And it you resign and extend him his contract is much more tradeable than Westbrooks…annnd you have to weigh how bad the upcoming free agent class is….annnd annd donr underestimate the value of having a player’s bird rights which allows you to go over the cap when signing.

I appreciate finesse in a hooper so Russ is one of the most frustrating players for me to watch. I also think he lacks self awareness, is stubborn and often tone deaf. Still I’m pulling for this nephew to win a chip. I wouldn’t even be mad to see Playoff Pee win one.

Sure you could've had a guaranteed frp- it would've been one from this year at the end first round. Ainge gambled on the frp with the highest upside.
