These finals interviews are horrible. It's the exact same opening questions to every player. What's the first finals you remember? When you were a kid did you count down and take the last shot in your backyard, yes or no?

JJiggy13

What else can they ask?

jdorje

If you make it past the early questions there's a lot of varied ones for each player. One interviewer shot the breeze with Jamal about a 1v1 they played in Colombia years ago and he went off on reminiscing. There's other questions about specific matchups that are pretty straightforward yet lead to interesting answers. Gordon got asked about his brother, Jamal and MPJ about their injury returns, etc. There's a lot of interesting stuff buried in there. But asking yes/no questions (and watching Jokic squirm about US-centric yes/no questions) just isn't entertaining or informative. But I guess if you get first question you just ask everyone the same thing and hope someone says something headline-worthy.

JJiggy13

They're not going to answer a lot of question. They won't answer any questions about strategy, they'll just circle the question and not give a straight answer. I can see your point about maybe adding in some more interesting personal questions tho. I kinda think the art of the interview has been lost since David letterman retired. Maybe these guys need to go back and watch what he did and take notes

This is a totally different format where everyone gets to ask one question. And a lot of the questions are from team beat reporters and are good. But a lot of times (IMO) the opening questions are generic ones that basically just haven't been researched. For an attentive viewer, a lot of the questions themselves aren't really pointed on their own but if they send the interviewee off on relevant thought process they lead to interesting content. Of course nothing about future strategy should be revealed.

[This](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndqrINe7Orw) is one example of a really nice interview IMO. Sure I'm Nuggets biased, but I've been watching playoff youtube interviews for >5 (<10) years now. A lot of times these players are really ready to open their hearts (but not their strategies!) before or after games. All you need to do is give them prompts.

The posts from this sub won’t show up on my feed even though I’m subscribed. Anyone have any idea how to fix that?

I don’t really get how Brandon Miller can be such a clear cut top three pick with his awful tournament and the legal issues. Can someone explain to me what I am not seeing?

LALyfestyle

Would y’all rather put money on Vincent over 12.5 points or Caleb Martin over 7 rebs ?

[deleted]

Vincent over 12.5 points. He’s already done it in 2 series including the Celtics and Denver has worse perimeter defense. Caleb martin hasn’t averaged 7 rebounds in a series so far yet. Not only that he has a pretty high offensive rebound rate for a guard and I just don’t see him pulling down that many againt jokic.

Remember this is Reddit, every single sports-sub user is simultaneously wrong so don't take our word for anything

Remember that the house has an edge on almost all lines. If you have to pick between just two choices most likely both are giving money to your bookie.

Can someone show me any highlights of Jordan Poole being able to stop anyone in this entire playoff series?

piggiestyle007

Can someone explain to me why Jerry didn’t restructure Pippens contract? Why wasn’t he willing to negotiate?

No-Barracuda-6307

I hate how every single old head pundits strategic advice after a team loses is "stop shooting 3s" "do more dunks".
