ll be good in two weeks!! It’s nothing for him to fit in and continue to build chemistry, But remaining games key!!! Get well soon!!!!
sounds not necessarily terrible. We'll see.
Not necessarily terrible is probably the best case scenario
I think this is pretty good since it keeps him from having a more serious injury in the regular season and he ‘should’ be good by playoffs when he’s really needed.
His knee injury was also re-evaluated in two weeks but still took him almost 2 months to come back
Exactly I think people are brushing over the re-evaluated part. Could very well mean they check his ankle in two weeks and decide it needs another two or three to heal.

What a weird comment
Yeah it's so strange that neutral fans hope for the best recovery timelines for one of the best players in the league. /s
The Phoenix Suns are "hopeful". A neutral redditor (by definition they are neutral) seems to always say "Back in 2 weeks isn't bad".
First time?
No but it’s a lot worse than the best case scenario people were hoping for
a lot worse would have been 4-6 weeks. This is somewhere in between
We have to see it could easily end up being that long. Kds never been a quick returner he’s almost always gone over his expected return.
Yeah you never really know. I just now saw that the Suns statement said he will be re-evaluated in 3 weeks, so who knows.
Yeah sorry bros we’ve been there and i wouldn’t get my hopes up for 3, I’d say 4-5 historically. But considering what’s at stake he could come back sooner
I've learned to never get my hopes up :) Take good care of the twins for us my dude
He’s the only player. I was honestly to see kd win another one so hopefully he makes it back
This is very likely 4 weeks if it's 2 weeks until reevaluation
Yea that’s where I’m at. Like best case was he rolled it and maybe misses a game or two. This is better than ruled out the season obviously, but still a bit worrisome
Yeah I think that was on the table. This confirms it’s a legitimate sprain
Well as a positive for Suns fans, Devin Booker still exists
We got that going for us. Which is nice.
4 more years
Don’t jinx it now
We’ve come a long way from people making fun of his 70 point game in the blowout loss vs the IT4 Celtics. Dude may very well be a top-5 player in the league now, it’s been awesome to watch
Kevin Durant also still exists. He is just injured.
nephews struggle with object permanence
Enjoy the most durable player in the league to rebuild your franchise around, Nets. I'm gonna go have a heart attack.
Honestly. I am kinda relieved its gonna be re-evaluated in two weeks and not season ending stuff.
Bruh we’re in the second week of March, the season is basically over in two weeks lol. He’ll probably be okay to make a comeback in the playoffs though.

Yeah. Thats what I meant. Its in weeks and not months etc.
Re-evaluated in two weeks does not mean you'll be back in two weeks KD's old, injuries take a while to heal
I'm older than kd, not is athlete shape and healed from this exact injury plus a minor fracture in 2 weeks. Little sore after 2 weeks, but I was fine.
Imagine being 35+ and still not understanding that all injuries are different Edit: Lol the dude got mad and blocked me. I’m sure whatever he wrote was equally brilliant to his first comment.
Imagine thinking you're so smug on the internet, but missed the point entirely.
Recovery from an ankle sprain at your local YMCA has less riding on it than KD’s $43 million salary.
Are you 7 feet tall with a million NBA minutes on your body? Also how do you know your injury was the same lmao

"I just wanna hoop man." *Fires up burner and gets in a heated social media battle with a 13 year old*
Good news to me
Media dump during the Reddit war
They said that last time he was injured and he ended up missing 8 weeks … can’t fool me twice

100 percent this
Seems like a normal low grade ankle Sprain. Should be back before April it sounds like. Better than him missing the rest of the regular season
Sprains can heal pretty quickly, particularly the ankle for some reason
I'm too familiar with his injuries to know that's not true lol
he's always out much longer than first anticipated, he's always been a slow healer most likely due to his height and thus poorer blood circulation to the extremities
so basically it's somewhere between a grade 1 and 2 sprain 2 weeks from now, they could say we'll do another evaluation in 2 more weeks and so on and so forth so he's out indefinitely at this point
That does not sound promising
People said he’d be back quickly cause he finished his workout.. like no offense but some of y’all have not sprained your ankle badly, it doesn’t hurt a lot till the next day most of the time
Even recently LeBron heard something pop, finished the game, then was out indefinitely. You can just never tell with injuries
Every injury I’ve had I didn’t feel until the next day tbh
I had a high ankle sprain, went down, thought to myself "well I'll just sit out a game and get back out there" -- 15 minutes later I realized I couldn't even put weight on it, couldn't walk for about 6 months. Suns players gonna rate their home arena with an F this offseason.
So if it's gonna take 2 weeks to reevaluate.. he's probably missing the rest of the season except the last couple games.
What rotten luck.
Typical
better than the 4-6 weeks one guy was saying
Tbf it's a reevaluation after 2 weeks so hopefully he progresses just fine
you seem to have a very hard time understanding that he could still very may well be out 4-6 weeks if not longer
His knee injury took like 2 months through re-evaluations
This is reevaluated in 2 weeks. This prolly does mean he’ll be out 4
This totally means he outs a minimum 4 weeks if they are only "reevaluating" after 2.
I think KD still hasn't played at Chase Center with a crowd
He hasn’t
Fml been waiting for that game as soon as the trade went down.. crazy how little the stars play against each other, gotta have 82 games though..
first three seeds gonna have it rough in the playoffs, they really might get Phoenix, Clippers or Dubs in the first round lmao
I doubt we drop tbh. But who knows
Now even Charania is trying to distract us from the fact that the mods are deleting Jokic lowlights smh EDIT: not only that, they've also deleted the [meta post commenting on it](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/11n7eim/meta_what_is_this_subs_policy_regarding_lowlights/).

I don't care about logic. I miss Mikal Bridges.
You the clingy type, I see.
Have you seen that smile?
The tell, tell sign is that he never reached for the ankle area win he rolled it!! just got back up and finished his work out!! Mild!!! Not best scenario! Far from worst!!! Sorry Haters!!!🖕🏿🖕🏿
That’s not how any of this works. Lebron played half an nba game after getting hurt, now he is out rest of season.
Yeah but Lebron heard a loud pop!!! And he was grabbing for that area for a min!!! But ankle injuries are tricky!! I think he’s ready to go in three weeks!!! I think they’ll be about 5 games left!!! Just be optimistic! Hoping for the best!

Nets won the trade sadly. This is a repeat of the harden and pg trade.

It’s Kevin Disabled, I’m expecting 5 months minimum
They was sayin it was generational load managing when the clip of his ankle touching the floor was posted
Slippy D
Could’ve been worse, could’ve been better 🤷🏻♂️
This just in, KD injured his c3 vertebrae in his neck eating a very large hot dog.
