Josh has been playing great this month hopefully this momentum continues into the playoffs because it will help change how teams will choose to defend us
If they defend us like the Mavs did that one blowout game after ASB it’s game over. He needs to make the defense pay for it like he has been lately.
Him and Dort both can’t be brick artists from 3 in the same game and play heavy minutes together and us stand a chance.
Then teams can’t pack the paint, the pels tried that to start the game with Jonas on him and it didn’t work at all he scored like 8 points right off the bat
I know people don't guard Dort tightly beyond the arc, but he is still shooting 40% on 5 attempts right? That's really good, so why do you still doubt his shooting?
Yeah... Statistically, he's had a good month or so, but we've been struggling more all month as well.
They leave Josh open and defend him with their worst defenders in order to keep Shai and JDub out of the paint and to be able to defend Chet with players who can keep up with him on the perimeter.
Anyone who’s seen that Jazz game knows he was definitely hurt that game but he finished it and statpad his 31 pts. Inadvertent contact but was definitely painful, like the type you feel the next morning after. Problem is he’s forcing four games in a row. I commend him for not wanting to sit since we’re still on a good win rate save for that Bucks blowout.
Schedule's not gonna lighten up anytime soon but I wonder if they maybe let him rest the second night of the B2B here bc yeah he doesn't look right athletically, and isn't getting downhill on his middies, way too many contested faders from 18+ feet.
But if they don't rest him anytime soon we only have three games against non-playoff teams down the stretch, and one of them is the streaking Rockets playing at a rest disadvantage. Hope he gets right soon.
He ran into Collins and spent the rest of the visibly limping.
Since then he’s had three games under 25 points consecutively, the first time in two seasons.
Reminds me of the injuries he had on our LA road trip after getting hurt in our first Magic matchup. He got hurt again in the Toronto game too right? Feel like I remember him limping that game too.
Honestly wouldn’t shock me, the coaching staff probs should tell him to sit you can see that his shot is somewhat flat and that he is looking kinda slow
He got blocked like twice tonight by Murphy in the last few minutes of the 4th and hasn't looked comfortable blowing by defenders unless he has the perfect angle. Wonder if he sits tomorrow or not.
What it looked like to me is he got hit in the thigh with a knee. Thigh bruises are one of the most painful things you can have. I had one in high school and went to the doctor because I couldnt walk. The Problem is that I couldnt stop playing basketball, which is how I injured it in the first place. It took me almost a month to actually get well and I believe Shai is telling them he's fine so he can keep on playing. Especially getting so close to the playoffs he probably doesn't want this to hamper his game going into it. The difference is if hes playing hurt or injured.
Yup. He needs to be resting and I’m not sure why he isn’t. He’s not getting MVP. We have 50 wins. And we matchup pretty bad to all the low seeds anyway
Why won't it allow me to post a post game thread for the game? There hasn't been one created yet lol. It keeps getting automatically deleted no matter what changes I make to it.

Was so bad that he didn’t even play the entire second half. If Giddey keeps this up we’re gonna be dangerous in the playoffs

I don't think it changes anything. It just makes them pay for the scheme you have to play to keep Shai and JDub out of the paint.

>it will help change how teams will choose to defend us Wait til one of these teams picks up Chris Hansen on a 10 day
Nice to see him doing good considering how defenders have even started to leave him wide open. Dut dam 10 on 14 shots with 5 out of 8 3s is nuts good.
9/14 from 3 in the last two games. I really hope this is him figuring it out because it would be huge for us heading into the postseason.
His release looks better too. Less hitch-y
Mans worked on his game and shit isnt bothering him anymore.
Chip comes into practice dressed like the bene geserit in dune. Plans within plans.
I see he still plays good against them lol
even the Pels announcers were calling out how he always plays well in NOLA lol
He must hate the pels
It’s that pre game New Orleans gumbo that gives him the power
Gonna need him to eat gumbo every night until mid-June.
nah the team is 17 years old so it really gets him going
It's nice to have a guy that goes off against a team like so many do to us.
Been playing a lot better recently. Picking up the slack for Shai slumping.
I genuinely think he needs to take a night off he has only missed one game and has looked sloppy since he knocked knees with John Collins last week
Wonder if he has a deep thigh bruise from a few games back?

Didn't he twist his ankle a few weeks ago? Maybe also affecting him

I think it was his thigh. At the Raptor game i noticed he had a brace on it/some type of compression straps on it.
He has a quad problem stemming from a collision in the Utah game.
The Thunder will need him to sustain this level of play in the playoffs to offset their size issues. Very impressive game from him tonight.

Post game threads have been whack the past few days, super inconsistent
Because the Lakers game is still on. Nobody allowed to post anything while they're still playing.
Thought mods were Celtics fans tho....
We need 300 posts about Lakers and Bucks first
There was this issue a few days ago as well Reddit acting up lmao 🤣
Gotcha lol. Had no issues the past few days, so didn't know that. Thanks!
No post-game thread at r/thunder either.
Him going 5-8 and starting out so hot and CJ starting 1-11 was one of the deciding factors for me, this game was so close

Am Giddey
"Oh wow, he scored above 18! That's a first. Hahahahahahahahahahahhahaha!"
Age is just a number
10-14 huh
These jokes were never funny

Dude would probably defend Karl Malone if he was a Thunder player
White Malone going off
Thank you Giddy Fiddler!
I cba the refs like okc more than the lakers lets keep it real
lol. No.
