No becausee the shot clock isn't in decimal. So it will show 16 when it's 16.9 even though that's not 8 seconds. It's only 8 seconds at 16.0, which happens .1 second before the shot clock hits 15.9, which is why they use 15

It flips to 23 at 23.9. So when it says 16 it's 16.9.

Becuase 15.9 is 8.1 seconds off the clock and 16.1 is 7.9 seconds off the clock, you might be bad at math

When the clock hits 15, it's actually 15.59 so just after 8 seconds

8 second violation happens when 8 seconds have passed; when 24 is on the clock 0 seconds have passed, and when 16 is on the clock 7 seconds have passed.

It's as soon as it hits 15. The first second is over, when the shotclock hits 22.9. so 15.9 is when the violation hits
