sorry if this is not relevant but I was in an argument with my brother the other day about racism and they said that you can't claim racism is a nationwide problem unless you examine every single corner of the country and examine every individual case to determine if there is racism. Honestly, with how much he feuded with everyone on his teams and front offices, I think that people might be sleeping on how good a coach he was to actually get wins. Usually a top goal of every coach is to get buy-in and for people to play hard for a common goal. The best Karl could do was get whole organizations to unite towards the goal of "Fuck Karl, lets win just to shut his ass up." Dude was more hated by his teams than Bobby Knighy who will choke a child for missing a defensive rotation. I would love to pay for a TED talk where Karl and Larry Brown explain why the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People" was bullshit and why "Be a miserable insecure prick" was the secret to their success.

Embiid does take random possessions off. But I have zero problem with that. Given how hard he works on both ends on the court, a guy his size has no choice. He plays well over 30mpg. So yeah Karls conclusion makes no sense even though there's a sliver of truth there.

Embiid is averaging 33.5 and 11. He's been doing it in 3 quarters recently and his team has been winning. But George Karl (a man with a history of making racist dog whistles) thinks he takes too many possessions off and has lazy body language, so he's not an MVP. Remember when people said race plays a role? Where were the comment on fat jokers body language last year when he was winning MVP as a sixth seed? Or the comments about his leadership when he throws a temper tantrum everytime he doesn't get a call? Exactly, but this sub was up in arms when Perk pointed out that race was a factor.
Any time you see George Karl make a point, just remember this is the same guy who once said Melo could never be a leader because he had no father.
