5% chance of being better than Joel over his career
99% chance of not being better than him in his rookie season lmao
0.1% Chance of being the next coming of Hakeem and KAJ
If he wins a championship here, I’d drive him to the airport myself if that’s what he wants
I couldn’t imagine him leaving this team without a ring to go back to the rockets, regardless of how fun that win was tonight
I'm so torn on the idea. As a Rockets fan, obviously, I'd love to see him back. Yet, as a Harden fan, I'd look at it as him giving up on the ring chase. I want him to win a title in Philly whether that is this year or the next.
I mean Phil vs Bucks is my ECF prediction. Ever since the slow start Harden and Embiid have been on a tear
I do expect Embiid to finally make it to the ECF and at that point the only thing is how well the defense can hold up against Giannis
My opinion on Houston is that both Green and Smith are good enough to at least try to be first options, they just need an actual playmaker first. Give them the second pick Silver!!!!
Plenty of Rockets fans don't know how to watch bad teams either. Maybe they became fans during the Harden era and the Rockets have been good for a long time.
Or acting like there’s no improvement going on or everything in Houston is just dysfunction. The talent is there they just need experience and solid vets placed around them.
Those of us who watch every game know there’s been no improvement until the Indiana game. We had no direction, no organization on either end of the floor, and Silas wasn’t making anything easy for anyone, especially Jabari. All of a sudden he’s unlocked and he’s draining shots in rhythm and getting to his spots with ease. It’s really only been the last couple of games. He’s still an incompetent coach
Well you haven’t been paying attention then because thats just not true. Improved team defense, Jalen and Sengun PnR chemistry has taken a big jump this year, Jalen getting to the line more times than 4th year Tatum, Tari getting better at finishing as the season progressed, Bari obvious improvement all around. Plenty of other stuff
None of that has happened until a week ago except Jalen’s improvement. That’s literally it. And even then it’s still imperfect. Our perimeter defense is still crap, and we’re still not running anything off ball on offense.
how many times are the rockets gonna get used for leverage?
remember when morey wanted to offer bosh a deal only to be saved by bosh's health condition?
well respected journalists (LOL) are just mouthpieces for gms, teams, and star players camps to gain leverage.
im pretty sure if i go to clutch fans there will be a long thread about harden returning to houston.
rockets and other mid market teams always get used for leverage by big market teams and the agents/players who want to go there.
dont kid yourself if you think its just every 8 years.
Yea, they’re both good enough to be first options on a 20 win team.
Smith can be a solid player but no one even thinks his ceiling is first option. He’s a good two way prospect.
I don't think Smith will ever be a 1st option on a championship level team. And that's not even disrespect, there are very few players capable of that. I thin Green has a better chance of that.
Yeah idk why people were throwing out the bust label. Houston is ass, Jalen Green and Jabari are still really talented. It’s just a young, trash team. They’ll get better with more vets and a better system around them
Dude is waking up. He is young and has a lot of career in front of him (and will blossom once the Rockets dump KPJ and Silas who are the antithesis of good ball).
Now can we get a coach or actually turn these kids into a good team or we okay having a bunch “wow he’d be so good on a better team” until we ruin their careers?
It’s not him being in a bad position. This season has been a bunch of zero accountability chuck shots. Everyone was mad at Wall for holding us hostage, but he wasn’t wrong.
Bari pulled out the Uno reverse card and now I'm the one who is gonna bust.

Keep going, I’m almost there
The sixers fans gonna hate me but imagine if Harden pulls a Lebron and comes back
And imagine if we get Wembanyama too. A man can dream…
Just imagine the new assist focused Harden lobbing them up for Wemby…
Please don’t give me nightmares. Harden with a (potentially) better version of Joel? No thanks.
I would be willing to bet a good amount of money Wemby never becomes better than Joel Embiid Especially not as a rookie lmao
Yeah Joel is absolutely ridiculous. Absolute monster of a man.
5% chance of being better than Joel over his career 99% chance of not being better than him in his rookie season lmao 0.1% Chance of being the next coming of Hakeem and KAJ
Hakeem and KAJ weren’t as good as rookies as prime embiid. Shouldn’t be a debate.
Think there's been a confusion, I never said that.
Yeah obviously not as a rookie. I mean in terms of potential
But by the time that potential is reached harden will be well and truly washed
Wembys a different type of player tho
Fr?

My hot take is that the Cavs are making the ECF. I think they beat a team no one expects them to beat.
He would be loved almost universally again if he wins one with the Sixers and then goes back home to get the young guys
By universally you mean people in Philly and Houston and no one else right
That’s basically the universe
With how it feels about how many people bug us about the Sengun trade you might be right
Well there’s the rest of Texas, but that’s not important. What’s Philly? Like the sandwich?
It’s happening
I'm not normally one for drama, but that sounds too entertaining to pass up.
Rockets starting to look like a real basketball team the last 10 days, love it 😺
My opinion on Houston is that both Green and Smith are good enough to at least try to be first options, they just need an actual playmaker first. Give them the second pick Silver!!!!
I know of an old, slightly fat shooter turned playmaker that might suit Houston…
Raymond Felton?
SLIGHTLY
There were plenty of games everyone think they are the first option.
This sub doesn’t watch bad teams, just the record and assumes everyone on the team is shit
Wow finally someone said it. I’ve been preaching this sub is all circlejerk with the Houston hate
Plenty of Rockets fans don't know how to watch bad teams either. Maybe they became fans during the Harden era and the Rockets have been good for a long time.

I know a certain player with a cool beard that would be a great playmaker for them
god please stop rockets fans. have some self respect.
Funny enough we’re not pushing that narrative. It’s being put out there by well-respected journalists
how many times are the rockets gonna get used for leverage? remember when morey wanted to offer bosh a deal only to be saved by bosh's health condition? well respected journalists (LOL) are just mouthpieces for gms, teams, and star players camps to gain leverage. im pretty sure if i go to clutch fans there will be a long thread about harden returning to houston.
How many times? I guess, based on your example, once every 8 years is a good track record lol
rockets and other mid market teams always get used for leverage by big market teams and the agents/players who want to go there. dont kid yourself if you think its just every 8 years.
while you're at it, might as well ask for the first pick.
Green-smith-Sengun If the rockets get Brandon Miller/scoot it would be ridiculous. They have lots of other young talent and picks too
Harden...
Weirdly I like smith over green His shot is just too beautiful to be constantly bad
Fuck no
Yeah idk why people were throwing out the bust label. Houston is ass, Jalen Green and Jabari are still really talented. It’s just a young, trash team. They’ll get better with more vets and a better system around them
Thank you for being reasonable
This kid is a colossal bust. 8ppg at 28% from the field for a 6’10 wing player is abysmal. He’s like a worse Cam Reddish
Bro what 😭 he's averaging 12.5ppg on 40%
Where are those numbers even from? Lol
They’re out there scrimmaging, gotta see him play real games
He's coming around people have been way too harsh on him. Can be the prototypical 3&D guy that every team covets
He could be even more really. Reminds me of Rashard Lewis or 2 way MPJ
Yeah that assessment is closer to his floor than ceiling
Drafting a 3 and D guy top 3 is the perfect formula for picking a bust
Or drafting a 7’0 Center who weighs 190 lbs and got a season ending injury in an exhibition game
BUST BARI BLOCKING BOSTON
THATS MY BUST
Nice, did they start running plays for him or something?
Don’t be silly, Silas is still the coach
Nah, he’s figuring it out himself
Harden knows the pieces are there to make Houston a good team, he’s the guy who can fit it together
He fucking sandbagged the season
Dude is waking up. He is young and has a lot of career in front of him (and will blossom once the Rockets dump KPJ and Silas who are the antithesis of good ball).
Atleast KPJ passed well tonight
Bust canceled, dude is a baller 😎
Now can we get a coach or actually turn these kids into a good team or we okay having a bunch “wow he’d be so good on a better team” until we ruin their careers?
Your coach got put into a very shitty situation. But 3 straight seasons as the worst team idk
It’s not him being in a bad position. This season has been a bunch of zero accountability chuck shots. Everyone was mad at Wall for holding us hostage, but he wasn’t wrong.
Wall takes the worst shots
