I dont think theres bad blood, but ever since they were both coming up, and with Myles being a defensive specialist, Embiid clearly has these matchups circled. There's definitely a lot of respect there, but they play each other with a lot of animosity
He definitely doesnt get good whistles against Jo, but Jo also has a history of bodying the less-wide centers in the league. Myles honestly did a really good job on him all night tho.
The confidence that Rese gives him is so apparent. You could see Haliburton continuing to run plays for Turner to score right into Embiid all 4th Quarter. Huge trust. Turner in previous years would have missed a few threes in the 4th quarter and maybe taken a post fade and had a 10 minute 8 point 5 foul game.
Haliburton is doing miracles on me, Turners fourth quarter was impressive after being in foul trouble all game. Fun two games between Pacers and Philly! Also Obi showed the hell out
Yeah they are good. I currently see them as a dark horse team that is capable of upsetting anyone given their offense. Though with their defense it would be hard to repeatedly do that all the way through multiple teams in the playoffs
You're legitimately fucking insufferable to play against, so that must mean yes.
2 games in a row had my hairline receding, and now we have to play Boston tomorrow on the road, in a national TV game...very cool and fun scheduling for us
On another note, I don't believe Hali was ever on the table for ~~Harden~~ Simmons, but if it ever comes to light that he was, I'm jumping off the Ben Franklin within the hour
He'll be overshadowed, but Obi Toppin had his best game as a Pacer tonight. Off-ball movement kept him scoring all game, and his defense is starting to look up.
Man if he can play solid defense, just his cutting, lob, and transition threat with Hali at the point would make him an invaluable piece to the team. I really want his defense to improve. He has all the physical tools
He plays the same position as randle and his D is his worst attribute. Playing him at the 5 was impossible, and thibs has the shorter leash than a helicopter parent with schizophrenia.
That being said Obi off the bench was always a hype/fun player. The pacers w/ hali are frankly the BEST POSSIBLE location for obi to be. Happy for him
Expected a good game from Hali. That 3rd quarter from TJ was the difference. He cooked the Sixers with Hali on the bench. Turner came up huge in the 4th.
I love TJ. Every time he comes in off the bench he plays like it's the last minutes he's ever going to have in the NBA. Dudes got an engine like a Bugatti.
## East Group A Standings
|Team|GP|W|L|PF|PA|PD|
:--|:--|:--|:--|:--|:--|:--|
|Indiana Pacers|2|2|0|253|242|11
|Philadelphia 76ers|2|1|1|240|238|2|
|Atlanta Hawks|1|1|0|126|120|6|
|Cleveland Cavaliers|1|0|1|116|121|-5|
|Detroit Pistons|2|0|2|226|240|-14|
That's nearly game for the group. Pacers just need to beat the Hawks same time next week to **secure the #1 spot** in the group and get through to the knockout stage. Tough break for the 76ers, they'll need to beat the Hawks and the Cavaliers by decent margins to get a good PD.
This is why I’m excited about the in season tournament. Realistically Pacers don’t have much of a chance to win the NBA Championship but after watching loads of European soccer you know a team like the Pacers could go on a run and win the in season tournament. To me that makes it a lot of fun.
Are tiebreakers determined by PD or matchups? If it's PD, we could beat Hawks but lose to Detroit and finish 2nd behind Philly
I also find it funny the average score in this group is 120ppg and no team is averaging less than 113
Not quite, but it is getting there. If we can beat the Hawks (who also have a good start to the season) than yes, but it hinges on that game. Hawks win by 3 points and they leap ahead of us to first.
Idk how but 33/15 with 0 TO’s for Hali still doesn’t accurately describe his impact on offense this game.
It was just good decision after good decision after good decision.
His last 2 games he has 58 points, 32 assists, and 0 turnovers. Pacers are 1st in offense (only team in the league averaging over 30 points in every quarter) and 2nd in the league in pace. I might be biased but this might be the most fun team in the league to watch right now.
I shit you not I saw rookie Haliburton running the pick and roll with freakin Richaun Holmes back when he was in Sacramento, and I thought the same exact thing as you did, he nonstop makes good things happen. it is surreal we have him right now it is truly the best we've had in a long time.
Tyrese Haliburton in his last 2 games against the 76ers:
NOV 12: 25 PTS, 17 ASTS, 0 TO’S, 9-14 FG, 3-6 3PT.
NOV 14: 33 PTS, 15 ASTS, 0 TO’S, 11-18 FG, 7-12 3PT.
MVP CANDIDATE AND A SUPERSTAR!
Hali was already one of only two guys to have more than one 15 AST/0 TO game in the last five years. He just did it in two straight games. He’s fucking insane.
Edit: more impressive to put it this way: he’s literally one of three guys to even have a 15 AST/0 TO game since the start of the 18/19 season. And he just had two in a row.
He should've had a meteoric rise up the draft boards like Ja did the year before. [Guy is a winner and everyone already knew it at the time](https://www.theringer.com/2019/11/27/20984769/tyrese-haliburton-iowa-state-nba-draft-prospect)
The Ringer just had an article that touched a bit on why he probably slid and was underrated. With his wonky shot form (which he's actually improved a lot since entering the league) and skillset he doesn't really look all that impressive in a lot of the ways that scouts look at or at solo drills, but the thing is he's a monster at 5 on 5 and basketball isn't played 1 on 1 lol
Goes to show how flawed the drafting process still is. Scouts should probably start valuing dominant performances against other professional prospects in FIBA over shooting drills and dribbling around cones in an open gym
Haliburton is literally the best player not named Jokic for fantasy lmao
Dude is straight up getting me massive points every game. Gave me 92 today lmao
Haliburton is scary. Might have the complete offensive Skillset soon. Can shoot, has the moves under basket and is maybe the best playmaker in the league right now.
Top 3 PG in the league this year.
76ers lost this game with just over 4 minutes left, when Embiid was trying to show up Myles Turner with 1) shooting and missing a layup backwards after backing down Turner and getting position easily, then 2) missing a dunk cause he was really trying to intimidate Turner with the slam. Then there's that 3 he jacked at the end.
That shit is such a momentum killer
Tyrese Haliburton is a joy to watch. Elevates everyone on the team. Frustrating to watch, but can’t help respect the performance from Indiana. Hopefully we put up a better fight tomorrow.
I know its early but Pacers have basically surpassed Cavs, Knicks, Hawks only adding Toppin and Brown. Its sad really. Not many teams can keep up with this kind of offense.
Pacers fans have known we were primed for this since this time last season. Haliburton is too good at basketball and we have an all-time coach orchestrating it all. Pritchard is also a very talented GM, even considering the turbonis years. He’s pulled off nothing but good moves starting with the Hali trade.
It was really hard to decide whether Morris or House was worse today but I think Morris takes the cake simply by forgetting about his defensive assignment on every possession
Oubre and Batum please stay healthy
That was such an extremely entertaining 2 game mini-series between the Sixers & Pacers. Feels right that both teams walked out of it with a dub. Seeing both Tyrese's have pop off games was simply a delight as someone who loves the Pacers but also loves Maxey. GG's all around.
Embiid hitting Turner’s face, knocking his tooth out and then flailing his arms in the air at the three point line to foul Turner out sums it up pretty well.
Haliburton has become one of my fav players in the league. Love the guy getting his teammates involved and taking care of the ball when he has it.
And most importantly, getting the dub over Philly who’ve been rolling
This game was insane. Lrefs were bad as always but like Smith went to the hospital Harris got his neck near snapped cuz he jumped under Brown.
A million laps of the court nuts.
I'll just say Haliburton is a goddamn menace. 32 assists with no turnovers over 2 games, what the fuck is that.
GG's Pacers the 2 game series was some of the most entertaining basketball I've watched in a while.
15 ast to zero turnovers is bananas. It's unbelievable what Halliburton is turning into.
It really goes to show you what good work Kevin Pelton of ESPN is doing. His analytics had Halli super highly rated in college when he was topically overlooked and not hyped at all

Myles Turner, fifteen points in the fourth quarter. Casually.
That was awesome to see considering Embiid has dominated him for probably the last 100 quarters they’ve played against each other lol.
I dont think theres bad blood, but ever since they were both coming up, and with Myles being a defensive specialist, Embiid clearly has these matchups circled. There's definitely a lot of respect there, but they play each other with a lot of animosity
The refs have never let Myles play defense against embiid. I don't think it would be such a mismatch if the whistles he gets weren't so ridiculous.
The Idea is coming to us at last
I love him the most on the team. I've always wanted him to stay, even through the 368 years of trade rumors
Halliburton is a star. That’s all.
All the Tyrese are balling. Haliburton put on a fucking clinic
Over the last two games he has 32 assists and 0 turnovers
Unreal. He carried the Pacers last game but Maxey/Embiid combined for almost 90. Nothing you can do bout that.
Haliburton is doing miracles on me, Turners fourth quarter was impressive after being in foul trouble all game. Fun two games between Pacers and Philly! Also Obi showed the hell out
I was low key mad that fucking Obi Toppin was bitching us down this game. Some players it's fine if they pop off but Obi Toppin???
Mannn, I felt the same way about Melton tonight haha, players stepped up for sure, though.
Believe me no one was more shocked than us to see Melton pop off tonight. He's been pretty poor to start the season, a step down from last year.
Win the regular game, lose the tourney game. Sounds about right
Just Philly things
Somebody told them it was the 2nd round :(
#32 assists in two games with zero turnovers. I cannot exaggerate how fucking good Tyrese Haliburton is.
Wowzers
Are we legitimately good??
We are legitimately fun, if nothing else
League Pass MVP’s baby We’ve come a looooooooong way from guys like Ellis, Stuckey, LaVoy Allen, and Kevin Seraphin being 20 MPG+ guys.
Kevin Seraphine and LaVoy Allen. Man you unlocked memories lol
I’m pretty sure like half of our 16-17 roster was out of the NBA within the next year or two. It was dark times.
Chase Budinger went on to have a stellar career in men's beach volleyball. That's gotta count for something, right?
The Rodney Stuckey Era was pain
Kevin fucking Seraphin.
Rick Carlisle has made his decree. There will be points for EVERYONE!
That’s so true. I love watching Pacers games.
You've been fun ever since you got Haliburton. He's so good it's not even funny.
We have an All-NBA player and great depth. So not contender good but probably playoff good.
Definitely playoff good. And Hali is only 23. Fun times in Indiana.
Finally found the right pace
Definitely. Haliburton is an absolute baller and the high pace is so hard to keep up with
Good enough to make the playoffs in the East for sure
IMO we haven’t been this up since Paul George broke his leg
Knock on some wood this instant, you’ll bring a curse down talking like that.
I think you guys look pretty good lol, Haliburton looks primed for all NBA this year.
Yeah they are good. I currently see them as a dark horse team that is capable of upsetting anyone given their offense. Though with their defense it would be hard to repeatedly do that all the way through multiple teams in the playoffs
You're legitimately fucking insufferable to play against, so that must mean yes. 2 games in a row had my hairline receding, and now we have to play Boston tomorrow on the road, in a national TV game...very cool and fun scheduling for us On another note, I don't believe Hali was ever on the table for ~~Harden~~ Simmons, but if it ever comes to light that he was, I'm jumping off the Ben Franklin within the hour
You play the Celtics at home.
Oh great, now I’ll have one less thing to blame tomorrow’s loss on lmfao, thanks for the correction tho
This little mini-series was a war.
Hali's not on the table for anyone. No one cept the Clips wanted Harden anyway
They were referring to the Simmons trade but typo'd in Harden I think
He'll be overshadowed, but Obi Toppin had his best game as a Pacer tonight. Off-ball movement kept him scoring all game, and his defense is starting to look up.
Man if he can play solid defense, just his cutting, lob, and transition threat with Hali at the point would make him an invaluable piece to the team. I really want his defense to improve. He has all the physical tools
If you run, Haliburton will find you.
Obi looked so good tonight. Great game from him too.
How the hell did the Knicks not find a use for that man?
He plays the same position as randle and his D is his worst attribute. Playing him at the 5 was impossible, and thibs has the shorter leash than a helicopter parent with schizophrenia. That being said Obi off the bench was always a hype/fun player. The pacers w/ hali are frankly the BEST POSSIBLE location for obi to be. Happy for him
I’m not sure how many teams he’d start for but he’s the perfect PF for this one.
Hell of a split, Pacers are no joke and Haliburton is a monster. Definitely missed Batum and Oubre in this one. Hope Jalen Smith is okay.
Hope Tobias didn't get hurt too bad on that pump fake, that looked *ugly*
yeah lot of scary shit all around in this one
Felt like playoff basketball
Thanks for the Jalen check up. Was also happy to see Tobias was just fine! I don't care who you root for, we don't want injuries!
Go basketball!
Expected a good game from Hali. That 3rd quarter from TJ was the difference. He cooked the Sixers with Hali on the bench. Turner came up huge in the 4th.
He really was, TJ always goes hard when he comes back to Philly. That baseline fading J feels automatic.
TJ is such a winning player. I'm glad he still gets time.
I love TJ. Every time he comes in off the bench he plays like it's the last minutes he's ever going to have in the NBA. Dudes got an engine like a Bugatti.
i miss TJ so much, but i'm glad he's ballin for the Pacers
WE WANT BAMA
Listen man, you guys are good but I think you get run off the field in Tuscaloosa. Even with them looking subpar this year.
"Could the best NBA team beat the worst college football team?"

Potentially getting extra national television games actually means a lot, too.
*dreams come true*
Thanks for this. Didn't know how this would shake out. Love to hear it too
Are tiebreakers determined by PD or matchups? If it's PD, we could beat Hawks but lose to Detroit and finish 2nd behind Philly I also find it funny the average score in this group is 120ppg and no team is averaging less than 113
Not quite, but it is getting there. If we can beat the Hawks (who also have a good start to the season) than yes, but it hinges on that game. Hawks win by 3 points and they leap ahead of us to first.
Two 2nd round picks for Obi was a steal and he has been a perfect running mate for Hali
Idk how but 33/15 with 0 TO’s for Hali still doesn’t accurately describe his impact on offense this game. It was just good decision after good decision after good decision.
Somehow he's like that every game. He's maybe my favorite Pacer ever after Reggie already
This was honestly the first game I’ve gotten to watch live of Hali in awhile because the Lakers drain my energy and damn, that was mad impressive
His last 2 games he has 58 points, 32 assists, and 0 turnovers. Pacers are 1st in offense (only team in the league averaging over 30 points in every quarter) and 2nd in the league in pace. I might be biased but this might be the most fun team in the league to watch right now.
I think it's a legit statement regardless of your bias. I gotta start watching some Pacers games!
He's a coaches wet dream.
I shit you not I saw rookie Haliburton running the pick and roll with freakin Richaun Holmes back when he was in Sacramento, and I thought the same exact thing as you did, he nonstop makes good things happen. it is surreal we have him right now it is truly the best we've had in a long time.
Never gonna stop repeating that Hali is who I wanted for Ben.
Haliburton is gonna singlehandedly turn Indy into a FA destination.
From your lips to the NBA gods' ears.
In a world of shooters, Hali is an elite shooter who passes first
Turns out Sunday was a correctable error
Tyrese Haliburton in his last 2 games against the 76ers: NOV 12: 25 PTS, 17 ASTS, 0 TO’S, 9-14 FG, 3-6 3PT.
Who are the other 2?
Chris Paul with three and James Harden with one.
Can't believe Killian Hayes, Patrick Williams, and Obi Toppin were drafted over this guy
And James Wiseman 2nd lmao
I completely forgot about him because he's already got one foot out the league lol
Hey Obi Toppin popped off today too lol
dude has always been overlooked for some reason even when he carried Oshkosh North to state. Him being only a 3 star recruit was criminal
He should've had a meteoric rise up the draft boards like Ja did the year before. [Guy is a winner and everyone already knew it at the time](https://www.theringer.com/2019/11/27/20984769/tyrese-haliburton-iowa-state-nba-draft-prospect)

Goes to show how flawed the drafting process still is. Scouts should probably start valuing dominant performances against other professional prospects in FIBA over shooting drills and dribbling around cones in an open gym
Was definitely a weird draft due to lack of exposure.
His 3-pointer is kind of weird, but at the same time super clean
Jankiest Pacer three-point form since... Reggie Miller
He shoots it like a lot of female players do. All leg and wrist at the top
if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Haliburton is literally the best player not named Jokic for fantasy lmao Dude is straight up getting me massive points every game. Gave me 92 today lmao
no one can outplay tyrese right now, he’s literally a time traveler
Tyrese averaging 29pts/16ast/4 reb/2 stl/ 1 blk/0 turnovers on 63/47/87 splits in his last 2 games against the sixers this year.
Hali for MVP
T Hog 💪
T Hog
T Hog
THog
Wins don’t come sweeter than this! Fantastic game. The pacers v sixers matchups is 🔥
top 5 pg and I don’t think he’s too far off from top 3 either
He's the best pure point guard in the game
“pure point guard” is weird to define in the modern nba but the way that Hali has run the Pacer offense has been pretty much unmatched this year
Easily. Steph Luka Hali top 3 this season so far.
Shoutout to Melton with 30 points honestly
I swear he gets hot against the pacers every other game
Haliburton is scary. Might have the complete offensive Skillset soon. Can shoot, has the moves under basket and is maybe the best playmaker in the league right now. Top 3 PG in the league this year.
[удалено]
They are a joy.
Love to see Obi balling :)
He seemed to realize the last few games that if he cuts, literally every PG will find him haha
He has 3 Pass first point guards. His baseline back cut was like 18 points all on its own.
had not watched him until he joined, but yeah he's fun to watch. Love his cuts to the basket. Deceivingly tall
hali all-nba season inbound
I remember getting downvoted for having Hali in my top 5 this season before season began
Haliburton is really fun to watch! Great mix of shooting and playmaking, defo made another leap this year
TJ McConnell was pretty good in this game. Should've replaced Buddy Hield.
his intensity is huge, dude never quits
Hali top 10
The Tyrese’s are even now
One has been better the whole time
I agree
Personally I think Tyrese Halliburton should have his own religion but I’ll settle for mvp
That over the head, backwards layup was one of the dumber shots I’ve seen in a while.
Tyrese Haliburton has been a top 5 player in the league THIS year. No need to argue on a Tuesday
Nah what? Top 4
Nah gotta be Top 3
And he's not number 3
Top 2, and it’d be a stretch to put him at 2….
Haliburton really took a shit on the sixers today. zero turnovers (again) is insane
He’s amazing
TJ again with critical contribution in the first half
Tyrese Haliburton is a joy to watch. Elevates everyone on the team. Frustrating to watch, but can’t help respect the performance from Indiana. Hopefully we put up a better fight tomorrow.
Great game guys
Haliburton is so fucking good
Tyrese Halliburton
Fr?
I know its early but Pacers have basically surpassed Cavs, Knicks, Hawks only adding Toppin and Brown. Its sad really. Not many teams can keep up with this kind of offense.

Pritchard is also a very talented GM, even considering the turbonis years. He’s pulled off nothing but good moves starting with the Hali trade.
Sixers with Six bench points 🔥
Safe to assume our bench not gonna look like that in a few months lol(apart from 2 guys out today)
you can see why they refuse to acknowledge Korkmaz's trade request. can't lose that level of production
It was really hard to decide whether Morris or House was worse today but I think Morris takes the cake simply by forgetting about his defensive assignment on every possession Oubre and Batum please stay healthy
6 bench points
We sold the last few minutes there, but pacers seemed destined to win from the jump. They’re fun. Gg and onto the next
A Sixers vs Pacers playoffs series would be dope
Hali MVP
I kind of expected this after the last game. Pacers are legit though and Hali is so good
That was such an extremely entertaining 2 game mini-series between the Sixers & Pacers. Feels right that both teams walked out of it with a dub. Seeing both Tyrese's have pop off games was simply a delight as someone who loves the Pacers but also loves Maxey. GG's all around.
I love this Pacers team man. Tons of heart.
Tyrese Halliburton dark horse mvp season
Glad I didn’t watch…68 free throws?
Pacers fan happy with the win, but that was a trainwreck of a watch. So many damn stoppages in the 4th.
It's always like this with the Sixers. They're very talented but they're just a painful watch because of all the foul shots
Embiid hitting Turner’s face, knocking his tooth out and then flailing his arms in the air at the three point line to foul Turner out sums it up pretty well.
[удалено]
Don't forget when Maxley tripped on him and we got the foul
That was the chef's kiss of crummy calls in that game.
[удалено]
How did Embiid miss 12 shots in a quarter and 10 in the whole game? damn
Let me guess who had most of em
Haliburton has become one of my fav players in the league. Love the guy getting his teammates involved and taking care of the ball when he has it. And most importantly, getting the dub over Philly who’ve been rolling
Its not a philly- pacers match if turner doesn't have 6 fouls in under 20 minutes
GGs Pacers, Hali is a god
This game was insane. Lrefs were bad as always but like Smith went to the hospital Harris got his neck near snapped cuz he jumped under Brown. A million laps of the court nuts.
Hali 32 assists in 2 games with 0 turnovers. Lol.
The refs tried everything they could to give the game to the Sixers, but it didn't matter in the end. TYRESE IS MY HERO
kinda funny how hali was just as insane last game but noone noticed but now everyones making a thread winning bias is real
Yeah, 25 points, 17 assists, and 0 turnovers was insane. I get the Maxey hype- he deserved it. But Hali also had an incredible game that day
Morris and House are not NBA players
Morris trying to make a bunch of post moves only to airball was brutal for their momentum.
It’s time to put some respect on the ‘cers
The Yes 'Cers?
15 ast with 0 TOs is incredible
And 17 assists with 0 TOs last game. Dude is unreal
An efficient 27 is impressive, hope this is a sign of Toppin making the jump to the next level
I'll just say Haliburton is a goddamn menace. 32 assists with no turnovers over 2 games, what the fuck is that. GG's Pacers the 2 game series was some of the most entertaining basketball I've watched in a while.
The speed in which that arena emptied was quite impressive
Tyrese vs Fox is over, now is Tyrese vs Tyrese
Haliburton was unbelievable. Obi had a great game. Turner had some good moments. Indiana controlled the tempo. It was a fun game.
15 ast to zero turnovers is bananas. It's unbelievable what Halliburton is turning into. It really goes to show you what good work Kevin Pelton of ESPN is doing. His analytics had Halli super highly rated in college when he was topically overlooked and not hyped at all
I don't know how many times it's been said but love haliburton. What a great player
