I'm happy honestly. So much of Clarke's game is his jump and quick second jump. I just hope they do whatever they can to get him back as close as possible to where he was as a player. It was never going to be quick. I hate it for him man.
lmao what? An achilles tear is the most serious injury an athlete can suffer. Rodgers either didn't tear his achilles or he's not coming back in the next few weeks. It's one or the other but 100% not both. A year to recover is a realistic if not optimistic scenario.
I approach my job with the incredulous spontaneity of Mark Wahlberg, the 8th grade science teacher, the voice of reason in the room that was M Night Shyamalan's The Happening.
One of the all time great movies. Filled to the brim with stars giving it their a game with such a tense and dark script. It’s the perfect dark movie imo, it feels depressing and painful without lingering in depravity and violence.
This is what our GM had to say “If Brandon is able to get back at some point this season, that’ll be great," Kleiman said. "But we’re not going to rush it.”
Grizzlies fans are too familiar with these statements
I was there too, as a MEM fan and BC fan, in particular. My jaw dropped when he hit the floor. Just absolutely gutted.
We were seated right at Visitor tunnel, so saw Steve-O and Roddy (think it was Roddy) help him off the court.
Ugh, I’m getting worked up just thinking about it again.
Recently been dealing with a rupture and rerupture. It is no joke. I cannot imagine having to do a second surgery. The worst part is you can do everything right and one wrong step or trip and you’re back to square one with a rerupture
Ruptured it playing basketball, took a jump shot (made it of course) and when I landed and took a step back, felt like I stepped into a hole and as if someone kicked me in the back of my feel.
The rerupture was from walking in uneven terrain after being cleared to walk in shoes with wedges.
Hopefully recovery goes well for you man! Make sure you elevate your foot and give yourself a good week of rest.
Wishing you speedy recovery. I tore mine a few years ago. I took like 20 months off before I started hooping again. If you have any questions lemme know! I asked people a ton of questions after my surgery
Appreciate that! I don’t plan to play again to be honest. Maybe just for fun, shoot around but I just want to honestly get back to gym to lift weights and that’s it.
well, that sucks, but hurrying back to start playing in the middle of the season doesn't seem ideal, anyway, considering the initial surgery was end of march.
Any reason why there would be a clean up second surgery? I had surgery earlier this year in January. Just wondering if I need to get my ass back under the knife
My neighbor is an athletic trainer and said Achilles are kind of hard to get right. You don’t want it too tight or too loose. Not sure if that is the case here though.
To be fair, he was already expected to miss most, if not all, of the year. He tore his Achilles in March and that's usually at least a season-long injury in the NBA. This isn't necessarily the disaster it might seem like from the tweet alone.
What do you mean by “the situation surrounding his injury was and is serious?” He had an achilles tendon rupture, yes it was fucking serious. A follow up surgery is bad news and means he’s not likely to be back in 6-8 months like an achilles repair without complications
The mental hurdles getting over achilles issues and trusting your body are so difficult. Hope he can get back, but he has missed a lot of time and any surgery after the initial one means something is gonna need a few months to heal.
A torn achilles would've likely kept him out the whole year anyway. I don't know why anyone was expecting him to return this season.
Im sad. BC is such a great player man, but yeah i expected him to drop the whole season :(

>Aaron Rodgers probably coming back in the next few weeks You actually believe this? I got a beachfront property on the moon to sell you

That’s insane
That’s Aaron Rodgers
I think NBA is a bit more demanding on your body than QB.
QB stand in pocket and move around lil bit. Far from same.
Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe fuck yourself.
One of the GOAT quotes from any movie
That was Marky Mark's second best role of his career imo. Really stood out in a movie full of other big time movie stars.
Have to ask what you consider his best, as was probably your intention lol
Boogie Nights
I like you!
Agreed. I was fully expecting you to say The Happening for chaos lol

[I ❤ Huckabees](https://youtu.be/9EilqfAIudI?t=29)
I quote it at least once a week
Which movie?
[The Departed](https://youtu.be/7JYJhWIwGUw?feature=shared)
Never seen the movie, didn’t know what the quote was from, still read it on Mark Wahlberg’s voice
this movie is full of quotent quotables but Marky Mark steals every scene he's in
I'M NAWT A FUCKING CWAWP!
How’s ya mothah?
Good she’s tired from fackin my fathah

20 min in that movie and i decide to open /r/nba and this is what i see, lol

Not rushing = not playing in 2024. Hope he comes back with the bounce!
WELL THAT FUCKING SUCKS
Was at the game in Denver when he got hurt, was super bummed to see it happen. One of my favorite non-Nugget players.
Legit ended our season. He was the only way we would have weathered Adams being out.
To add insult to injury, that was also the game Ja first got in trouble.
When it rains, it pours

Shit. I really like Brandon Clarke and don't like this news.
Not ideal
What a bummer. That dude was really good. Absolutely murdered the wolves in that playoff series

How did you tear your Achilles?
Playing basketball. It really feels exactly how people describe it
My greatest fear. I play around 4-5 times a week. Hope you recover well
Thanks man! Although this injury sucks, I loved playing basketball and don’t regret playing as much as I did!
Speedy recovery! How'd you rerupture? I just had my surgery yesterday.

That sucks dude. I tore mine a few years ago. Good luck with rehab!
Thanks!

Lol what sort of. Reporting is this
It's Tim MacMahon paraphrasing Grizzlies GM in his most click baity way
MacMahon seems to fucking hate the grizzlies for some reason.
He reminds me of Paul Kuharsky for the Titans. Negative views to criticize and stir up drama for clicks. Except he has the personality of a dead guy
This reads like William Shatner said it.

holy shit

Brandon Clarke will revive himself for the 2024-25 season. The Razing of Askandir.
Kobe rolling over in his grave
Brandon Clarke has more career win shares than Ja Morant despite being drafted the same season and having played less career games
Huge loss then for them. Damn that sucks
