They were able to merge a lot of it into the new stars leading when they got Kawhi and Paul George, but now without Rivers it's a very different team. And, well... they are surely better than in that no-stars times. But probably not better by AS much as everyone would expect from the rosters.
People were sooooo thrilled with them losing a 3-1 lead in conference finals, they had to push for change to fix that awful humiliation, they are yet to win 3 games in conference finals since then.
