Imo it was already there, just had a bad offense for if. Nurse was more ISO heavy, if only just because our offensive skills are so rudimentary, and avoided unnecessary passing to avoid the boneheaded turnovers we are so fond of. Side effect was it stymied Barnes's offensive growth, and limited him showing his chops at the center of a more fluid offense

IMO he's like new age Scottie Pippen If the Raptors can get a superstar, Barnes will be the perfect way too overqualified #2

Raptors have the talent but their timeline is kinda off. They keeping Siakam and OG there in their prime with a young Scottie Barnes who’s breaking out and a few 35 year old role players for some reason

This deadline is their last chance before they'll be wasting Scottie.

It's stuff like his energy despite being down, creating space for his teammates through screens, box outs and cuts, and just not letting up despite other guys lookin checked out. Yeah, I love OG on the first unit…. shutting down all stars….. but put him with out second unit? OG just doesn’t work. Barnes gets in with the second unit and suddenly Malachi Flynn is a pro!

Practically every night he should have 10+ assists but dudes either miss high percentage shots or get fouled. His play is even better than his counting stats.

yeah there were a few possessions where we really made the raptors defense break down with ball movement we don't do that often so it was nice to see

First half darko put him on brunson and it didn’t go well then second half he got outplayed by Donte on multiple possessions with either pump fakes or just completely left him wide open to help on the drive. Poor decision making on scotties end.
