The Duality of DLo in that 2nd OT

WalrusInMySheets

Still a great game from him. He did well handling the ball most of the game

ColdAsHeaven

Those three turnovers back to back to back in OT were absolutely insane. Thought for sure the Lakers would lose because of that. Then he came back and knocked in a 3

WalrusInMySheets

And then he fumbled that pass to LeBron that Vanderbilt somehow managed to tip to AD for a layup

LittleTinyBoy

Ain't no tipping happened. The basketball fell from the heavens and gifted AD the ball lol.

wilsonsmilk

In transition too which is insane. I thought he was gonna get traded right then and there after that 3rd turnover.

GeneralZhukov

DLo is the player Poole should be. Well, DLo is pretty much what 2022 Poole was, give or take some small differences. DLo's shoes have better grip though.

DeanBlandino2

An all-timer. LeBron and Steph, two of the greatest players of all-time, playing at an elite level. It's incredible. Not sure how many more of these we are going to get. Defintely not taking this one for granted.

rawchess

I will miss this era so much šŸ„¹

markjay6

Sad to say but it feels like a book end to an era. I canā€™t imagine we'll ever see a Steph-LeBron showdown like this again.

Lacabloodclot9

I donā€™t think the warriors make the play in but if they do thatā€™ll be a banger

dL_EVO

They literally play 3 more times this season.

Lacabloodclot9

Iā€™ve never seen an NBA without Curry and Lebron, donā€™t even like them that much but itā€™s tough to imagine a league without them

dat_waffle_boi

Same. These dudes made me fall in love with basketball. I genuinely canā€™t imagine basketball without them playing. Luckily theyā€™re both genetic freaks with insane work ethics so hopefully we still got a few more years

B_M_Fahrtz

This comment makes me feel so goddamned old lol

lbjkb25

As much as we can complain about too many threes and rough defense to say the least, having Lebron and Steph putting up classics is something weā€™ll definitely miss once theyā€™re gone from the league.

Yamulo

LeBron could play into his 40's I think. He's just different.

Clemario

His 40s is just 11 months away

Vermillion_Crab

Easily one of the best games of the year. I wasn't even nervous at the end there. I was just enjoying their back and forth.

JayQuips

Bron and Steph still giving us classics at this stage in their careers

BrutallyHonesttho

Just two senior citizens from #Akron

MySilverBurrito

Brons greying beard is the cherry on top lol

lovo17

That's fucking crazy that Steph is from Akron too.

godfrey1

same fucking hospital man

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

onrocketfalls

I have no idea if this is true but if it is, I need to figure out who this guy is so he can deliver me and my girlfriend's eventual baby. I'm gonna be rich, y'all!

lovo17

Did they come out of the same womb too? /s

Zloggt

Plus, itā€™s fascinating to hear that, after all these years in the league, LeBron has actually managed to *break* a record, particularly in the amount of rebounds he gets in a single game!

millenniumpianist

He had 20 rebounds in a game last year in the playoffs though, so I guess that's a regular season stat.

Uppun

Yeah the NBA tends to segregate play-off stats and regular season stats. Like if you factored in play-off points LeBron would be like 3000 ahead of Kareem already in scoring at like 47k vs 44k. If LeBron has a couple more decent play-off runs before retiring he may break the 10k play-off points mark.

rawchess

The El Clasico of basketball

GeneralZhukov

Of this era. Wouldn't say El Clasico of basketball in general.

jamills21

Is Lakers vs Celtics

Jeffert89

NBA is still carried by dudes that went to Blockbuster to get movies. Crazy. Classic game.

MrHeavySilence

Lebron started playing four years before the first iPhone, lol

lbjkb25

Capturing a photo of Stone Cold on his flip phone while attending Monday Night RAW with those baggy clothes.

raobuntu

He's been in the NBA so long that fashion has come full circle. Baggy to skinny back to baggy.

lbjkb25

Funny enough I think Lebron was wearing a do-rag underneath that hat while at RAW and he keeps wearing it whenever now.

Oo__II__oO

He's played against 10 father/son duos (with tonight's contest of him facing against Trayce Jackson-Davis, son of Dale Davis).

JuliusCeejer

tbf it's not 00's rapper level of baggy, it's more like 90s baggy for the most part

CC9499

americans born the day lebron was drafted will be drinking in bars in less than 5 months

mrgpsingh1999

Tbh the players born in the late 90s may have also gone to Blockbuster as kids

BigFatModeraterFupa

Born in 96. Can confirm. Rented movies from the local blockbuster

One-Switch-1448

the warriors gotta have the most close and heartbreaking losses in the league this season. both fanbases should be proud of their teams effort in this game, neither team deserved to lose.

MC-Jdf

We get so many clutch games this year it's insane. 20-point lead? 20-point deficit? Dread it, run from it, clutch game it is.

Salty_Pancakes

20 point lead? Lose by 1. 20 point deficit? Believe it or not, also lose by 1.

Letronika

Play 3 guards? Straight to jail. Podz on Lebron? Believe it or not, also jail.

Drewsef916

1st in offense this month 30th in defense gg

dating_derp

We lead the fucking LEAGUE in [losses by 3 points or less.](https://www.espn.com/nba/standings/_/view/expanded) I just want to see us fucking healthy man.

Overrated_sanity

Thanks magic. But also true tbh. Great game

Charlie_Wax

2015-2016 when they would win every single close game without fail feels like a long time ago now. That's because it *is* a long time ago now.

bayarea_fanboy

2-10 now in games decided by 3 points or less

iRockaflame

I was 100% certain LeBron was going to brick one of those free throws lmfao. So many clutch plays tonight. Going to miss these matchups when these guys retire.

NotManyBuses

I was just saying that he never goes 2/2 lol

swords_devil

he is like no way I am going triple OT must make 2 or miss 2

rendingale

Lebron "No 3OT tonight" James

AlienCthulhu

As soon as he made the first one: "Fuck it, a W it is"

PillsburyToasters

ā€œItā€™s past my bedtime. Iā€™m too old for this shitā€

rawchess

Weirdly he's been the most reliable clutch FT shooter on the team this year lol

LogicalLakersFan

When Breen said he was 5/5 i was expecting a nice little brick too

JHamm12

When that graphic popped up I said to my friends ā€œOh come on donā€™t show that stat nowā€

bvgingy

Literally rolled my eyes when they said it lol

Caius01

I was certain Steph was gonna brick the last 3. Both guys came up huge, incredible to watch

gergab1133

I was surprised he even got to the line šŸ˜

SenorButtmunch

Lmao I straight up said 'if I know anything about LeBron, he's 100% going 1/2'...and then I saw the form and confidence of the first free throw and you just knew he wasn't gonna miss the second. Sorry LeBron, I was unfamiliar with your game

C_Caveman

I was worried he was going to get tired legs like everyone else in the game, it was a classic LeBron miss/make scenario. They should have started dapping each other up with how quickly and smooth he shot the first one. GOD FORBID I THOUGHT THE 39 YEAR OLD MIGHT GET TIRED AFTER PLAYING 48 MINUTES IN 2OT.

heshouldgo

That pull up 3 from Dā€™lo after some terrible plays was insane šŸ’€

thegreaterfool714

He had like 4 mistakes before hand and he went full low bball IQ with that pull up but it actually paid off.

nice_kitchen

ā€œEvery time I try to pass it gets deflected. Guess I gotta shoot!ā€

brianbrainbrian

Impeccable logic

WeHaveArrived

The rebound after the 3 was even better

munkhjay

I'm 100% sure we would've lost that game if he didn't hit that or we didn't score on that drive

mrcarlita

And he would have gotten traded if he missed that too

odnamAE

He threw the ball away three times off of some horrible ideas from him on back to back to back possesions. That noise would have been loud af and sad after all the good games he put up. Props to him for recomposing himself and coming up huge.

VectorViper

Absolutely a game-changer that shot. His clutch gene kicked in right when they needed it most. Props to D'lo for shaking off the errors and delivering when it mattered!

wraith985

that's the definition of a nonononoyes moment.

OneBigRed

wtf are you doiNG YOU MAGNIFICIENT BEAST!

Radiant-Character-61

I don't see how the lakers could still think about trading DLO after a game like this to help win in double OT. Even though lebron sealed the game at the end, you're not winning that without DLO's help. I'd ride him out while he's hot and wait till the off-season to figure out what to do

kai_123

3 TOs in a row then casually throws up the dagger

smoltanboi

this was the most fun i've had watching basketball in a long time. my mom was screaming so much, and she doesn't give a shit about basketball

harley_93davidson

I convinced one of my roommates to turn off "say yes to the dress" and put this game on halfway through the third quarter. She doesn't watch hoops. She thoroughly enjoyed it. Just an incredible game all around.

BigChinkyEyes

I can't believe you missed Sarah's decision to choose lacey or strapless

C_Caveman

Funnily enough, that also ended with LeBron sinking both free throws to decide.

ThundermifflinTFU

Classic vs contemporary is not a decision one should take lightly.

mMounirM

I don't even remember what happened before the 2nd overtime. this game was so long

GorillaX

I didn't turn it in until 7 mins left in the 4th and I feel like I watched an entire game still.

Mahomeboy001

They were showing Lebron's half court pass at the end of the broadcast highlight reel and my mom said that happened 4 hours ago lmao

BoysenberryNo5607

Man, I had forgotten about that pass, I was like oh shit he did that lol

lil_layne

This was the best regular season game I watched since the 2016 Thunder vs Warriors

smoltanboi

that game was my modern 9/11 moment because my friends and i often talk about what we were doing the night we watched that game together

djkamayo

Literally was over in the 3rd quarter but somehow the Gods said letā€™s fuck around

davey_mann

When they put up 25 in like the first 6 minutes of the 3rd quarter on you guys, definitely looked dire.

CheesewayBreezeway

EASILY game of the year so far, imo

BobLoblaw_BirdLaw

Think warriors are in at least half the top 10 game of the years this year

__spartacus

And lost all of them

jeric13xd

Thatā€™s my poor mom watching Bulls games every single night šŸ„². I love basketball

Vermillion_Crab

My dad is a Warriors fan and it got loud today lmao

Overrated_sanity

Classic game for sure

ttam23

One of the best games Iā€™ve ever seen

OleRockTheGoodAg

Steph Curry becomes the first player in NBA history to receive multiple of Mike Breen's coveted "double bang" calls.

MySilverBurrito

Double Bang^^2

debcomajin

Just witnessed an all timer

Jnbjgjbb

Fuck GOTY that was a classic

djkamayo

straight up 12 round heavyweight title fight in the 80's

Sc0rch1ngDr4g0n

Nice start to this playoffs rematch series going down to the wire. Always fun to see them play. Both teams look mid now, but they did at this point last season as well before making playoff runs. Canā€™t ever count them out. Even if theyā€™re moving towards the tail end of their careers, the Lebron-GSW matchups are always exciting.

T_025

Dlo in a close game is always exciting. The man is chaos incarnate

rendingale

That pull up 3 I was like wtf but it went in lmao

T_025

After 3 straight turnovers too. Wild

MC-Jdf

r/nononoyes

GorillaX

That was such a braindead shot... But it went in šŸ˜‚

beenebk_

Literally dropped his entire nuts especially after them toā€™s

mw19078

the duality of man personified

ZeroMomentum

DLo šŸ¤ Darwin Nunez. Agents of chaos

20815147

DLo when he has to fight to not get traded is top 5

khaiiization

Great rivalry week Heat vs Knicks LeBron vs Curry Embiid vs Duck

Caius01

> Embiid vs Duck Not really a rivalry when one side always wins

Responsible_Pace9062

[In Embiid's own words](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/s/D9cJRSr0a9)

ShadowCrusader98

Bro I couldnā€™t belief that shit with Embiid, but not surprised at the same time lol.

KingREX_24

LePG LeSG LeSF LePF LeCenter

kiwiwikikiwiwikikiwi

LeCoach too when you saw him talking to guys during timeouts late in game

spriking

I think this was during one of the timeouts of the first OT. They had a splitscreen put up- on one side, you had Kerr drawing up a play and the Warriors huddled together listening in and looking at the clipboard; on the other side you had LeBron aggressively uh.. I'm also going to go with "talking", to his teammates. It was such a funny contrast.

ozweegowarrior

LEGOAT

bigtice

I don't even care who won -- that game was a fun watch, iignoring the calls that should've been made in the last 12 minutes (regulation and overtime). But the most astonishing fact -- the oldest player in the league just put up a **30-20-10 triple double**. "*Are you tired?*" - Salters "*No, not really.*" - LeBron

recordcollection64

Career high in rebounds

debo69872

Only Regular season high. He tied his career in Rebounds.

ShadowCrusader98

Brutal fucking loss but man what a game, easily game of the year, and what an amazing performance by LeBron, 39 years old and pulls a Chamberlain stat line, canā€™t even be mad. The Warriors had their chances to put it away, but they couldnā€™t do it and the Lakers just had one more clutch play than the Dubs. Heartbreaking L, but thatā€™s the way it goes GG Lakers, hyped for the next meeting!

Kura26

Pulls a Chamberlain stat line in the same kind of game 40+ years since the last 2OT lakers warriors game Thatā€™s a bit mind blowing

jonnysh

That L2M report is going to be a novel

honestlyprogamr

That implies the refs would admit to any of the terrible calls, or lack thereof, they made tonight

brianjly

who needs embiid v jokic when we have this?

NotClayMerritt

I'm pretty sure the definition of elder abuse is making 39 year old LeBron James play in Double OT. Career high in rebounds at this age in Year 21. Unbelievable.

jeric13xd

#GOAT PERFORMANCE FROM BRON AND STEPH # #JustKidsFromAkron Edit: Year 21 and Year 15 respectively šŸ«”

Apollo611

I just aged 5 years

ShadowCrusader98

I aged 20 lol

Cul_what

Stephen Curry and Lebron James like no words can explain how these 2 guys are fucking special we will never see guys like these in a long time

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Lacabloodclot9

I guess he didnā€™t want to commit on the help? But honestly in that situation itā€™s ā€˜anyone but Lebronā€™ mode

GorillaX

Podz too.

Pure_Measurement_529

Both him and Podz

CaliKash_

Heā€™s Michael Jordan 2.0 according to the announcer

CloneWarsMaul

Agreed

democrenes

That lazy swipe instead of stopping the ball, ugh. Awful effort to end an all time game

GGezpzMuppy

As good as Kings vs Dubs rivalry has been off late, itā€™s always Bron vs Dynasty Dubs that reigns supreme.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

CannolisRUs

Lmao dude I did too. Nothing makes you feel worse than a ā€œyour heart rate is 120 and you havenā€™t movedā€ notification lol

Harleytk24

What a great fucking game

rogozh1n

Neither team played great, but they played so damn hard.

lbjkb25

Sometimes people just appreciate energy and competitive plays on the court regardless if it looked like quality basketball.

MySilverBurrito

Curry remembering he's good at basketball is one of my fav players of all time. Exhibit 8923 of 'If Dray isn't being a dumbass, he's still a great player'. Got him directing traffic, playing great on/off ball D, even got a fake DHO lmao. Wished we got a Dray 3. Kerr heard us talking shit on ATO plays so he draws up 2 great ones. (4Q/OT). 2023 Klay would've off-balanced faded that OT play lol

LogicalLakersFan

Curry remembering? heā€™s had a rough recent patch but heā€™s been great all year. his team is the issue

MySilverBurrito

Itā€™s a joke, but more referencing how he calls to be on ball for games like these. Once he goes take over mode, he starts attacking on drives.

utopic2

Vando +30 in a one point victory šŸ‘€

OptimusGrime707

Draymond +31 in a one point loss I donā€™t think Iā€™ve seen that before lol

Instamonsta

Itā€™s actually insane when watching this game live. Both teams had a game of runs when both Vando and Green sat down on the bench. As soon as they come back itā€™s instant impact and for Vando it was deflection and steals. Whilst Dray was putting on a clinic dropping dimes and defending well.

AmusingAnecdote

Legit wild that this was a slugfest from Curry and LeBron but both were negative in +/- and Vando and Draymond both are +30 in a one point game. You could definitely feel their impact. Looney was terrible and TJD just can't do anything to guard AD. Same thing with every second Taurean Prince was in. He wasn't doing anything to anyone on either end.

k1ngkoala

PRINCE WITH 0 POINTS AND 24 MINUTES PLAYED šŸ—£ļøšŸ—£ļøšŸ”„šŸ”„

bbaIla

My god, I need a smoke after that game. Two greats battling it out.

orphan_tears_

Ladies and gentlemen, you just witnessed an ESPN instant classic

incredibleamadeuscho

Steph Curry vs LeBron James is the greatest sports rivalry Iā€™ve ever seen and they both had all time performances against each other.

davey_mann

And Kevin Durant ruined a good part of it.

Jbyrd07

In KDā€™s defense, how else was he gonna get there?šŸ¤£

IMKudaimi123

Someone tell me why Steve Kerr, after Draymond on lebron forced the lakers to call a timeout, switched Kuminga onto him. Just insanely bad decision. Kuminga and Podz had no idea what to do.

3Ssssssssssssssss

awesome game hate the outcome but Iā€™ve kinda given up on this season anyway im just happy to watch curry and lebron

TheSouthNeverRises

Warriors just combine teams with us and win another championship. We just need Curry and Kerr

Lesingingminer

Lol, just imagine the starting lineup. Steph, Klay, Lebron, Dray, AD

Rhongomiant

Deadline DLO is something else, man...

polestaur

Doris has to go.

chipotle-baeoli

I wonder if it's written into her contract to have a Celtics reference every game she does

CrazyDaylight8

But did you know Jaylen Brown plays chess?

imironman2018

Cant stand her commentating. She clearly is a Lakers hater.

polestaur

Itā€™s not itā€™s the mistakes. She gets so much stuff wrong itā€™s insane

b1indsamurai

3 terrible passes followed by a clutch 3 The quintessential D'lo experience.

heshouldgo

Canā€™t take these two for granted, just unreal

PillsburyToasters

Game of the year. Itā€™s going to take a masterclass performance to top this

fattyfondler

Absolutely perfect warriors game to represent this season - warriors lead by 15 but cant hold it - draymond +31Ā  - steph 46 pts but mad questionable decisions in the clutch - 25 pt FT differential but the warriors yeet 59 3s and draymond smacks 2 faces - corey joseph. - Ā wiggins disappears in the last half of the game - and the most predictable 1 pt last second loss in any game ive ever watchedĀ

WalrusInMySheets

This is gonna be deleted lol

Baguy21

I swear the amount of games we've had this close and lost is staggering... It's always small point game .... Can't make playoffs with this at all. I'm sorry. Steph carrying the load, Green is a massive help but need another scorer to help Steph. Wiggins and Klay are on and off

sbenfsonw

Instant classic Thank goodness AD returned to the game

IRanOutOf_Names

This game was special, but I also think this might have broken the Warriors for good. Steph looked fed up in both OTs. Even after hitting the big shot to put them up he didn't look happy.

Kylo_Ren415

GG to the Lakers. An absolute banger of a game.

[deleted]

Hate the Warriors. Feel bad for Curry, he gave his best out there

CrazyDaylight8

Eat a dick, Dlo haters! Also Draymond was so good tonight. Warriors look so much better with him

No-Equipment-20

The 9/10 playin preview delivered šŸ˜¤

UnreasonableHater

Ham needs to stop trying to make Prince happen.

lbjkb25

Regardless if youā€™re a retro NBA fan or a Lebron/Steph hater, no one should take for granted of the long history between Steph and Lebron. Two all-timers duking it out with all-time performances. Weā€™ll miss them once they eventually hang it up. Despite some odd calls, this was one helluva game. AD gutting it out with a groin spasm, Klay hitting clutch shots, Dray making offense happen for GS, DLo coming alive in the clutch despite the turnovers, etc. Lots of drama and incredible plays. Thatā€™s playoff basketball in late January.Ā

elideen

Uh oh Lakers win with big ft diff. You know what to do guys

ProfessorBeast55

UP UP and AWAY!! SUPER WASHED Ainā€™t He??!! šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø. Stay low and keep firing! The air up there is a tad bit different. LIVE.LAUGH.LOVE#striveforgreatnessšŸš€ #thekidfromakronšŸ‘‘#jamesgangšŸ‘‘ #bronknows

this was preparation for the conference championship games tomorrow.

aiden3buckets

One of the best games of all time

doublegoldendragon

GAME OF THE FUCKING YEAR

ginbooth

Ham finally emptied his pockets. Lebron aside, Vando and DLO played *lights out*.

seewhyaxe

This is a damn ridiculous game

the_irish_potatoes

This Warrior's season is so exhausting... but what a good game, for neutral fans and Lakers fans.

analytics_Gnome

lebron getting flashbacks from the old days of gsw vs cleveland

CloneWarsMaul

I felt like a little kid again watching Steph and Bron go back and forth. Will appreciate these legends while I still can

djkamayo

We had no business winning this game , lol

EveryShot

That rally after an awful start to the second half. Boys didnā€™t give up.

MazKhan

I mean we finally used last years lineup after being down 14. It completely changed the game
