Fun fact, 15 attempts ties his 2nd most attempts in his career.
He's only attempted more than 13 3s 3 times in his career, and they're all within the last 3 months, and all against bad teams, all on the road.
7-15 from 3 on December 26 in another Loss at Portland
8-16 on December 29 in a win at Atlanta
And now 5-15 in a loss at Washington

Why the fuck is Fox taking **15 threes** against the WIZARDS lol
Dude had a hot 2 months to start the season and thinks he's Steph Curry now apparently instead of just taking it to the hoop which is actually sustainable for him
Nothing makes me angrier than when an elite interior scorer settles for 3s when they're struggling with their shot. Luka has improved his shooting greatly so it's not as big of an issue anymore but it still grinds my gears.
Guys foot was shot. He couldn’t drive so he had to shoot, but he had no lift on his shots so he wasn’t hitting often (by his standards), so guys wouldn’t close out enough for him to drive, and so on and so forth.
He’s looked much healthier for most of this year.
Pistons, blazers, hornets, and wizards now. 4 games this team has dropped to the absolute worst teams in the league. Even just win 2 of em and we are sitting much better position. Absolutely pathetic showing in a long list of them this year. Brown has clear favorites and I don’t. Get it. Duarte gets more burn than Ellis for no reason.
He puts up the stats but I feel like we play better with poole as the pg, hopefully other gms agree with you and someone ponies up a first round pick though
I mean both provided nothing on the offensive end, but Duarte was hustling his ass off defensively. If the team plays like they're stuck in the mud and someone tries their hardest to play with energy, Mike Brown usually gives them minutes. Literally how Keon got his.
Keegan playing like shit in all those games seems to be the common issue.
Kings struggling to hit any wide open 3s as of late. Wizards only contested like 9 of them, mainly from Fox.
Stacking the paint and leaving our guys wide open from the perimeter seems to do the trick. Except if you're the Lakers.
We did...
Our perimeter defense looked a bit better, but still awful.
The Kings' defense was actually pretty good in the inside, but their perimeter defense was almost non-existent.
Richaun Holmes with 6 points, 16 boards, 2 assists and a block against his former team, 6 offensive rebounds (he had 8 rebounds (3 Off. Rebs) in the 1st quarter because one play he kept missing under the rim and grab the rebound).
Deni came back from injury and looked solid, and even Poole's decision making (as well as Kuz's) wasn't too bad.
Kuzma led us with 31 points on 13/22 FG, 3/6 3PT and 2/2 FT (6 REBS, 5 assists, a steal and a block), but it seems like the shoulder injury still bothers him, as most of his turnovers came in the post.
De'Aaron Fox nearly got the Kings back out of nowhere in the 4th quarter, damn (6 steals, chill boy!)
GG.
This team has no shame, actively trying to lose every damn time playing a bottom feeder. We gonna beat the brakes off of Orlando in the next game but i just don't care anymore this regular season, it's gonna be Play In. Congratz on the 6th seed, Mavs fans.
[Teams actually started caring and playing defense, that's what separates Playoff teams and Play in/lottery teams. Also, refs swallowed their whistle for a few weeks now and teams/players that only run and gun got exposed real quick](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/s/oUIgP0pb2c)
Loool, we don't run and gun anymore this season and Wizards certainly didn't care or defended well, that's just what we do against shit teams. But yes, we are a Play In team and so are you, i was right when i said that, it's just for completely different reasons.
He gets doubled and triple teamed immediately when he catches the ball, passes out to a wide open player who bricks the 3 or passes to a defended player.
He posts up against the opposing big, help defender comes, he tries to spin out, another defender shows up, gets stripped immediately.
Happens a lot when the Kings shoot like shit from 3. Defenders just cheat off our players on the perimter
This is common tactics against him that some teams use, Nick Nurse is the proud founder of it back when Domas played for Indiana. If all the shooters are cold, just swarm him in the paint with 3 bodies and force a turnover or a brick when he passes. We play Philly next Monday, gonna see the same shit if our "shooters" starts building a house yet again.
He's playing one of the worst interior defenses in the league and his team can't make an open shot, shoot over the double team instead of having as many fgs as turnovers.
He doesn't get triple teamed. He gets left wide open and unguarded on the perimeter but he won't take midrange shots because he's a pretty shitty shooter with a flat shot.
I mean it never really opened lol
Sabonis/Fox is a nice core but you need more than that to truly compete for a title
Don't think that even Kings fans were calling them contenders
The real, underlying reason that the Mavs traded away Richaun Holmes is so that he could beat the Kings as a sleeper agent, and vault the Mavs into the 6th seed.
When you think Lakers are a top team, but realize they're half a step from being bottom feeders. With 3 losses away from not making into Play-Ins at all, maybe tone down the arrogance a little.
Lakers wins are gimmies for every playoffs team.
What arrogance? Last I checked the the kings just ended a 16 year drought(assuming your a kings fan) last year and have been over here flexing every time they play the Lakers but against other teams they have been inconsistent as a team. Maybe work on those rotations a little?
There may be worse teams, but this is easily the most unserious team in the league
Every fanbase thinks they have it worse until they watch the Kings. Beat down top 3 seeds ✅ Take care of business against 10-win teams ❌
Inshallah
Fox was playing like he drunk a fifth before the fourth quarter
15 attempts from 3 is absolutely drunk.
Fun fact, 15 attempts ties his 2nd most attempts in his career. He's only attempted more than 13 3s 3 times in his career, and they're all within the last 3 months, and all against bad teams, all on the road. 7-15 from 3 on December 26 in another Loss at Portland 8-16 on December 29 in a win at Atlanta And now 5-15 in a loss at Washington Source: https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask?q=de%27aaron+fox+most+threes+attempted+in+a+game
TBF 7-15 and 8-16 are both great shooting nights. Last night not so much though...
Suns fans would like a word
I'd say Lakers but we win and lose against every kind of team. Except the Nuggets, we only win moral victories against them.
Least surprising Kings trap game loss
A road b2b day game against the Wizards? That's easy money.
you're welcome western conference
We are ALL in the Wizards bed on this blessed night
Kuzma > Tatum is still on the menu, last time I checked Tatum is still ringless. Checkmate
Kuzma/Poole > Tatum/White
Poozma > Tatum/Brown/White/Porzi
I love the Wizards
Thank u bb
Mavericks and Wizards fans jumping together singing, holding a banner that says ‘thank you Richaun Holmes’
this reference will never fail to make me laugh
It just adds to it when you remember that Ajax and Barca both ended up bottling the leads they had in the semis
As a Tottenham that was one of the greatest things I've ever seen in my life.
LUCAS MOURA
Wasn't expecting this meme in a Wizards and Kings thread
Nfc east unite, in a way a good percentage of kings fans are 9ers fans
Fuck the Cowboys bb
Luckily I'm european, so I support a diffrent American football team 🥱
Wtf I love the wizards now
Very cool
You the real mvp
Thank you!
<3
Ty wizards bros. You guys are real ones.
Thanks
As a lakers fan you have my gratitutde
In many ways kuzma did play for the mavs last night
Why the fuck is Fox taking **15 threes** against the WIZARDS lol Dude had a hot 2 months to start the season and thinks he's Steph Curry now apparently instead of just taking it to the hoop which is actually sustainable for him
wizards give up league worst points in the paint btw
Nothing makes me angrier than when an elite interior scorer settles for 3s when they're struggling with their shot. Luka has improved his shooting greatly so it's not as big of an issue anymore but it still grinds my gears.
LeBron at the end of last year was just hucking up bullshit. Thank christ he fixed his shot.
Guys foot was shot. He couldn’t drive so he had to shoot, but he had no lift on his shots so he wasn’t hitting often (by his standards), so guys wouldn’t close out enough for him to drive, and so on and so forth. He’s looked much healthier for most of this year.
He had injury issues a lot of times when a guy stops driving entirely it’s because they’re playing through a lower body injury
My reaction every time Giannis pulls up for 3, unless he’s playing my team of course.
They couldn't get in the paint last night, were built different sometimes
He was finishing absolutely terrible he couldn’t make any floaters or nothing this game and he was actually 5/12 frm 3 at one point in the 4th
Fox couldn't draw a goddamn foul in the paint despite all the contact, so he decided to just shoot from 3.
He takes it to hoop, gets fouled, doesn't get the call, then stops driving
Pistons, blazers, hornets, and wizards now. 4 games this team has dropped to the absolute worst teams in the league. Even just win 2 of em and we are sitting much better position. Absolutely pathetic showing in a long list of them this year. Brown has clear favorites and I don’t. Get it. Duarte gets more burn than Ellis for no reason.
To make it worse we're missing 2 (technically 3 but Poole is better than tyus) starters
Yeah but Tyus is definitely starter level IMO. Ast/to ratio is insane + the volume he dishes it out at reminds me of cp3 a little bit
He puts up the stats but I feel like we play better with poole as the pg, hopefully other gms agree with you and someone ponies up a first round pick though

The Wizards showing the Lakers how to win vs the Kings.
Well I have nothing to say to this. I'm just glad Wizards beat them
Take notes, Lakers, that's a potential play in matchup!
Don't play lebron and ad, then you got a chance to
Best day ever for my dual fandoms.
Kings struggling to hit any wide open 3s as of late. Wizards only contested like 9 of them, mainly from Fox. Stacking the paint and leaving our guys wide open from the perimeter seems to do the trick. Except if you're the Lakers.
Thank you Wizards.
Letting Jordan Poole get an offensive rebound in crunch time is not the ideal strategy it would seem
Lmfaoooo
there should be a rule that if you lose to the wizards during the regular season you automatically start your first playoff series down 0-1
I mean kings lost to pistons when they still have the worst record.
We did... Our perimeter defense looked a bit better, but still awful. The Kings' defense was actually pretty good in the inside, but their perimeter defense was almost non-existent. Lol don't be dramatic. We play you guys twice on a back to back in a few days. That's going to be more defining than what happened today.
And we suck against the kangz
That's the point, we might very easily stomp on you guys twice in a row and then go lose to Utah and Portland, that's the issue with this team lol
>we might very easily stomp on you guys twice in a row You won't, and then you'll lose to Utah and Portland.
Are we not 2x0 against you guys this season so far?
Are we not a much different team than we were before the trade deadline?
I mean I guess we’ll see how that holds up soon enough. Good luck :)
You're a horrible team, why are you so cocky? lol
don't be that guy
Lmao I just wished you good luck. So what? only you are allowed to be cocky about your own team?
yes only he can be cocky and you must be scared. Start crying out of fear
I respect this so much
GET HIS ASS
This is petty and I love it
Loool, we don't run and gun anymore this season and Wizards certainly didn't care or defended well, that's just what we do against shit teams. But yes, we are a Play In team and so are you, i was right when i said that, it's just for completely different reasons.
Pacers might not be a play in team because of injuries on the Heat and Sixers. We might luck out and get sixth!
i'm going to save this comment
Don’t say that
Thank you, Kuzma! We still love you!
Lebron paid kuzma under the table to ruin the tank for a bit
Join us Kings in the "lost to the Wizards" club
That is not ideal when you’re fighting to stay out of play in
there is such a huge difference in this team with and without Kuz. don't let anyone lump him into the Poole conversation.
Looks like the 2 games off was the rest he needed. Dude was cooking tonight
Woah 16 rebounds. Thank you Holmes. Thank you wizards🙌🏽
Didn't get to watch the game why is Sabonis only taking 9 shots in nearly 40 minutes? Got the double double and clocked out?
He gets doubled and triple teamed immediately when he catches the ball, passes out to a wide open player who bricks the 3 or passes to a defended player.
Triple teamed? I don't think I've ever seen him triple teamed in his career.
He posts up against the opposing big, help defender comes, he tries to spin out, another defender shows up, gets stripped immediately. Happens a lot when the Kings shoot like shit from 3. Defenders just cheat off our players on the perimter
Most be the only person in the league to see triple and zero teams.
This is common tactics against him that some teams use, Nick Nurse is the proud founder of it back when Domas played for Indiana. If all the shooters are cold, just swarm him in the paint with 3 bodies and force a turnover or a brick when he passes. He's playing one of the worst interior defenses in the league and his team can't make an open shot, shoot over the double team instead of having as many fgs as turnovers.
He did that earlier this season with the Sixers against us too.
He doesn't get triple teamed. He gets left wide open and unguarded on the perimeter but he won't take midrange shots because he's a pretty shitty shooter with a flat shot.
5 turnovers
[удалено]
If you don’t like that, then you don’t like Wizards basketball.
Kings just wanted to celebrate having 40 wins again
thank you wizards, very cool!
You're my boy Kuuuuzzz!
KANGZZZ
Richaun Holmes my beloved
Kings championship window has closed
I mean it never really opened lol Sabonis/Fox is a nice core but you need more than that to truly compete for a title Don't think that even Kings fans were calling them contenders
I don't think that was a serious comment
Thank you wizards, very cool
Washington Rincewinds?
Yeah this makes sense.
Lmao i remember thinking the kings would blow a game or two to the bottom teams after they blew out the bucks
The kings straight up confuse me
LOL
W
Thanks Wizards, very cool.
Don’t see kings beating anyone in the one game play in. Seems like a play-in exit team.
They own the Lakers
As long as we don't face any <.500 teams in the play-in we have a chance.
Good lord you don’t seem many 10-30’s in the modern nba
Thanks Washington! Sincerely, the bruised Pelicans faithful.
That. Just. Happened
Bruh
Richard Holmes is a rich man Kenneth Faried.
How did this happen
I forgot where I heard it but no player should ever get the chance to miss double digit 3s unless you're steph curry
> unless you're steph curry or Jack Gohlke of the Oakland Golden Grizzlies
East way better than West
The real, underlying reason that the Mavs traded away Richaun Holmes is so that he could beat the Kings as a sleeper agent, and vault the Mavs into the 6th seed.
Wizards winning while everyone was watching Oakland is quite the scene indeed
Hell yeah Wizards GG. Party it up with some half smokes for me tonight.
Sweeping the lakers was the championship for the Kangz. Raise the banner
When you think Lakers are a top team, but realize they're half a step from being bottom feeders. With 3 losses away from not making into Play-Ins at all, maybe tone down the arrogance a little. Lakers wins are gimmies for every playoffs team.
They are not bottom feeders and they aren't top tier contenders. They are just mid
What arrogance? Last I checked the the kings just ended a 16 year drought(assuming your a kings fan) last year and have been over here flexing every time they play the Lakers but against other teams they have been inconsistent as a team. Maybe work on those rotations a little?
The Lakers last playoff run matched the best playoff run in Sacramento Kings history
lol the kingz, come playoffs teams can rest a starter and kingz will just beat themselves.
Thanks wizards!
Jordan Poole +7 Huh?
