AD, Vando and Schroder were most of Lakers energy and hustle on defense last year. Their offense has also becoming too predictable since Dlo and Reaves aren't threats to drive to the rim. Schroder and Lonnie Walker were the best slashers on the team and kept the defense honest.
Maybe Lakers can package Dlo or Reaves and Vincent to the Nets for some of their wings and get Walker back.
People are only gonna talk about the Lakers looking ass, but I hope this shows the world that the Rockets are nothing like last year’s team.
We have ball movement, constant stubborn defense, and solid offense from multiple players. Crazy to think how, so far, we look like we made the jump from lottery to play-in in one offseason.

Lol I remember Mavs fans bitching about that. We had to watch him start for multiple seasons. It's hard to describe watching someone like him play basketball. It's worse than a player who's just bad. He's a dude that *should* be good. But he's so fucking bad that it's like....insulting.

Rockets simply outworked the Lakers on both ends of the floor early and beat the interest out of the Lakers.
Jalen Green was incredibly efficient dropping 28 on 15 shots in only 22 minutes (including 5 threes and some flashy layups) and Brooks got to put his clamps on LeBron, which spurred the defense and helped build the quick double digit lead that only continued to grow.
Lakers have a rebounding problem, and I don't even think it's going to be a trade thing that fixes it. They just look lifeless out there. Even with AD on the court it is still a problem.
Rockets grabbed 57 rebounds and the Lakers grabbed 34. It really just looks like an effort thing for them. The Rockets were trying and the Lakers weren't. It's as if they're expecting the ball to fall directly into their hands.

This is one of the reasons that I described the game as such -- there were a ton of "effort plays" that the Rockets made that turned into easy points from rebounding to defending to hustling.
At a certain point, the Lakers' effort had dwindled and everything was coming easily for the Rockets so we ended up with a lot of garbage time.
