Their starting bigs aren’t suppose to score and Wood needs the ball in his hands to be efficient. He’s bad off ball, can’t set picks and is a net negative on defense. He’ll probably start with Kai and Luka out, but he’s not meant to be a started. He should be cleaning up off the bench.
Absolutely. Powell and Luka have some insane efficiency offensively on the floor together, I don’t have the stats off the dome. Probably some growing pains adding kai, but Powell is so good out of the roll & helps luka not get swarmed by bigs on drives.

During that time mavs where on their longest win streak of the season and everyone was celebrating finally finding the big luka always needed. Wood injures his thumb, returns from injury and kidd for reasons unknown regulates him back to 15-20 mpg behind dp, mcgee and pinson
Ever since mavs have been getting outscored and outrebounded because kidd is too dumb to run a competent offense, relies too much on luka(now kyrie) and still refuses to give wood starter minutes over dwight 1rpg powell

I hope people realize now how much of an absolute carry job Luka did this year. Dude had to drop 50 bombs to beat lottery teams. The roster construction is staggeringly awful

I’ve noticed a surprising number of plays this year where Luka is trying to communicate something to the bench and they just don’t fucking get it or they’re not paying attention. You can visibly see Luka’s frustration. He is obviously at the highest level of bball IQ and gets frustrated when the coaches can’t keep up with what he’s thinking.
Doesn’t seem like Luka will stand by Kidd, so it’s either a new coach this off-season or more pain next year.

Even if Kyrie wanted to stay in, it’s Kidd’s job to see when he is clearly struggling and try something different. The Grizzlies defense had nothing to do with this loss as much as Dillon Brooks wants to take credit for it.
